I Love Yoo Chapter 3: Unraveling Secrets

In I Love Yoo Chapter 3, Maya introduces Shin-Ae to new people at the party. Nevertheless, she remains uncomfortable and uninterested in making some new connections. Later, she unexpectedly bumps into Yeong-Gi, the guy whose suit was ruined by her. In the same part, she will come across Kousuke Hirahara, who will also find her interesting.

Later in the school, Maya once again gets into a conversation with Yeong-Gi. They share a light-hearted banter, and his charm begins to break through Shin-Ae’s defences. I Love Yoo Chapter 5 ends with him giving Shin-Ae his phone number, leaving her puzzled but intrigued by this unexpected friendship. As she heads home, she wonders if keeping people at a distance is worth it.

Chapter 6: A Night to Remember

At the beginning of I Love Yoo Chapter 6, Shin-Ae is debating about her life around Yeong-Gi. She feels conflicted, as she’s still firm in her belief that relationships bring unnecessary complications. Moreover, Shin-Ae follows a daily routine of avoiding people. While heading home, busy with her thoughts, she unexpectedly hits Kousuke Hirahara, and they start their conversation.

It becomes tense and clear that Kousuke sees her as an inconvenience. Shin-Ae’s internal struggle with maintaining her emotional distance versus opening up to new connections takes centre stage, further developing her relationship with the brothers.

I Love Yoo Chapter 7: Tides of Change

In I Love Yoo Chapter 7, Shin-Ae gets a surprise text from Yeong-gi asking her to play again. She is unsure and contemplates about their differences. When they meet, he is typically cheerful, which makes her uncomfortable. As they spend more time together, he continues to break down her emotional barriers with his carefree attitude and sense of humour. Despite her reticence, she enjoys his company, though she doesn’t quite admit it herself. They play pranks, and Yeong-gi’s friendliness makes her feel more comfortable.

At the beginning of I Love Yoo Chapter 8, Shin-Ae reluctantly agrees to meet Yeong-gi again for lunch. The interaction is light and is accompanied by Yeong-gi’s typical playful banter. She is still a bit guarded, but she enjoys Yeong-gi’s company more and more, even though she’ll never admit it. He seems to have an uncanny ability to make her laugh and lighten her mood, which is a new territory for her.

During lunch, Shin-Ae realizes that Yeong-gi wants to learn more about her, not just in general but in a deeper, more personal way. This makes her uncomfortable because she still isn’t ready to open up to anyone. Feeling uncomfortable, Yeong-gi doesn’t push him hard, but he’s friendly and honest in trying to get to know her better.
