Jabin comes in to find Gyeongdan suspiciously standing in the way of the door. He snaps and says, “Mind your business“. She asks if he has done something wrong and leaves to go to the shower.
Once Jabin’s occupied, Siru slips out from the door Gyeongdan kept shut. He gives her some food to carry. Over the phone, she kindly reminds her brother that he should not run around giving people money. She will sort things out as an adult. Hurt Gyeongdan says, “I was only trying to help, but you did not take it.” Siru runs into Mr. Hwang on her way out, and he casually gives her an envelope and smiles. She feels a sudden warmth—so this is what having a dad might feel like.
