With chapter 55, Baby Tyrant concluded its successful and well-received first season. Endearing characters, light comedy, and a slow-paced storyline are the key ingredients to the Baby Tyrant recipe. Let’s dig into Season 2- starting with Baby Tyrant Chapter 56-63!
In Season 1, Mabel’s initial journey from infant princess to child Emperor is defined. Not only is she the ruler of Ermaneau, but Mabel carries the memories of her past life and is the prophesized Seed of God. Given the extraordinary ability to communicate with living beings and summon forces of nature, Mabel bears the burden of saving the world from certain doom. Mabel formed many close relationships over the course of the first season. She learned to accept Oscar (her adoring brother) and Estevan (her hilariously and excessively overprotective father) as family. She began to respect Lisandro and Duchess Donovan. Furthermore, she befriended Aidan, the formidable “Demon of Devlin”.
Mabel earned Aidan’s loyalty and made him her personal guard and partner in overthrowing the enemy Devlin Empire. Mabel also met Emili Javier, the seemingly well-mannered and courteous sister of Mabel’s beloved friend, Enrique Javier (but really, she’s a perfidious megalomaniac). Their father, Duke Javier, frequently tries to ruin the Imperial family and has even plotted to kill Mabel. In Baby Tyrant Chapter 55, Mabel is required to take lessons taught by a recommended priest from Abelardo. In her first class, Mabel identifies her teacher as the mysterious Holy Emperor of Abelardo himself. He informs Mabel of a previously undisclosed part of the Oracle’s prophecy. Citing the parched lands of the West as proof, Abelardo signals the upcoming destruction of the world. The chapter and subsequently the first season ends with Abelardo telling Mabel she must save their world, let’s see what happens in Baby Tyrant Chapter 56-63.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 56: Mabel And Aidan’s Picnic
Baby Tyrant Chapter 56 begins as five-year-old Mabel tosses and turns in her bed, unable to sleep. In the middle of the night, Aidan enters her bedroom. Looking for his perspective, Mabel asks Aidan how he would feel if their world disappeared. At first, Aidan thinks he doesn’t care. But looking at Mabel, he realizes he wants to watch her grow up. “I’m not sure,” he replies, looking away from her. Aidan then informs her that Duke Javier is planning to obtain a gold mine, soon going up for auction. Mabel tells Aidan her plan to bid for it, drive up the price, and then excavate all its gold. She rubs her hands gleefully at the thought of leaving him with an extremely expensive and useless empty mine.
Later, at Duke Javier’s manor, Javier rages over another unfavorable auction. A dark-robed man ruins his bidding, either driving up the price or just buying his item of interest, every time. He has a burning desire to figure out the hooded man’s identity and decides to anonymously use Evil (a mysterious yet popular intelligence guild created by Mabel) for information.
The White Stone
Later, Aidan and Mabel have a picnic on the palace grounds. Aidan, the incognito guild master, tells Mabel of Duke Javier’s request to use Evil for intel. “Hehe… dug his own grave, did he? What a fool!” Mabel says (only slightly evilly).
While they embrace this good news, Mabel’s mole pops out of the dirt bringing news on Duke Javier’s gold mine excavation. The mole brings a pearl white stone they found in the mines. Mabel realizes it resembles the divine artifact she received from Abelardo. Previously, it caused her powers to go, frankly, haywire. She flinches away from the rock and tells Aidan of her suspicion about the smooth stone. Aidan informs Mabel that he also received intel that Duke Javier was purchasing gold mines to specifically find one object.
Mabel, wanting to figure out the Duke’s plan, wishes she could get into his manor. She suddenly remembers Emili’s tea party invitation and begins to tell Aidan of her brilliant plan to infiltrate the Javier mansion. Baby Tyrant Chapter 56 concludes as Estevan interrupts their picnic, jealous that Mabel went on her first picnic with Aidan and not him.
Chapter 57: Mabel’s Crayon Masterpieces
Baby Tyrant Chapter 57 begins as Mabel expertly maneuvers Estevan’s envy by promising to go on two picnics with him. Later, Mabel goes to Oscar and asks him to reply to Emili Javier’s tea party invitation. Oscar expresses his concern, telling Mabel she shouldn’t attend on her own. He tells Mabel that he’ll accompany her. Mabel cheerfully declines his offer saying, “I’m planning to go with Aidan!” and leaves Oscar dumbstruck.
As sunset ignites the blue sky into a deep orange glow, Oscar and Estevan surprise each other by simultaneously showing up outside Mabel’s bedroom. As they walk in to meet her, they find her asleep with a crayon in her hand and an unfinished painting beside her head. They examine her drawings, misinterpreting her game plan sketch for infiltrating Duke Javier’s manor as an abstract artwork and her painting of the Guardian Deity as a portrait of Enrique. Jealous of Aidan spending time with Mabel, Oscar, and Estevan plan to sabotage their relationship.
The next day, Larimah teases Aidan by asking him how pretty Mabel looks in her new dress. “The dress suits you well,” he says, in his usual straightforward manner. “Let’s go, Aidan!” Mabel says, grabbing his hand. She immediately lets go, realizing he may not be comfortable when suddenly he grabs her hand again. Estevan comes up behind them and yells at Aidan for holding Mabel’s hand, after she let go and without her permission. Baby Tyrant Chapter 57 concludes as Aidan watches Mabel leave with her father and smiles.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 58: Estevan Donates to Charity
Baby Tyrant Chapter 58 begins as Mabel enters a hall where the auction of her prized possessions is taking place. A few days prior, Mabel had asked Gustaf to help sell her things to raise money for the drought-affected children in Ermaneau. Gustaf was touched by Mabel’s thoughtfulness and swore to successfully sell her things.
At present, a shocked Mabel notices Estevan and her grandfather among the bidders. Gustaf brings out normally useless pieces of junk, like Mabel’s old stuffed toy, to auction off. Gustaf expertly markets her items and appeals to the audience by cooking up an extra emotional backstory for her commodities. In any case, every single item gets sold due to Estevan who shuts down other bidders with his ridiculously lofty prices. Winning every article by bidding with tens of thousands each time, Mabel groans thinking, ‘At this rate, all we’re doing is taking Daddy’s money!’ Gustaf resolves the problem by taking away Estevan’s right to bid. Baby Tyrant Chapter 58 ends with a hefty amount of money raised (thanks, Estevan) and an unknown individual calling out for Mabel.
Chapter 59: Mabel the Walking Fine Generator
Baby Tyrant Chapter 59 begins as Mabel’s Uncle requests to pat her head, having been unable to purchase a single item during the auction (thanks again, Estevan). Mabel rejects the preposterous pea but allows her Uncle to shake her hand instead. Suddenly, all the nobles swarm around her and ask for a handshake. Angered by the live petting zoo in front of him, Estevan announces a fee for anyone wishing to touch Mabel. This ridiculous tax doesn’t deter them, however, which gives birth to Mabel’s reputation as a walking fine generator.
Meanwhile, a disguised Casey (Aidan’s, or rather, Ethan’s assistant at Evil) finds Duke Javier playing cards at a salon. Casey approaches him, marking the beginning of Evil’s relationship with Javier (and Mabel’s subsequent information on the Duke). Later, Enrique receives Mabel’s affirmative reply to Emili’s tea party invite. Angered, he stomps to Emili and tells her not to hurt Mabel. “Like I said before,” Emili says walking away, “Mind your business.”
Mabel arrives at the Javier mansion and enthusiastically greets Emili. She praises her party and calls Emili ‘truly remarkable’ for holding such a wonderful gathering at her age. Baby Tyrant Chapter 59 concludes as Emili recalls Enrique’s words to not harm Mabel.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 60: A Horse Tale
Baby Tyrant Chapter 60 begins as Mabel puts her infiltration plan into motion by spilling tea on herself. She takes her guards (Lisandro and Aidan) with her to wash her hands, thereby getting away from the tea party. The first step in her plan is to lose Lisandro, which Mabel does by sending him on a wild goose chase to find her lost ring.
Next, Mabel searches for the manor stables. Since Duke Javier would need transportation to the mines, Mabel decides to use his horses as a source of information. She walks into the empty stable and bribes the uncooperative horses with sugar cubes. The horses confirm Duke Javier is looking for the special white stone.
Suddenly, Mabel hears two men approach the stables. She panics and is unable to find a hiding spot. Mabel fears she’ll be discovered when someone unexpectedly grabs her right in time. Her savior turns out to be Enrique, who helps her escape the stables unnoticed. As Enrique begins to inquire about the reason behind Mabel’s little barn adventure, Aidan appears and firmly says, “That’s enough.” Baby Tyrant Chapter 60 concludes with a palpable tension between the two boys.
Chapter 61: Mabel Defends Aidan
Baby Tyrant Chapter 61 begins with Aidan and Enrique in a standoff. “So you’re the Demon of Devlin?” Enrique asks with cold air, realizing the rumors of Mabel’s personal guard to be true. “In case you weren’t aware, I abandoned that particular moniker some time ago,” Aidan says. “Well, who’s to say?” Enrique retorts as the tension increases. “Get lost,” Aidan says (to Enrique Javier while standing on the Javier manor grounds). Shocked Mabel quickly ushers Aidan away and bids goodbye to Enrique. As they walk back to the tea party, Mabel tells Aidan not to be rude to Enrique again, calling him a ‘sensitive soul’. “That’s not the impression I got,” Aidan says.
Approaching the party, Mabel hears one of the girls, Lady Mitteron, denigrate Aidan. Mabel turns to him, expecting to see him hurt, but instead, Aidan nonchalantly brushes the comments off. “I’m used to such talk,” he explains, angering Mabel. She storms towards Mitteron and confronts her about their discussion. Lady Mitteron explains they were discussing the latest ribbon styles, prompting Mabel to snap back, “Aidan is not my ribbon.”
Hearing the commotion, Emili comes running and immediately asks Lady Mitteron to apologize. Mabel is grateful for Emili’s kindness, however, she decides to leave the party regardless. In the carriage, Mabel asks Aidan about Duke Javier and Count Mitteron’s close relationship. Baby Tyrant Chapter 61 concludes as Mabel decides to go after Count Mitteron, using his illegal gambling and auction houses as an advantage.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 62: Count Mitteron Is Arrested
Baby Tyrant Chapter 62 begins as Aidan informs Mabel that Count Mitteron is Duke Javier’s source of funds. Mabel plans to ruin Mitteron, thereby cutting Duke Javier off. She attends a tea party hosted by Count Mitteron to apologize for his daughter’s offensive behavior. The young Lady Mitteron asks Mabel for forgiveness, upon which Mabel tells her to apologize to Aidan instead.
As the company walks through Mitteron’s gardens, Mabel asks Aidan if he approves of the manor. Mabel’s ploy ends with her confiscating it and making it the Evil headquarters. Aidan calls it ‘magnificent’. She gives the signal and Aidan obediently sets the plan into action. A man suddenly barges into the gardens begging for an audience with Mabel and before the guards can drag him out, Mabel expresses her wish to hear him out. The man introduces himself as Hanson, an employee at Count Mitteron’s gambling house, who created two separate ledgers for the Count’s illegal procedures. He explains Count Mitteron’s threat to hurt his family if he quits and pleads with Mabel to protect them.
In the background, Count Mitteron repeatedly denies each claim. To prove his point, Hanson takes out the two ledgers and throws them down as evidence. Examining the papers, Lisandro gives the order to arrest Count Mitteron. Aidan returns to Mabel’s side as Mitteron is dragged away by the guards. Baby Tyrant Chapter 62 concludes as Mabel tells Aidan that they make a great team.
Chapter 63: Javier Turns to Ace for Help
Baby Tyrant Chapter 63 begins as ex-Count Mitteron bangs the Javier manor gates, pleading to be let in. Duke Javier ignores the desperate man. stating that he ‘outlived his usefulness’.
Duke Javier places orders on his servant to retrieve the money he invested in Mitteron’s businesses only to find that Count Mitteron’s wealth had already been acquired by someone else. Moreover, his assistant tells him that his gold mines seem to be empty of any precious metals. Javier spirals into a well of shame and shock. Although his inability to pay off current debts can be handled, the entire situation is a matter of pride to him. Just then, a man named ‘Ace’ unexpectedly asks to meet Javier. Ace had previously given Javier a few useful tips to help him make small profits and gain confidence. Timing his visit during Duke Javier’s most desperate hour, Ace secures Javier’s dependence on him. He reveals himself to be an Evil agent and offers his services to Javier.
Meanwhile, Mabel reflects on her work. The House of Mitteron has fallen and the ex-Count himself has been ruined. Although Duke Javier had quickly covered up his trail, Mabel had ensured his financial instability. She had also confiscated Mitteron’s assets, including his wealth and his manor- or the soon-to-be Evil headquarters. Baby Tyrant Chapter 63 concludes as Gustaf walks into Mabel’s room.
