We previously witnessed the Reincarnation High gym and history exam chaos, Gunn’s apology, and some more melon buns from Aru’s secret buddy. However, the most fascinating chapters explored Mook’s past life, the bits and pieces about his transformation from a human to a sea serpent, and how he eventually died. On the other hand, Thorny upon seeing the history teacher offering a paper to Mook believes Mook is a cheater. So, let us dive into the next chapters to find out the real culprit and what else will happen in Reincarnation High.
Refund High School Chapter 37: Class Culprit
Refund High School Chapter 37 begins with a banter between Thorny and Mook, where Thorny accuses him of misusing his powers and cheating in the exam. However, Aru Kim and Gunn are on his side.
The next scene is about discovering the culprit behind the question paper leak. The squirrel assistant comes up with some hints, and these are some of the details:
- There are footsteps of the culprit. The culprit broke in from the outside, walked across the flower garden, and climbed the wall leaving those footsteps behind!
- There was also a dirt mark from the flower garden wall that led to the faculty room.
- The culprit might have cleaned the faculty room but couldn’t clean up the wall.
The next activity is to find out who the culprit is by matching the footsteps on a printed paper. Mook’s footsteps really don’t align and finally, everyone believes that he didn’t steal the exam paper. Meanwhile, Waxy asks Mari to go to the cafeteria for an ice cream (I see a new friendship building up here) but Mari asks him first to check out the long line in class 4. Waxy goes into class to see what’s going on. After discovering what’s happening, he believes he knows the footmarks on the paper.
Refund High School Chapter 38: Mook-Gun Jumps to Save Aru
The culprit’s footprint issue now shifts towards Chiyeol and the squirrel assistant also thinks it’s him. Chiyeol displaying his arrogant attitude tears the footprint paper into two and shouts ‘I’m not the one!’ and denies all the accusations.
As soon as the black energy appears above him and we hear- ‘About the infernal spirit you’re looking for, you won’t get your revenge with just one of them-Hehe!’, “How do you know my plan? Who the heck are you?” replies Chiyeol. The spirit continues, “Who am I? I’m someone who can get you a hundred infernal spirits without breaking a sweat. Will that do for an introduction? Isn’t that what you wanted? To bring the ultimate fear to anyone who looked down on you? I could help you if you do what I say.”
The squirrel again interrupts Chiyeol and asks him to step up and compare the feet. Annoyed, Chiyeol’s face changes, and the black energy monster eventually comes out of his mouth chasing away all the students, asking for their ‘Memory’. The energy seems kind of familiar to Aru Kim. Yes! It’s the one we saw in Refund High School Chapter 6. The black energy approaches Aru and Gunn comes to help but the energy sways him away making Aru even more scared.
Hearing Aru yell, “Someone help me!” Mook also enters the scene and with his superpowers destroys the black energy. Chiyeol witnesses this and further decides to test it. Refund High School Chapter 38 ends with the black energy saying, “I was going to save this, but you leave me no choice!”
Refund High School Chapter 39: Chiyeol Will Never Learn
Refund High School Chapter 39 continues the fight between Chiyeol and Mook. Now it’s four infernal spirits versus Mook. He tries his best, using all his powers but still can’t defeat them. On the other hand, there is preparation going on for the next event by the senior students. As the senior students were coming down to discuss the distribution of the t-shirts and other behind-the-scenes. The morning assembly was also about to start, but, seeing the empty hall they assumed something was going on.
Watching this, Fairy Kim uses her special tactics and binds the spirits into long ribbons in no time. The teachers finally understand that Chiyeol will never improve his habits so they will now have to change and increase his punishment.
Refund High School Chapter 40: What Happens to Chiyeol?
In Refund High School Chapter 40, we see Chiyeol tied with chains around his hands. However, he still thinks he’s way stronger than this, so he breaks open the chains to show his power. The history teacher says that Chiyeol still has the infernal spirit. The music teacher loses his control, brings out his superpowers, and boxes Chiyeol in an ice cube. Chiyeol is finally quiet but smirks at his replica as he walks by the hallway.
On the other hand, Aru takes Gunn to the nurse and Thorny finally apologizes to Mook. The ethics teacher enters the nurses’s room to check up on Chirpy who was also injured. But, poor Chirpy can’t remember anything as the infernal spirits took away a part of his memory. Seeing Aru’s care towards himself, Gunn finally realizes that he should mend things. However, Aru is hurt by Gunn’s behavior and ignorance and decides to break up with him.
In the next scene, Chiyeol is tied up on a chair and is being investigated by the teachers. However, he being the flag bearer of arrogance, refuses to even utter a word about how he got the infernal spirits. Getting angry and annoyed, King Yemma gives him two choices:
A) To go to the juvenile detention center. He refuses this one.
B) To be expelled from Reincarnation High School.
Accepting the second offer, Chiyeol says, “I would rather go to hell than stay at this crummy school! You have underestimated me; I have something even stronger on my side!”
Refund High School Chapter 41: Chiyeol In Hell
Refund High School Chapter 41 begins with the end of Ciyeol. A huge deep pit cracks the ground beneath Chiyeol and he falls into it. After this drastic incident, everyone among the teachers has a weird feeling but King Yemma brushes it off by saying it’s a mess here and asks them to clean it later. The teachers felt that it was the only thing needed at this point. They further decided to hold an emergency meeting but the history teacher said, ”I need to get home early tonight!”
Mook enters his room and sees the teacher standing there with a plate of fresh food. He explains, “A special meal for the hero of the day!”
Reincarnation High Race
The next day in the class, the students are discussing the Chiyeol incident. The history teacher enters and says, “He’s been expelled from the school!” People then raise the topic of the infernal spirits and how the school administration tackles the situation. Then the student president enters and explains the following ideas:
- Within the next week, we plan on strengthening the entry and exit system for the safety of the students.
- Performing regular safety evaluations and planning for emergencies.
- The track meet will take place under the tightest security.
One thing about the scene I liked besides the rules was the student president! I mean the creator has put effort into creating the character’s structure and persona. Rugged black clothes, mid-partition hair, and the prettiest smile. I think he will be the male comparison of King Yemma’s beauty for me! The next good news is everyone on the winning team will also receive a random lucky prize.
The students are discussing being on the planning committee to discuss the track meet. Sehui and Gunn are already selected. But the only difference is Sehui actually raised her hand, and Gunn did too, but because he was yawning. For the infernal relay, the selected participants are Gunn, Aru, and Medusa. Sehui and Gunn now head towards preparing for the committee. Refund High School Chapter 41 ends with Gunn wondering if he and Aru will ever be friends again.

The chapters mentioned above are written and illustrated really well. These chapters cover everything, from games and activities to entertainment and philosophical aspects.
