In this article, we’ll be dealing with Down to Earth Chapter 218! In the previous chapters, Zay and Kade had a surprise visit from his mother, causing a lot of panic since Zay still had her horns. However, luckily, her horns fell out at the right moment and she is finally free! In the previous chapter, the couple had gone out in order to enjoy Zay’s freedom and talked about issues they both had faced while she was on lockdown. Down to Earth Chapter 218: Interrupted!
In Down to Earth Chapter 218, Zay and Kade are by the beach, Kade reminding him how happy he is because of her. Snuggling close to him, she says she’s happy if he is. Assuring him, she says she’ll feel way better once she can control her abilities. Clasping hands and staring into the sunset, he says he’ll do his best to help, making her smile and say she just heard how happy he is. Turning red, he says he should try and control his thoughts around her at which she turns around, promising she would never judge. They watch each other, lost in the moment, and Zay says she can hear him thinking about ending the wait.
Kade says he doesn’t want to wait but is not sure if taking the next step is safe for them. Zay interjects that, saying she can hear him thinking of kissing her, making him blush hard and avert his eyes. As she gets closer to him, he says kissing often would defeat the purpose of the wait. Eyes glowing, she says they can kiss just once more and he gives in. Just as they kiss, Kade’s phone vibrates from a call and they break off, him apologizing.
Kade glares at the call from Stace and, picking it up, says, “I hate you”. Shocked, Stace asks if that’s how he greets everyone. He asks Kade to come by tomorrow for a small meeting and he agrees. Suzy shouts from the back that she misses him and the call ends with Stace saying they’ll see him tomorrow. Getting up, Kade holds a hand out to Zay, asking if she’s ready to go back home. Pouting, she asks if they must already and suggests something else.
An Unexpected Meet
The two head to the grocery store and Zay is gleaming at all the things. Kade, smiling, understands she hated being holed up for so long. She suggests checking out the games section and as they two head over there, they see Cherri. Stopping, Kade offers to help her with the huge grocery bag she’s struggling with. She accepts his help and says she didn’t expect to see them here. Zay asks if she’s alright and Cherri, with a dead serious face, says she feels great. The other girl notes that she looks tired and sleepy, earning a nudge from Kade, and quickly apologizes. Assuring she’s fine, she says she’s just not used to shopping alone. Down to Earth Chapter 218 ends with Cherri’s eyes tearing up as she says Cannon does not talk to her anymore.
What Happened So Far?
Lately in Down to Earth, Kade resolves his issues with Cherri, finally opening up to her, and heeding Zay’s and Dustin’s advice. However, that causes a clash between Cherri and Cannon, resulting in a strain in their relationship. As Kade worries about her, he also thinks of Zaida, house arrested because of her horns. A panic ensues when Kade’s mother unexpectedly pops up at his home when he’s away. Zay, hearing her come in, rushes to the bedroom and locks herself. He reaches just in time to delay his mother but cannot stop her as she pries her way into the room. Seeing Zay horn-less, he is immensely happy and, shooing his mother is filled in on what happened.
Kade’s mother interrupts them, gifting Zay a beautiful locket she immediately loves, and leaves the two. Happy she’s free again, Zay suggests a day out and the couple go for a date. Outside at a restaurant, Zay is frustrated at her powers and being unable to control them. He suggests going someplace secluded and the two head off to a beach. There, she sees a couple and asks him yet again if she is sure he doesn’t want to settle with a human girl. Downcast, she notes that she feels more like a burden, at which Kade hugs her tight, reminding her she makes him happier than anything else.
