In Down to Earth Chapter 145-154, Kade and Zay talk things out and come to a conclusion about their relationship. They end up in a very embarrassing situation with a drunk and passed out Stace who decides to dump his life and truths on the two. Down to Earth Chapter 145: Stace’s Unknown Motives
In Down to Earth Chapter 145, Kade confused, takes a break and recalls the last time he and Stace talked (Down to Earth Chapter 109). Thoughts about Stace’s motives swarm in his head till he thinks of Zay and he feels overwhelmed. At home, she also feels overwhelmed. However, she thinks she’s happy as long as she’s free, unlike Zodia. Suddenly her phone pings and Zay, thinking its Suzy, doesn’t check it and goes off to feed Cosmo.
At work, Kade is annoyed by Stace being overly nice, and, thinking two can play at that, he goes over to Stace. He says they should go for a movie again sometime, surprising Stace. Kade reminds him of how he wanted to hang out more and Stace, getting the game, agrees. Meanwhile, Zay gets more and more anxious, waiting for Kade and wondering if he still wants to be with Delilah. At that her phone pings again and she checks it to find messages from Delilah. Down to Earth Chapter 145 ends with Zay panicking and wondering if she heard her.
Chapter 146: The Wait
Following Down to Earth Chapter 145, Chapter 146 opens with Kade returning, earlier than usual, confused as to why Stace let him off early. Zay makes tea and the two sit on the couch. Kade breaks the awkward silence by suggesting they talk about it. Anxious and hesitant, she asks if he still has feelings for Delilah. Not expecting that question, he is surprised and says he doesn’t but he cannot let go of the past yet. He explains to her how his and Delilah’s past is like Zay and Zodia’s. He assures her he has no feelings for Delilah anymore and is confident about being happy without her.
Blushing hard, he then apologizes for their skyline moment at which Zay says she feels like she had pressurized him. He laughs at that and admits if it were up to him he would repeat yesterday over and over again. He stops suddenly, realizing what he just said and Zay screams internally. Finally, she asks if they are dating now and Kade, hating to say it, explains he’s not in the right mindset and that he has a lot he needs to work on.
Holding her hand, he says he wants their relationship to be genuine, and only when he has completely let go of his past. He begs her to believe him when he says he wants to be with her, but, he’s taking it slow so as not to lose someone so special to him. Bringing her hand to his lips, he says how, if Zay would wait for him, he’d be the happiest man. Once inside the bedroom, Zay thinks to herself how, during the wait, she could learn to be a good partner to Kade, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 146.
Down to Earth Chapter 147: A Good Partner
In Down to Earth Chapter 147, Zay researches and studies the whole day, and once done, waits for Kade’s return. Kade returns and Zay is surprised he’s back so early. He matches her surprise and wonders what’s up with Stace. She fetches two outfits and asks which one he likes more, he picks one and she flies off. Kade, confused, looks to Cosmo for help. She returns in the dress he chose and robotically says, “I respect your choices”. Kade, as confused as ever, asks if she’s comfortable wearing that and she says she’s fine, calling him sweet for worrying. Blushing, he asks her out for Sushi.
The two are having sushi at the Japanese restaurant, and Kade offers Zay sushi from his plate. Finding it too spicy, she asks what he likes about it and Kade says he loves spice. At that she says, “I am listening to you”, making Kade say she’s acting odd again. Blushing, he then says the wait is killing him and kisses his chopsticks. He is passing it to her, when Stace appears, breaking their moment and concluding Down to Earth Chapter 147.
Chapter 148: Uninvited Guest
Down to Earth Chapter 148 opens with Stace joining the two. He claps Kade on the back and says he wants them to hang out more often, making him regret it all. The waitress comes to get Stace’s order and, after ordering food, he orders a margarita for everyone, making Kade choke on his drink. He quickly asks the waitress to cancel his and her margarita. Once the waitress is gone, Stace, annoyed, asks Zay if she let him dictate her life. He reminds him they’ve got work tomorrow but Stace waves him off and wants to let loose.
After 14 margaritas, Kade suggests he should stop and Stace waves him off, asking Zay how she deals with such a ‘debby-downer’. She wonders why Stace is acting like a different person. Suddenly, he thuds onto the table, fast asleep.
Zay and Kade drag an unconscious Stace into their home and sit him on the couch. She asks what type of drink makes a person change his personality and Kade asks if she doesn’t have alcohol on her planet. Kade then sees a perfect opportunity to get to know Stace’s motives and asks her to read his mind. He persuades her when she’s reluctant and she agrees. She apologizes to Stace and leans in when Stace suddenly wakes up, repeating whatever he hears about telepathy and the home planet. She shrieks and jumps back. Down to Earth Chapter 148 ends with Stace, angry, asking what’s going on.
Down to Earth Chapter 149: Truth Time
In Down to Earth Chapter 149, Stace sits up and asks if Zay is a monster, and then he sees her floating and jumps onto his feet. However, the moment he does so, he feels woozy and passes out again. She panics and asks what they should do and he assures her he won’t remember any of this tomorrow. He then asks her to help him put Stace to his side in case he pukes. Just then Stace calls out to Zaida and asks what’s the deal with her and Kade. He cries about how it’s unfair that the only person he finds interesting is taken.
Feeling confident, Stace unleashes his life onto them, how he’s never made friends, let alone a girlfriend,d and yells about never even kissing a girl and still being a virgin. As he cries his heart out, Zay and Kade listen in stunned silence. He says it’s like the two of them don’t want him around at all and Zay, apologizing, asks if he wants something to eat. Sniffing, he says, “Yes please”.
As he eats, Zay asks him to rest well while Kade mocks him. Stace yells at that and says it’s a good thing they aren’t friends. At that Kade yells back he brought him into his house and Zay asks him to calm down. He then talks about how Zay and Kade act so weirdly. He says he knows their secrets and that they should be careful. Down to Earth Chapter 149 ends with him warning the two he could expose them.
Chapter 150: Hangover
Down to Earth Chapter 150 starts with Stace accusing the two of being undercover cops, shocking them into silence yet again. He goes about how they are out to get him for his unpaid parking tickets and for littering while driving. She tentatively asks if he remembers anything weird that happened before and Stace says, “Yeah, why are you guys in my house?!”. He takes her to the bedroom and asks her to get some rest while he watches over Stace.
Stace groggily wakes up and asks Kade the time. Upon learning it’s 4 am he jumps up, just to get a massive migraine. He gives him water and a hangover pill. Having it, Stace asks what happened and he asks what he remembers. At that, he says he only remembers joining him and Zaida for dinner. Kade gets up and offers Stace a ride home when the other asks if Zaida’s home. He pauses before saying No and Stace apologizes but reminds him this changes nothing and that they are still rivals. In the bedroom, she tosses and turns in her sleep, her whole body glowing a bright green, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 150.
Down to Earth Chapter 151: Lingering Nightmares
Down to Earth Chapter 151 opens with Zay having a nightmare of Zodia and jolting up, sweating, and panting. With a star,t she realizes she had a shoot and looks over her table to find a letter. In it, Kade wrote that she was too warm and that he called Stace saying she was sick. He asks her to take a lot of rest and call him if she needs him.
Zay gets out of bed and as she goes to take a bath, gets an awful headache. She goes about her day, feeling dull and listless, thinking of her dream over and over again. Zodians looming before her and reaching out for her. She hears the front door open and flies into Kade, hugging him tight. Kade, surprised asks if she is okay and she complains he took forever to return. He says it’s his usual time and Zay tells him she just missed him a lot. Down to Earth Chapter 151 ends with Kade touching Zay’s forehead and asking if she’s sick.
Chapter 152: Experiments
In Down to Earth Chapter 152, Zay hesitates before saying, “I am feeling like a peach!”. Kade, not buying it, takes her inside and puts a thermometer in her mouth. Her temperature shows 210.8 Degrees Celsius and Kade panics. He tells her if his temperature was that he would die. He then decides to note down Zay’s temperature every day while she assures him she’s fine and he shouldn’t worry much. At that Kade says he will and that he doesn’t want to lose her, gently cupping her cheek. He then begins a series of tests to see how different they are.
Kade writes a couple of things in a sticky note and, sticking it on the wall of the hall, he asks Zay to read from the bedroom. Zay reads it with ease and Kade notes down ‘ridiculously good eyesight’. He then tests her strength, which is average, and her reflexes by throwing a pillow at her. It hits her square in the face and she cries about why Kade would do that. He then reaches a hand out to pat her head and she flinches back. Kade, worried, asks her what’s going on, but she is saved by a phone call. Down to Earth Chapter 152 ends with Kade surprised Delilah’s calling her.
Down to Earth Chapter 153: Befriending Delilah
In Down to Earth Chapter 153, Kade asks if the two are pretty close and Zay hurriedly explains Delilah wanted to exchange numbers and that she didn’t want to say no. Kade reminds her she need not explain herself and tells her to call Delilah back. She thanks him and goes off into the bedroom. Inside, Delilah picks up and asks if she is bothering her by texting. Zay quickly says no and apologizes for being too busy to text back. Delilah then thanks her for turning down the make-up agency’s offer and tells her they offered a new proposal. She says it’s really rare to find people like her and asks if they can hang out and possibly be friends.
Zay comes out of the room and Kade asks how it went. She tells him she and Delilah will go shopping the next day after her photoshoot and asks if that’s fine. Kade tells her to just be careful around Delilah. Before departing for bed, Kade makes Zay promise him that she’s fine. As she promises, Kade worriedly recalls the night he saw her glowing bright green while Stace was passed out.
The next day Kade asks Zay to hurry up since they are both running late. She comes out, wearing a cap and a mask and he asks her what’s up. She says she just dressed warm and Kade, not wanting to push it, says let’s get work over it. Kade worries about the whole situation at work when Stace approaches him and demands they talk, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 153.
Chapter 154: Kade Gets The Upper-hand
In Down to Earth Chapter 154, Stace and Kade have lunch at the canteen. As he eats, Stace watches him closely, saying they both know what happened. Kade acts clueless, trying to cover his worry and Stace asks if he’ll make him say it out loud. Kade says a lot of embarrassing stuff had happened and, suddenly recalling, asks Stace if it’s about his virginity. Before Kade can say the word Stace shushes him, jumps from his seat, and screams when Kade says the word. He smirks at having the upper hand and taunts Stace repeatedly, torturing him. Dying for humiliation, he begs him to stop and that he will be nicer to him.
The next scene shows Zay, done with her photoshoot when Cherri invites her to lunch. She is surprised to find out she will be going out with Delilah and, when Zay invites her to join, says she doesn’t wanna be a bother. Just then Delilah comes and Zay says goodbye to Cherri. Down to Earth Chapter 154 ends with Cherri worriedly watching the two go.
