In the romance webtoon, My Clueless Love Diary, Cho-Eun traverses college life, despite her unusual background as the granddaughter of a prominent gang leader, and tries to fit in. Instead of the ordinary life she dreamt of, she soon finds herself in the middle of drama, gossip, and a big love… rectangle. Little does she know, danger lurks nearby and betrayal threatens to reveal itself. Previously in My Clueless Love Diary, Cho-Eun starts university, makes new friends (somewhat forcibly), and piques everyone’s interest. What happens next? Let’s explore My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 9-15 to find out!
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 9: Cho-Eun Stubbornly Befriends Byeongmok (For Real This Time)

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 9 begins with the online university forum where the most trending topic is the skirmish between Yeonhui and Cho-Eun. All the students of the college begin actively gossiping about their fight. Due to Yeonhui’s influence and the fact that she’s “wounded” at the hospital, they negatively regard Cho-Eun as the evildoer. Quietly, Byeongmok watches the rumours fly, knowing that Yeonhui had faked the whole thing.
Meanwhile, Cho-Eun aggressively trains at her house. When she’s finished releasing her anger, her bodyguards present her with the information she’d requested on Yeonhui and Byeongmok. According to the research, they’d met in middle school. Yeonhui, the granddaughter of the powerful SH Group’s chairman, had begun harassing Byeongmok, the recipient of the SH Foundation Scholarship, since then.
Her bodyguards theorize that, since Yeonhui was violent towards him and his friends, Byeongmok had isolated himself to protect others from her wrath. They tell her that because she’d lived a life of privilege, she’d only come off as insincere if she tried to help Byeongmok, who’d struggled all his life. The bodyguards explain that they were born into different worlds and that nothing could bridge the gap between them. However, Cho-Eun resolutely decides to be Byeongmok’s support against Yeonhui. “Tell her to bring it on, ’cause I’m gonna be Byeongmok’s fortitude! Because that’s what friendship is,” she says boldly. Worriedly, her bodyguards cryptically message an unknown person to watch out for Cho-Eun’s safety.
Cho-Eun’s Mysterious Bodyguard
The next morning, Cho-Eun merrily greets Miro, who’d arrived in the lecture room early. The few students in class begin whispering about her as she enters, but she remains impervious. Not much later, Seok-Ho enters and instantly reads the room. Grudgingly- well aware of the gossip surrounding her, he sits next to Cho-Eun. She notices his new phone and teases him about it. Meanwhile, sitting inconspicuously in the back, Byeongmok silently watches Cho-Eun gaily laugh with her friends. He, nauseated with anxiety, begins to worry for her and decides to warn her about Yeonhui.
After class, Cho-Eun connects her fist to the wall behind Byeongmok. Small cracks appear in the concrete next to his face. She challenges him to ‘say it again’ when Byeongmok hesitantly tries to persaude her to leave him alone. She obstinately repudiates all his attempts to push her away and insists on being his friend. “Just give me a chance to get involved in your business, my friend,” she tells him. Hearing the words ‘my friend’, Byeongmok becomes emotional (although, according to him, he’s not crying).
At the same time, Miro monitors them from behind a wall. He whips out his phone and texts, in the same cryptic language Cho-Eun’s bodyguards had used, to inform them that she’s safe, concluding My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 9.
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 10: Yeonhui Has a Frutrating Day

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 10 begins as Byeongmok pays Yeonhui an angry visit at her hospital (she seems healthier than ever).
An hour before, Byeongmok had told Cho-Eun about his miserable life at school. She’d punched the cement in response and told him she’d take Yeonhui down. Inspired by her bold spirit and rare honesty, he’d stepped up with the decision to confront his bully himself. “I think I’ve changed,” he’d thought, looking at Cho-Eun’s beaming smile, “And I think you may be the reason.”
Presently, in the hospital corridors, Yeonhui praises Byeongmok for immediately running to her. She arrogantly tells him to reflect on his actions and apologize. Heart pounding and mind racing, Byeongmok tries to force the words out. “I’m done, Yeonhui Song!” he says, weakly ending things with her and then quickly scampering away.
Watching him pathetically leave, Yeonhui smirks and dials a number on her phone. Her contact, Manager Kim, instantly picks up. When Yeonhui explains Byeongmok’s uncooperation, Kim promptly understands the situation, indicating that this wasn’t the first time such a situation had arisen. She explains that she wants Cho-Eun rendered unable to walk for six months, instead of their norm of four weeks. She threatens her surprised manager to get the job done and, frustratingly, storms back into her room (walking perfectly on her bandaged leg).
Miro Cleverly Confronts Yeonhui
As she fantasizes about teaching Cho-Eun a lesson- a sweet daydream- Miro whisks inside her room. Yeonhui sees her colleague and immediately brightens up with his unexpected visit. Adopting her best victimized-young-girl persona, Yeonhui grabs Miro’s arm and looks at him with puppy dog eyes. She begins to express her inability to walk and her fear of Cho-Eun when Miro suddenly lunges outwards. He pounds her bed in an effort to “smash a mosquito” and sees that Yeonhui has recoiled from his fist, her legs tucked inward.
After she falls into his clever trap, Miro exposes her lie. He explains that, since her grandfather’s company has ties with the White Tiger clan (who are wary of the Hongsal clan), she was walking on eggshells. He informs her that Hongsal’s granddaughter had joined their college, prompting Yeonhui to finally connect the dots and pinpoint Cho-Eun as the girl he spoke of. Miro conjectures that even before the White Tiger clan turns on her family, Cho-Eun’s secret bodyguard might deal with her himself (who is Miro himself, of course).
Meanwhile, at the college, Yuhyeon, the young TA, has tea with University President Jeongmin Cha. Jeongmin asks Yuhyeon whether he’d met Hongsal’s granddaughter- and shockingly, his fiancée- yet, concluding My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 10.
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 11: Feelings Arise… so Cho-Eun Headbutts the Wall

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 11 begins as the President asks Yuhyeon about his fiancée, Cho-Eun, whom he’d delayed studying abroad for. The engagement had been decided by the President, who treated Yuhyeon as family, and Hongsal long ago. Yuhyeon admits that he’d been thinking about the situation and ponders the best time to reveal himself to her. For the next few days at the university, Yeonhui is interestingly absent, much to Byeongmok’s happiness. On one such day, Cho-Eun arrives at the packed college cafeteria with Miro and Seok-Ho. She spies her favourite- shrimp- and immediately brightens up. Miro notices her reaction and piles the shrimp on her plate.
Cho-Eun Thinks About Miro
Later, during a class, a girl asks Cho-Eun whether there was something going on between her and Miro. After she explains how she’d seen him take care of her at lunch, Cho-Eun begins to muse over her relationship with him. At home, she asks her bodyguard about Miro and whether he was one of Hongsal’s people (what a guess!) However, her guard suggests that he must simply like her and therefore, look out for her. At the possibility, Cho-Eun drops the pen she holds in surprise. However, she forces herself not to get carried away, reminding herself that kindness does not equal feelings.
Although she tells herself to ignore it, she ends up staying up all night thinking about him. She searches for the best way to know whether or not to date someone, and on the Internet’s advice, she almost pictures herself kissing him. Panicked that she’d committed a “mental sexual harassment”, Cho-Eun headbutted the concrete wall (cracking it, obviously). Turning to the mirror, she notices her red ears, similar to Miro’s a few days ago. Chapter 11 concludes as she remains awake in the night, desiring to know the reason his ears had turned pink that day.
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 12: Meet Wonyeong Seol

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 12 begins as Cho-Eun packs for her first overnight college trip. She excitedly- no, not excitedly, tiredly- shuts her suitcase. For the past few nights, she’d been unable to rest due to the Miro fantasy. In the college bus, Cho-Eun becomes increasingly nauseated. Miro offers his water bottle to her, and her cheeks turn pink. Awkwardly flustered, she pulls away from him.
At that moment, Seok-Ho removes his earphones and irritably shoves Cho-Eun away from him (she sits next to him). He scolds her for not taking medication for her motion sickness and describes her face as zombie-like. While they bicker, the other students call them ‘adorable’. Seok-Ho gives her his bottle and tells her to take a nap while Miro looks on, his fingers fidgeting with his own bottle.
When the buses finally arrive, the teachers strictly instruct them to follow their student rep. Outside the building, two boys complain about the lack of girls in their department and jokingly think about changing their majors. Wonyeong Seol, their student rep, comes up behind them and grabs them by their shirts. He puts them in their place, while the previously annoyed girls praise him, concluding Chapter 12.
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 13: Cho-Eun Throws Up

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 13 begins as Cho-Eun staggers to the nurse’s office, feeling extremely nauseated. Despite not being able to sleep, she remains optimistic about her trip, nevertheless. According to her, she simply needs medicine. However, when she reaches the medical center, she finds that they’d briefly closed for a lunch break. Peering through the glass, she’s joined by none other than Wonyeong Seol. While he bangs the door trying to figure out whether two of his students were inside, Cho-Eun gets closer to finally giving in to her stomach’s wishes. He looks at her and panics, realizing she is about to vomit. In a chaotic scene, Wonyeong tries to stop Cho-Eun from throwing up on him. He instructs her to kneel on the ground and grabs her hair just in time for her to ‘let ‘er rip’.
Wonyeong and Cho-Eun Create Rumours
Later, Cho-Eun (wearing a clean staff shirt) profusely apologizes to him. Having sent her clothes for cleaning, Wonyeong turns to leave. Cho-Eun, falling over while trying to stop him, requests his phone number to repay him for his help. “It’s hard work to be kind, after all,” she says earnestly. Her words briefly led him to think about the public opinion of him. Everyone around him had always assumed that with his looks, he had no reason to work and always had it easy.
Cho-Eun sneezes and snaps him back to reality. He takes off his jacket to prevent getting a cold, creating a new topic for students to gossip about. They call Wonyeong a philanderer, loud enough for both him and Cho-Eun to hear. When Wonyeong tells her that there was no need for instructions anymore, she grabs his face and tells him that she wasn’t listening to them. “I want you to tell me about yourself!” she says. However, in the middle of her profound assertion, someone calls out her name. At that moment, Cho-Eun realizes that she hadn’t informed Byeongmok, her student rep, about her whereabouts. My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 13 concludes as she hurriedly dashes away, leaving Wonyeong dazed and confused.
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 14: Miro and Seok-Ho Drop the Act

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 14 begins as Byeongmok, instead of outright reprimanding Cho-Eun, starts passive-aggressively ignoring her. While Cho-Eun unsuccessfully attempts to talk to him, Seok-Ho brings her a group shirt (you can imagine her excitement). Subsequently, noticing her new outfit, Seok-Ho and Miro question her about the jacket she’s wearing (Wonyeong’s donation). Unsure of whether to call him a friend or a stranger, Cho-Eun refers to Wonyeong as her ‘savior’ and swears to repay him.
After a day of activity, Cho-Eun sits in a room with all the girls at night. The group, while playing drinking games, begins to feel like they’d all been friends forever. And, due to the training she’d undertaken with her bodyguards (yes, that’s right; she trained for drinking games), she wins each game. Afterwards, all the girls drunkenly lay on the floor as only Cho-Eun and Ji-Eun (both international studies majors) remain sitting. As they try to force Ji-Eun to drink one more glass, Cho-Eun arrives to her rescue and volunteers (as tribute!) to drink it for her. Ji-Eun emotionally screams “Eonni!” and jumps onto her, enveloping her in a hug.Â
Meanwhile, in the moonlit forest, Miro confronts Seok-Ho, who was, in actuality, heir of the White Tiger clan. He interrogates Seok-Ho’s intentions and asks about White Tiger’s plan. In response, Seok-Ho reveals that he’d heard a rumour that Hongsal had hired ‘a dog for their little princess’ who’d secretly shadowed her from a young age (Miro is the kid who gave Cho-Eun her first identity crisis!). He uncovers Miro’s identity as the secret bodyguard. Instead of feeling threatened or slighted, Miro begins laughing. He reveals that it was never a secret that he was Cho-Eun’s ‘personal lap dog’, concluding My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 14.Â
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 15:Â Seok-Ho Hatches a Plan

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 15 begins as Miro tells Seok-Ho to stay away from Hongsal’s granddaughter while he’s still playing nice. Seok-Ho grumpily explains that he’d be more than happy to, but Cho-Eun herself didn’t seem willing to leave her newfound friends alone. Suddenly, Ji-Eun runs into the two of them and explains that Cho-Eun had gone missing. Immediately, Miro decides to look for her and tells Seok-Ho to split up.Â
At the shore, Seok-Ho finds Cho-Eun cross-legged on the sand watching the waves in the moonlight. Seeing him approach her, she pats the sand beside her. Complying, he first takes his jacket off for her to sit on, and then relaxes next to her. Drunk out of her mind, Cho-Eun begins explaining the excitement of her first trip to him. Remembering her childhood days, she tells him how she longs to fit in. Seok-Ho, not knowing what else to do, plays along and pretends to understand the feeling.
When Cho-Eun asks about him, he dismisses the question, calling himself ‘ordinary’ (a perfectly normal student who’s heir to a prominent gangster clan). He thinks about Cho-Eun, realizing that she was heavily in denial and extremely disconnected from her reality. Telling her about his no-nonsense personality and scarred face, he explains that it would be hard for him to make friends. Cho-Eun, having none of that, starts reprimanding him for depreciating himself. “You can’t live like that, Seok-Ho,” she says, baffling him, “You’ll end up like me.”
Seok-Ho and Cho-Eun Take a Midnight Stroll
Cho-Eun pulls Seok-Ho up and explains that she’d wanted to walk barefoot on the beach. Giving him no choice, she drags him along with her. He lets her lead him, their pinky fingers linked, and makes note of her characteristic joy. He criticises her for being ignorant and foolish, since he was going to betray her anyway. Scanning the area, he realizes that they are alone. He begins to formulate a plan, deciding that if he could lure Cho-Eun into the rough seas, he could pretend to save her and catalyse the process of earning her trust.
He begins to walk into the strong currents, and Cho-Eun nervously wades after him. She calls out to him and tries to remind him of the danger. Seok-Ho begins to persuade her to follow him further and explaining that he wanted to be normal with her, and loses himself in the speech. My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 15 concludes as he doesn’t notice the giant wave behind him (that Cho-Eun was trying to warn him) until it’s too late…
