Baby Tyrant has captivated readers with its sweet message about family and love. Although the manwha is an adorable read, it’s not all fluff. Baby Tyrant sheds light on pressing topics surrounding Mabel and her family. Let’s take a closer look at Baby Tyrant Chapter 72-79.
Previously in Baby Tyrant, Mabel (reincarnated with all her past life’s memories and intelligence intact) employs Frantz, her supposed-to-be teacher, as the accountant of her intelligence guild, Evil. With the ultimate motive of overthrowing the Devlin Empire, she frequently plans schemes with her personal guard, Aidan (also ‘Ethan’, the guildmaster of Evil). She has a long-standing rivalry with the terrible and malicious Duke Javier. The Duke, who frequently beats and mistreats his son, is always ready to pay any price to ensure his victory. After laying financial ruin to Duke Javier, Mabel single-handedly gets him imprisoned as well. After Enrique testifies against his cruel father, Duke Javier is sentenced to house arrest by Estevan. At the end of chapter 71, Estevan attacks Mabel, thinking an enemy has sneaked in.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 72: Mabel Learns Of Moonstones
Baby Tyrant Chapter 72 begins with Mabel attending another lesson with the Holy Emperor Abelardo (she was required to take these classes to repay a debt). The Emperor notices all of her fresh bandages and heals her injuries with his own God-given powers (much like Mabel’s abilities). He warns her to be careful since she can’t heal herself.
Unable to determine the purpose of the white rock she previously obtained, Mabel decides to ask the Emperor. She asks him if the ore is another divine artefact, like the smooth stone Abelardo sent her long ago. He tells her that the rock is a core of the Trees of Genesis – the rarely found trees created by God- and is called a moonstone. Abelardo further informs Mabel that someone was deliberately destroying all the cores, wreaking havoc on the delicate balance of nature.
Driven by this new information, Mabel stands up and asks, “What can I do to stop the apocalypse from happening?” Abelardo tells her to protect the cores. Only individuals like him and Mabel can identify them as the moonstones resonate with divine power. Mabel wonders if Duke Javier is involved in the drought situation.
Meanwhile, at the Javier manor, Duke Javier takes out a glass ball from his desk drawer. Through it, he is able to communicate with Veron Devlica, Ruler of the Devlin Empire. Duke Javier had been smuggling moonstones, which are only found in Ermaneau, to Veron Devlica. Baby Tyrant Chapter 72 concludes with Duke Javier plotting something evil in his mind, asking Devlin’s help.
Chapter 73: Estevan’s Illusion Herbs
Baby Tyrant Chapter 73 begins as Mabel and Oscar go on a picnic. Increasingly worried about her reclusive father, she asks her brother about what is going on. She muses over the night Estevan attacked her and recalls that he mistook her for her mother, Sianna. Oscar remembers her as a kind woman who loved and cared for him, although they weren’t biologically related. And although never cared before, Mabel suddenly desires to understand her birth mother.
Later, Estevan tells Lisandro that Sianna’s memory was starting to fade in his mind. Desperate to see her, Estevan had resorted to illusion herbs, which were the reason behind his disoriented state when he attacked Mabel. Listening from outside his bedroom, Mabel understands the entire situation. She slowly opens the door to Estevan’s room and crawls into his lap. Baby Tyrant Chapter 73 concludes as Mabel requests her father to sleep beside her tonight.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 74: Mabel Quiets Estevan’s Grief
Baby Tyrant Chapter 74 begins as Mabel studies Estevan’s empty bedroom and regrets denying Estevan’s previous sleepover requests.
In bed, Estevan grants Mabel two wishes to make up for his mistake. For her first wish, she requests her father to reverse an old rule prohibiting the entry of young boys into the palace. “I wanna play with Enrique!” she says. Although he’s unhappy about Mabel’s desire to meet Enrique, he agrees to her request.
Mabel asks Estevan about Sianna. Out of his grief, Estevan calls Sianna heartless for making him fall in love with her and then leaving him alone. He describes the first time he saw Sianna. She had crawled out of a rosebush with leaves in her cherry-pink hair. At first sight, Estevan had fallen in love with her. Mabel asks Estevan if he misses Sianna and tells him that although she misses her mother, she’s never alone because of him and Oscar. Estevan smiles and replies with the same.
Mabel asks Estevan if he loves her more than Sianna. Estevan apologizes to Sianna in his mind and says, “Of course, I love my adorable daughter a little bit more.” Baby Tyrant Chapter 74 concludes as Estevan drifts off to sleep and hears Sianna’s voice say, ‘You did well, Evan.’
Chapter 75: Oscar Is Knighted
Baby Tyrant Chapter 75 begins with a skip in the timeline, as Mabel is now nine years old. The chapter starts on the day of the long-awaited knighting ceremony. This year is special because Prince Oscar, who is now fourteen years old, will be knighted. For the same reason, compared to recent years, a large number of nobles attend the event.
Although in previous years Estevan performed the duty of knighting Ermaneau’s defenders, Mabel had taken up the responsibility from this year. Overlooking the ceremony, however, Mabel regrets her decision and is bored by the long procedure. Watching the gossiping nobility, Mabel makes a comment about Oscar’s growing popularity to Lisandro. Lisandro cites the twin factors of Oscar being the youngest of all knights and his growing popularity in high society as the reasons. He tells Mabel of ‘Ermaneau’s elite four’ consisting of Enrique, Aidan, Oscar, and Mabel herself.
Finally, the oaths begin, and one by one, Mabel knights all the men. The last to be knighted is Oscar, who, kneeling in front of Mabel, leaves out an important part of the knights’ oath, mentioning the God Ades. The nobility are surprised he made the vow solely on his honor. ‘I’d expect nothing less of Oscar,’ Mabel thinks and dubs him a knight. Baby Tyrant Chapter 75 concludes with Mabel, Oscar, and Estevan heading out for a picnic in hooded black robes.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 76: A Royal Outing
Baby Tyrant Chapter 76 begins as Mabel, Oscar, and Estevan sit down for a family lunch. Estevan praises Oscar for leaving out the God Ades in his oath. He asks Mabel about Aidan’s whereabouts, whom she sent to spy on the dangerous Devlin Empire. She lies that Aidan was out fetching street desserts for her and upsets the poor royal chef. Mabel quickly adds that he loves the royal chef’s food (he’s touched) and simply wants to taste street food. Upset that Mabel had been kept in the shadows about Ermaneau’s streets, Estevan declares an impromptu family outing.
In the city square, Mabel begins to enjoy her leisure time. She stops to admire a journal, and Estevan, noticing her, decides to buy the shopkeeper’s entire collection. Embarassed, Mabel steps back and bumps into a passerby. Immediately, Oscar draws his sword at the poor man for coming into contact with Mabel.
She sits with them on a bench and reprimands them for behaving foolishly. Tired and exhausted (primarily because of her family), she decides it’s time to return home. Suddenly, Mabel hears two men loudly discussing their political views. As they criticise the absurdity of putting a baby on the throne, Mabel watches in euphoric joy. ‘So, there are people with common sense in this world!’ she thinks, gleefully. She barely manages to prevent Oscar and Estevan from attacking the men, when suddenly a crash is heard. A hooded figure holds the dissenter by his throat. Baby Tyrant Chapter 76 ends as Mabel recognizes the silhouette and thinks, ‘Aidan?!’
Chapter 77: Oscar Is Suspicious
Baby Tyrant Chapter 77 begins as Aidan abruptly leaves Casey to strangle the dissenter. Suddenly, Estevan looms over Aidan, surprising him. Casey watches closely and hears Estevan call his master Aidan, whom he only knows as ‘Ethan’. Peeking out from behind her father, Mabel urgently signals Aidan to go away. As Estevan moves to block Aidan’s exit, Mabel tries to de-escalate the situation. But when Casey calls Aidan ‘master’ in front of Estevan, she can only resort to one old tactic. Mabel holds her head and begins crying about a throbbing headache. Forgetting every other concern, her father and brothers rush towards home.
Aidan watches them leave, realizing that Mabel’s acting was getting better. He warns Casey not to investigate Mabel, but because of Casey’s growing desire to discern his master’s real identity, the warning is futile. As the royal carriage travels to the palace, one of Casey’s men tails it. Suddenly, Oscar appears behind him with his sword at the man’s neck. The man, having no choice, reveals that he works for Evil. He cleverly tells Oscar to place a request with the organization for further information. Baby Tyrant Chapter 77 concludes as Oscar suspiciously watches the man leave.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 78: Devlica Seeks Revenge
Baby Tyrant Chapter 78 begins as Casey, angered at his man for running away from Mabel’s carriage, hungers for information on Aidan and the true master of Evil. Meanwhile, Aidan and Mabel apologize to each other for the city square fiasco. He tells her of what he learnt from his trip to Devlin. He confirms that Veron Devlica’s palace is more active than usual. In the past four years, Mabel had learnt Veron’s two objectives of revenge on Estevan and gaining immortality (according to Mabel, a pathetic reason to wreak havoc). In the same period, Evil had grown into the greatest guild on the continent.
Aidan also gives Mabel a list of nobles Duke Javier invited to his mansion. Aidan explains that the Duke was looking for help to reestablish his position in society. She decides to go after every name on the list. Afterwards, Aidan gives Mabel his hand and insists that she go to sleep.
Later, a Devlin spy gives Veron Devlica his intel on Evil. Devlica tells him to bribe the gullible members of the guild, starting with Casey. Baby Tyrant Chapter 78 concludes as Devlica says (meant for Aidan), “You will learn firsthand what it feels like to be betrayed by your right-hand man!”
Chapter 79: Mabel Has Tea with Emili Javier
Baby Tyrant Chapter 79 begins as Madame Rufey combs Mabel’s hair and tells her of the disquiet among the nobility. Madame Rufey tells Mabel not to worry about such things, causing Mabel to smile. The reputation of two nobles, who secretly supported Duke Javier, had been ruined… because of her.
She receives a letter from the Holy Emperor of Abelardo, Mabel’s new pen pal. Due to Estevan’s rule, the Abelardo priest who taught her had to be changed every six months. Before he left, Mabel struck a deal with the Emperor to obtain moonstones in Ermaneau and send them to the Abelardo Empire for storage and purification. Before she can read the letter, she has leave to end a tea party with Emili Javier.
After Duke Javier’s sentence, many of his allies were angered and demanded lenience. Those nobles continuously meddled with Enrique, acting head of the House of Javier. To keep them at bay, Mabel decided to continue to meet with Emili, ensuring the preservation of the Javier reputation. Not only that, Mabel had grown fond of her, too.
Ermaneau’s Swordsmanship Tournament
In conversation, Emili brings up the upcoming swordsmanship tournament, where the empire’s young knights showcase their skills. Emili informs Mabel that the tournament winner is granted one wish by the Emperor, shocking her with the news. ‘Why on Earth did no one fill me in on such an important detail?!” she fumes.
As the news of Mabel’s attendance in the tournament spreads, another rumor spreads with it. Starting from a small pub, all the young competitors begin to see the tournament as a chance to win Mabel’s hand in marriage. When the information reaches Estevan, he tries his best to call off the event. Eventually, he hilariously decides to simply kill the winner of the tournament (and poor Gustaf nearly dies of anxiety). Baby Tyrant Chapter 79 ends in a thrill as Enrique, Oscar, and Aidan’s names are written on the list of tournament competitors.
