He tries to sway Artemis against Persephone’s actions, especially when he mentions having seen her with Hades.

Next, Hermes arrives at the door of Persephone’s house and offers her a lift to the underworld. The two of them appear to be in a warm friendship as they informally discuss his job. The tone shifts when Artemis enters the room and sees them. Despite Persephone’s assurances, she admits that she feels protective of her friend.

Tensions rise as Artemis confronts Persephone about her relationship with Hades and her new job in the underworld. Persephone is bewildered by Artemis’s escalating distress.
