Marionetta Chapter 25 begins with Julia daydreaming about Sahed. We can’t really blame her, the man’s fine as hell. Kamille calls Julia out of her forbidden thoughts as she pulls her to come to the night party. Julia reaches there to find everything silent and empty, then everyone comes out and wishes her a happy birthday. Belated, a week late, well, better now than never. Then Kamille apologizes for forgetting it. It seems the friendship can be saved after all. Julia and Tonny had a dance; they both danced horribly. Hmm.. Sahed has competition!
Then the grandpa starts telling her his story about how he fought in the war with Steinheimer and was there when they won. Stienheimer is the person thanks to whom the war was won as he discovered the Aspett. Grandpa then continues to say he went to the store for a woman, ending Marionetta Chapter 25.
Chapter 26: Grandpa’s Young Days
Marionetta Chapter 26 starts as Grandpa was 20 when he had finished his basic schooling. Some of his classmates went for higher education or joined the army, and others started working. But he had no intention of doing that thing; he was happy and running around when he saw a woman surrounded by dogs. She said he should control his dogs better. And he has to pay for her peach.
A girl named Helen said she would forgive him if he would feed her dog three times a week, which was his first job. She was very happy, and then slowly, he fell in love with her. He was hopelessly in love, but her birthday was coming up. Then, grandpa got worried that she would start seeing suitors since in their world, they have to get married at 23, but grandpa was not 23, so he couldn’t propose to her. He was still a kid, and he turned to alcohol and he was grieving, so he decided to join the army since the army people could marry before 23. Grandpa joined the army and proposed to Helena, and they got married. But the happy times didn’t last as he got deported for the army, suddenly the words turned upside down, and he was in hell.
The war had no end in sight, little by little, months went by to years, and even making friends was risky, because he could lose them at any moment. Grandpa missed Helena’s important moments in life, like when her mother died. Uff, this chapter left in such a cliff hanger!
Marionetta Chapter 27: Grandpa And Helena
Marionetta Chapter 27 starts with Grandpa saying he barely thought about other men, men they were killing each other with. He started having panics about going back to the front lines. Helena comforts him, saying that she will always support him, wait for him even if he runs away, and they can live together in a cave. Things changed on the battlefield. A giant wave came and ended the war. It was truly a miracle for him. So, Steinheimer was a hero to Grandpa. Sahed chimes in, he met him, and Steinsheimer was a jerk. Even Tonny agrees. Wow, rare for them to agree with one another.
Then Sahed and Tonny started bantering, and Julia started teasing Tonny, laughing at him. Then Grandpa said he got a disease and joined the circus to be with his lover, and that’s how he joined and was the youngest member in the circus.
Chapter 28: Bad News
Marionetta Chapter 28 starts in a cheery tone with everyone setting up the stalls for the circus. And Sahed, as usual and up to no good, approaches Julia and gives her the task of starting a riot. Then meet him in his room at night. All the circus people ask Grandpa to invite his wife to the bonfire, to which Grandpa cheerily agrees and waits for her. He keeps waiting from morning to dusk. But she doesn’t come. Then an old man approaches him with seemingly bad news. Uh oh.
Marionetta Chapter 29: A Chaos
Marionetta Chapter 29 starts with sweet, sweet Kamille flirting with Rainah, who was trying to pass off as normal, and then Tonny finds Grandpa sad in a corner. On the other hand, Julia, even though she complained, follows what Sahed told her to do. She sneaks past the guards and jumps into the canal with a hammer to find the magical symbol that Sahed showed her. To destroy it.
Chapter 30: A Follow-up
Marionetta Chapter 30 continues right where it left off with Julia underwater, finding the seal. It makes no sense to her. She wonders why there is a seal right in the middle of Aspett. She finds it hard to swallow the truth that the government lied to them. Julia can’t believe that magic had existed everywhere, that the research centers conducted magic like Sahed had told her previously. Just when she touches the seal, she hesitates, not knowing if she should destroy it without knowing the consequences. She thinks about her dad and how worried he might be. She doubts if she can really trust an Ah’kon, but that’s the only way out, and she raises her hammer. But suddenly something unexpected happened. The waters dry up, and she runs. Julia comes to Sahed and now asks how she will go home.
Marionetta Chapter 31: The Consequences
Marionetta Chapter 31 starts with chaos in the research faculty, they gather up the Ah’kon who work for them to manipulate the seals, the other member of the circus are held at gunpoint, and Tonny is being asked to see their paper. To see that they are not the spies or perpetrators. Sahed hides tells Julia they have no time to waste and gives the dripping Julia a set of dry clothes. After changing, Julia finds him drawing strange seals on the floor, and all the lights suddenly go out. Sahed tells Julia Kalgratt is just a farce. But Sahed tells Julia not to worry because he knows more seals than they do, ending Marionetta Chapter 31.
Marionetta Chapter 32: The Aftermath
In Marionetta Chapter 32, Sahed asks Julia to be patient, and Rainah will do the next thing now. And when the guards are thinking about the light problem, Rainah pulls aside an Ah’kon and asks him if he wants to escape the research center. Rainah shows him her third eye to prove that she is a friend. As the scientists say that the reason none of the matches are working is that someone in the city must have drawn the magic seal of fire. And that they must find him. The other Ah’kon follows Rainah to meet with Julia and Sahed. He tells the Ah’kon Jather that he will be able to wear what he wants, including earrings, and that the military won’t stop it. Sahed asks Julia to bring Tonny so that Jather and his friends can join the circus, ending Marionetta Chapter 32.
