My Lucky Strike Chapter 60: When Teams Collide

My Lucky Strike Chapter 60 begins with the awkward showdown between Siru’s team (Siru, Cheong, and Gukhwa) and Bang-A’s team. As both groups realize–rather unhappily–that they’ve been assigned the same dusty old club room for their projects. Everyone freezes for a moment, sizing each other up. The tension is so thick that you can even cut it with a butter knife. Both parties attempt to justify their right to the place. But only to find out that everything was a scheduling mix-up. Reluctantly, both parties agree to share the space and set up a schedule to ensure that they would not bump into each other constantly.
When they finally step into the room, everyone starts coughing uncontrollably from all the dust in the air, which doesn’t help the already sour mood. Once the dust settles–(quite literally)–Siru and her team are able to get their timeslot and sigh in relief. But, Siru cannot help feeling a bit uneasy, deeply thinking whether this arrangement is going to work at all.
A few days later, Siru arrives in the club room only to be left alone with Cheong. Gukhwa is nowhere to be seen, and he isn’t answering his phone either. Siru and Cheong exchange worried glances, knowing how much work remains for the design contest. As Siru starts to get visibly more and more nervous, Cheong notices her fidgeting and suggests they take a break. Maybe even do something fun to blow off steam. But Siru, full of self-doubt, sighs and acknowledges, “I just… want to prove I’m worth something.”

And Tensions Spark

Cheong watches her silently. He quietly reaches out a hand to comfort her, but stops midway and quickly pulls back when the door suddenly creaks open. Jiho comes in, all casual and handsome, with a bag of snacks. He greets them warmly and asks about their progress. All he gets in return is a tense atmosphere at once. Jiho’s calm, encouraging words soothe Siru, telling her not to stress so much because she’s doing well already. To lighten the atmosphere, he pulls out a small photo album and shares an amusing story, which finally gets our Siru to laugh.
While Siru laughs, Jiho sees a loose hair that is hanging on her shoulder and, without much thinking, just gently plucks it off. But as he turns to toss it aside, he catches Cheong watching from across the room, leaning back with a piercing, judgmental stare. The air grows just a little heavier as Jiho, still smiling but a bit confused, looks at Cheong. He feels something and senses something unspoken between them. (Hmmm, Super Sus?) In the meantime, Siru appears to be blissfully unaware of the quiet rivalry unfolding right in front of her. As she enjoys Jiho’s funny story, and a quiet and rare break from her nervous mood. Cheong, though, is alert and silent, clearly not happy with how comfortable Jiho seems to be around Siru.
My Lucky Strike Chapter 60 ends with this subtle but charged standoff between Jiho and Cheong. While Siru sits in the middle, unknowingly becoming the center of this gentle tug-of-war between the two very different boys.
