My Lucky Strike Chapter 62: The Games We Play

Mijeol and Siru
Mijeol and Siru

My Lucky Strike Chapter 62 begins with Cheong walking away in silence after his uncomfortable interaction with Jiho. He looks sad and seems distracted until he runs into Siru in the corridor. She casually asks if he’s headed to the restroom. He simply places a hand on her shoulder, nods, and turns away without saying much. Siru watches him leave, baffled by the exchange but sensing something heavy on his mind.

At the same time, in another corner of the world, the younger sister of Cheong, Mijeol, is having her own emotional day. She tells their mother she’s bored and wants to return to Korea. Her mother, who is busy with work, barely acknowledges her, insisting she can’t return yet. A man enters the room, and the mother greets him warmly. She introduces Mijeol to him, and the two share a smile. The girl feels like a background character in her own family.

Later, while driving back, Mijeol silently looks out of the window and wonders what her role is in this life. She then voices it out loud, saying she feels like someone who only exists to be looked at by men. Her cold and practical mother responds that it is good to be adored, it will open doors for her in life. But Mijeol does not believe it, even for a second. She sarcastically asks her mother if those doors are the ones she did not walk through.

Bruised Hearts

Then, she quietly mentions that there are two men in the world who do not adore her. Her late father and her brother, Cheong. The conversation quickly takes a dark turn. Her mother becomes tense and snaps at her for bringing up her late father out of nowhere. Mijeol accuses her mother of being jealous that her father left her for another woman. Slap.

She is silenced with a blow to her face. The mother, visibly upset yet trying to keep herself together, gives her a credit card and leaves her at a salon. She asks her to fix her hair. She warns that she has someone who is keeping an eye on her. And she would ask Cheong to visit her once she is back in Korea in a few days. Mijeol’s mood changes in an instant. She smiles sweetly, despite the bruise on her cheek, and says, “I love you, Mom.”

Back in Korea, Siru is desperately trying to find Gukhwa. She is obviously stressed, frustrated, and anxious. She mutters that he is not at home either and wonders where he could be. All of a sudden, she senses a presence nearby–someone is watching her. From the shadows, a mysterious voice emerges, claiming that Siru is not the only one looking for Gukhwa. They decide to follow Siru without any further explanation.

A while later, while grabbing a drink at a vending machine, Siru bumps into Bang-A. Awkward tension hangs in the air. Siru, trying to keep things civil, asks if Bang-a has seen Gukhwa. To her utter surprise, Bang-A says yes and provides her with the location.

At last, Siru arrives at a noisy and crowded gaming center. And there he is–Gukhwa–completely relaxed, sitting in front of a screen and playing video games with another girl. Siru simply stands, with a heavy blank expression on her face. She’s clearly overwhelmed with a mix of emotions: disbelief, irritation, and disappointment. While everyone else has been worried and searching for him, Gukhwa has been hiding away, gaming like nothing is wrong.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 62 ends with Siru standing behind Gukhwa in the arcade, the colorful lights flashing around her as her thoughts spiral. The confrontation is inevitable nowand the emotional stakes are higher than ever.

What’s Next in My Lucky Strike?

In the following chapters of My Lucky Strike, emotions will run high as unresolved tensions bubble to the surface. Cheong’s return to Korea is bringing new confrontations, especially with his complicated family dynamics and lingering feelings for Siru. In the meantime, Siru is bound to question Gukhwa’s strange behavior and growing detachment.

Jiho’s jealousy is bound to grow more, especially after witnessing Siru and Cheong’s closeness. With friendships tested and emotions tangled, expect deeper character growth, shifting dynamics, and surprises that could change everything. The love triangle is definitely heating up. And no one can guarantee that their heart will survive what is coming next.
