Mabel, a reincarnation of Gyeoul Yoon, is the Seed of God. She possesses the unique ability to communicate with living beings and summon forces of nature. Living in poverty, loneliness, and an abusive father in her previous life, Mabel finds it hard to adjust to her new loving father and brother. As a one-year-old, Mabel was crowned Empress of Ermaneau, the largest empire on the continent. Although she schemes to get herself dethroned, she continues to do good for her family and people. She also offers refuge to Aidan, known as the Demon of Devlin, who seeks asylum in her kingdom due to the clarity of thought he feels in Mabel’s presence.
After summoning rain for the people of the dry wastelands in the West, Mabel, with her father, brother, and other soldiers, begins the journey back home. Suddenly, her procession is placed under an attack. Oscar runs out with his sword to protect Mabel and she obstinately follows him. Chapter 40 ends with Mabel promising to protect Oscar from the enemy as they walk toward the fight. Let us how Baby Tyrant Chapter 41-48 will turn out!
Baby Tyrant Chapter 41: Cicero Tries to Kill Mabel

Baby Tyrant Chapter 41 begins as Cicero, the imperial carriage escort, rushes towards Oscar and Mabel. Cicero claims to know their father’s location and starts to lead them there. The forest around them has been set ablaze and is burning quickly. Mabel glances around and realizes something is wrong. In such a situation, Estevan would be the first person to come running to save her. Suddenly, she is attacked by an enchanter. Oscar begins to duel the enemy but Mabel pushes him out of the way. Cicero quickly manages to protect Mabel, injuring his back and dropping his sword in the process. Mabel recognizes the pattern on his blade and catches on to Cicero.
Cicero smirks and says, “It seems Your Majesty’s figured me out. Shall we just get on with it?” He grabs Mabel and holds the sword against her, “Don’t come any closer Prince.” Oscar tells Cicero to free Mabel at once and further adds that their father could come at any time. Cicero chortles and explains that Estevan was placed under a paralysis spell, “He probably can’t even budge an inch! Perhaps he’s being soundly thrashed by my underlings as we speak..” He begins to walk saying that his orders are to kill Mabel in front of her doting father. Deeply angered by this sentiment, Mabel thinks ‘You wretched scoundrel! You won’t get away with this!’ The sky starts rumbling and her powers start stirring. ‘I won’t let you hurt anybody! Not me, Oscar, nanny, Larimah… or my father!’
In a sudden burst of strength, Mabel escapes Cicero’s grasp and attempts to dash away. Baby Tyrant Chapter 41 of Baby Tyrant concludes as Cicero grabs ahold of Mabel and lifts his sword to kill her.
Chapter 42: Mabel Heals Estevan

Baby Tyrant Chapter 42 begins ominously with no usual prologue. Cicero moves to bring his sword down on Mabel who thinks, ‘This isn’t fair… I haven’t even had a proper chance to live my life.’ His blade meets flesh, but it isn’t Mabel he stabbed. It’s Estevan.
Dying, Estevan assures Mabel that she is safe now that her father is here. He coughs up blood while he says, “Do you remember the promise I made you? I swore no danger would befall you… because I-I’ll.. protect you.” As Cicero dashes away, pleased that he killed Estevan, Oscar yells at the imperial soldiers to stop him from escaping.
Oscar and Mabel kneel next to Estevan. Mabel cries reliving the trauma and pain of being left alone by her parents in her previous life. She remembers how Estevan loved her and cared for her despite the walls she had created around her. ‘If you were going to leave me like this, you should never have held me in your arms and told me you loved me’ she thinks, miserably. She was finally learning to live happily with a loving family like she’d always desired. “Dun go… dun leave me… don’t leave me here all alone!” she yells suddenly, channeling all her energy into Estevan. Across the battlefield, guards watch as golden rays of light fall from the sky like rain.
Estevan’s stab wound and small injuries start miraculously healing. He blinks and opens his eyes again, saying “M-Mabel…?” Baby Tyrant Chapter 42 concludes with Mabel falling unconscious after bringing Estevan back from the brink of death.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 43: Aidan Stops Cicero

Baby Tyrant Chapter 43 begins with Aidan’s point of view of the attack on Mabel. Aidan (the Demon of Devlin) doesn’t care about Ermaneau’s future but he needs to ensure Mabel’s safety. Therefore after recognizing Cicero as Viscount Dargo, Veron Devlica’s associate, Aidan decides to inform Lisandro. His warning comes too late as the procession is suddenly ambushed by the enemy. Aidan watches as Lisandro is placed under a paralysis spell by an enchanter who immediately dashes away.
Aidan understands that the enchanters must have beforehand knowledge of the carriages and their passengers to know the exact location of each important swordmaster. He realizes that Estevan, and by extension, Mabel must be in danger.
Aidan chases down the fleeing Cicero (AKA Viscount Dargo) and stops him from escaping. The imperial soldiers hesitantly thank Aidan for his help. Then he dashes away, hoping to reach Mabel in time. Momentarily, he is stopped by the golden droplets of light that fall from the sky (Mabel healing Estevan). He clenches his fist as he watches Estevan hug an unconscious Mabel. Baby Tyrant Chapter 43 concludes with Mabel, still comatose, safely in her bed at the palace.
Chapter 44: Mabel Finally Awakens

Baby Tyrant Chapter 44 begins as Estevan blames and reprimands himself for Mabel’s comatose state. Oscar walks in, mirroring Estevan’s thoughts, saying, “Father, this is all my fault. I should’ve protected Mabel…” Estevan quickly dismisses the statement and tells Oscar not to beat himself up. “Yes, Father,” he says obediently, although dejectedly trodding away with sagged shoulders.
At the same time, Lisandro walks in with Aidan, to give his account of the event. Aidan explains Viscount Dargo’s background and association with Vero Devlica to Estevan, which reaffirms his suspicion of the Devlin Emperor.
Estevan Cannot Sleep
Later, Estevan expresses his inability to sleep, saying “How can a father whose life was saved at the expense of his daughter’s sleep?” Spending his time in anger and anxiety, Estevan says he cannot stop himself from wanting to strike down everyone around him. “I promised Sianna (his deceased wife) that I would not take the life of another without good cause. However, surely she’ll understand this time…” he says, darkly. “She must…” he says, heading towards Dargo’s cell.
As many days pass sorrowfully in the royal palace, word of Mabel’s astonishing feat spreads to all the corners of the kingdom. She had saved Estevan from certain death and collaterally healed every single soldier’s wounds in the vicinity. As a month passes, Gustaf urges Estevan to reach out to Abelardo for help.
Mabel Has A Dream
Meanwhile, in her sleep, Mabel dreams of her life as Gyeoul Yoon. She lived a life seeking companionship and love but all she found was the pitiful stares of children and adults instead. Spending her days in misery, all alone in sickness, hunger, and poverty, Gyeoul always dreamed of someone she could rely on. She finally realizes that Estevan could give her that love. Even though she had always pushed him away, he had loved her nonetheless. ‘It’s much too late but would it be alright to say it now?’ she thinks. Baby Tyrant Chapter 44 concludes as Mabel says, ‘Daddy’, out loud, raising her arms to hug Estevan.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 45: Mabel Thanks Estevan

Baby Tyrant Chapter 45 begins with Estevan sharing his trivial desire to hear Mabel call him ‘daddy’. After calling him ‘baba’ she immediately jumped to calling him ‘father’. All of his previous concerns melted away as Mabel awoke from her month-long slumber uttering the word, “Daddy.” After Mabel awakes, it seems as though the entire royal palace breathes a sigh of relief. As everyone rejoices over her consciousness, Oscar confines himself. ‘I don’t deserve to see her’ he thinks, as he repeatedly practices his swordsmanship skills. ‘I’m pathetic!’
In her bed, Mabel is awake, both from her long sleep and ignorance. She finally appreciates her second chance at life and loving family for what they are. She decides to never think about leaving them and live a normal life. Right then, Estevan walks into her room and hugs Mabel. She squeezes him tightly and says, “Thank you for takin’ care of me.” Packed in those words is a deeper meaning. She is thanking him for loving her despite her ungratefulness. Mabel asks after Oscar and Estevan explains that he has been practicing with his sword daily. Baby Tyrant Chapter 45 concludes as Mabel realizes how much she misses Oscar.
Chapter 46: Mabel’s Nightmare

Chapter 46 begins with Mabel on her way to visit Oscar after awakening from her month-long coma. While walking with Mabel, Lisandro mentions, “I’m so relieved that you’re awake,” indicating the growth of their relationship. As soon as she arrives and sees Oscar practicing, Mabel runs towards him with open arms, “Oshcar! Iss me!”
Unexpectedly, Oscar drops his sword and sprints away from Mabel’s warm greeting. “Don’t come any closer, Mabel! I don’t have the right to see you!” he yells. While chasing after Oscar, Mabel falls down, and following his big brotherly instincts, Oscar immediately goes to help her up. Mabel notices scars on Oscar’s outstretched hand from his extensive practice. She confronts him right then about it and realizes he was blaming himself for being unable to protect her from the attack.
Endearingly, Mabel whacks Oscar calling him a ‘moron’ and a ‘poopyhead’. She touches his hand and explains that being family means protecting each other. That night, Mabel has a nightmare. Her old family (from her life as Gyeoul) abandoned her once again. Unfazed, Mabel runs to her new family, Estevan and Oscar, who truly love her. However, even they push her away and leave her. She wakes up scared, in the middle of the night, to two familiar faces. The real Estevan and Oscar hover above her, ready to protect her from any threat. Estevan assures Mabel not to worry about her dream. Oscar puts forth the idea of sleeping in Mabel’s bed for the night and both Estevan and Oscar start arguing over who gets the honor. Baby Tyrant Chapter 46 concludes as Mabel thinks, ‘If anyone dares to mess with the people I care about… I will make them pay.’
Baby Tyrant Chapter 47: Mabel Demands Yellium

Baby Tyrant Chapter 47 begins with a quick epilogue of Mabel asking an astonished holy priest for ‘Yellium’. An hour before, Am Clemen, a bishop from the Abelardo Empire presents himself to Mabel. He holds her hand to examine her, giving Mabel a familiar queasy feeling. Clemen addresses her as ‘Your Majesty Emperor Mabel Winter Gardenia Ermaneau’ where ‘Winter’ is a sacred name given to the Seed of God. Estevan objects to the usage of the word and Clemen claims they must use the word in exchange for Abelardo’s aid in waking Mabel. Mabel realizes that she only fell unconscious because her powers had become unmanageable due to Abelardo’s divine artefact. Angered by the sneaky tactic, she decides to trick the priest.
She asks the priest what use being the ‘Seed of God’ is, and manipulates him into agreeing that she is the second most powerful being in the world after God. Mabel recalls that ‘Yellium’ is an object of utmost importance, given only to Abelardo’s highest authority, and therefore asks Clemen to give it to her. Baffled by the extreme demand, the priest hurriedly rushes out of the room.
Mabel Wants Aidan As Her Guard
Then, Mabel asks her father for a favor. “I want Aiduhn as my pershonal guard!” she says. Mabel insists that Aidan would never hurt her and whittles her father’s objection away. Estevan grants Mabel her wish on the condition that she should stay in Lisandro’s sight.
Mabel meets up with Aidan and asks him to be her personal guard. Without any explanation or objection, Aidan immediately nods in agreement. Mabel tells Aidan that she needs him for his information about the Devlin Empire. She offers him her hand and asks if he wants to crush Veron Devlica together. Aidan kneels and agrees once again. Baby Tyrant Chapter 47 concludes as Veron Devlica says “So you dared to betray me and defect to Ermaneau?”
Chapter 48: Mabel Is Five

Baby Tyrant Chapter 48 begins with a flashback of Aidan kneeling in front of Veron Devlica in his throne room. Aidan asks Devlica for the command of his forces to strike down Ermaneau. Having a personal vendetta against Estevan for cutting off his arm, Devlica agrees to Aidan’s request. In the present, Veron Devlica, angered by the betrayal, says “This isn’t over.”
Meanwhile, years pass in Ermaneau and Mabel is now five years old. She has been closely working with Aidan for intel on Devlin spies. While walking with him in the gardens, she slips and is immediately caught by him. Estevan approaches them and regards Aidan coldly creating palpable tension between them. Mabel quickly escalates the situation by thanking Aidan for rescuing her from a deadly concussion (definitely an exaggeration) and asking Estevan to thank him as well. “Thank you… I suppose” he says, insincerely.
Later in the council meeting, the members brought up the persistent drought in the West. Even after Mabel’s miraculous summoning of rain, the ground had dried up again. Mabel desires to help the people but finds herself without the freedom to do so. Baby Tyrant Chapter 48 concludes as Duke Javier brings up the upcoming Founding Ceremony.
