After rescuing Oscar and Falstaff, Duo now has a strong team who are willing to confront the cloaked figure just to get the hell out of there! Crossing hurdles like the tricky chess game and life-threatening song notes challenge, the team has finally come face-to-face with the villain – Zero. Let’s meet the tiny villain of Duo’s life in Duo Leveling Chapter 4!
Duo Leveling Chapter 4: What Do You Want?

Duo Leveling Chapter 4 begins with Duo and his team entering an icy palace. And suddenly a creepy voice emerges, “he he he!” Frustrated, Duo screams, “Show yourself, you fiend! Sits there on the throne with all his pride, the cloaked figure, “I do adore a captive audience.” With that line, he freezes the legs of every member, immobilizing them. Brave, Lily asks without any hesitation, “Who are you? What do you want?” Smirking, he says he is the reason they are all trapped in this place, and they can call him Zero. (A character with the name Zero is confident to win, hmm, irony?)
Weirdly Duo smiles, knowing he was right and his calculations were correct – the flaw in the portal was not because of him. As soon as he says that, Zero opens a portal to give the team a quick glimpse of what’s happening in the world. A soldier says, “Lily, we got your message. Reinforcements are coming, hold on –“ But before he could come through the portal, Zero throws them away. The green owl was quick to remark, You disgust me. Coming face-to-face with Duo, Zero shows his true colors and says the real disgusting thing is the access to magical lessons. The fact that Duo offers knowledge and power to any “schmuch” who happens to walk by the tool is what disgusts Zero. Classic! A villain who hates knowledge and doesn’t want everyone to have access to it because knowledge is power!
Zero Offers Lily to Join Him

Zero finds Duo’s concept of learning stupid and believes he has fixed his lessons by making them difficult for everyone. A difficult lesson with the consequence of disappearing from the world, capitalist much! Zari was quick to object, saying everyone deserves to leave and that certainly shouldn’t involve them risking their lives. Zero smirks again, “My portals separate the winners from the losers. They ensure that anyone less than exceptional gets weeded out. Why waste knowledge on idiots who won’t do anything worthwhile with it? Only the best should be allowed to thrive.”
Looking at the team, Zero makes an annoyed expression, saying some riff-raff still manages to escape through the creaks of his strict learning process. As Oscar tries to say something, his mouth gets frozen. Zari objects, saying the challenges were unreasonable and, top learner or not, no one could have finished it all by themselves. This time, Zero directly addresses Zari. He says she is talented, but just like Duo, she is very cheerful and altruistic, and it’s nauseating to watch them willing to risk their lives for others. While targeting Oscar and Falstaff again with his words, he says he just wants the best, so “Join me, Lily!” With those bold remarks, Duo Leveling Chapter 4 ends.
