Osora Chapter 48: The Lovebirds
Osora Chapter 48 begins with a horrifying flashback of Princess Catalina’s childhood when one of her guards assaulted her. After waking up from the terrifying nightmare, she walks to Princess Celia’s room in search of some comfort. Although her guards inform her that she gets annoyed if her sleep gets disturbed, they still let her in. Hoping that Celia won’t get mad at her, Catalina enters her room. She lets her know that she had a nightmare and asks if she can sleep with her tonight. Rocky takes the floor and Catalina joins Celia, and Celia wonders, “Who could say no to her?”
In the meantime, the lovebirds, Osora and Arias are lying down peacefully in the prince’s room. Being as goofy as ever, Arias asks him which night is the best for him. Although, visibly embarrassed, Osora admits tonight is his favorite. Arias hugs him and says he knows. Hiding his blushing face on the pillow, the prince replies, “I hate you.”
On one hand, Arias is unstoppable, and on the other, Osora can’t believe his partner’s audacity. The prince can’t help but wonder how he has never felt this happy in his entire life and that’s why it’s making him more anxious. He recollects how they used to be and now everything has changed. Although it’s nerve-wracking, there is still a great sense of solace in their bond. His train of thought reaches the dark tunnel and he thinks about how he needs to end things with Arias soon. He doesn’t want to put him in danger. Osora hugs Arias tightly and wonders, “Maybe it’s okay if it’s just for a little bit longer,” ending Osora Chapter 48.
What Happened So Far In Osora?
In Calaveras kingdom, Prince Osora, and his knight in shining armor, Arias are having the time of their life. (Well, not literally but at least they have each other!) After facing a near-death situation with Apollo, King Antonio asked Arias to stay in the palace until he recovered. AND welcome to the age of exploration! Arias is certain about his feelings towards Osora. However, the latter finds it difficult to believe despite his strong emotions and transparent desire. Osora can’t help but question his attraction towards Arias, especially when it is reciprocated with equal authenticity. And, as much as he loves this attention and affection, a part of him wants to resist this keeping his position and responsibilities in mind.
Princess Catalina and Princess Celia share a very interesting dynamic from the very beginning of the webtoon. On one hand, the latter is an epitome of confidence and feminine power, the former is looking for an escape from men and still questioning her sexuality. In Chapter 45, Catalina goes through the book Celia has given to her and she is awestruck by the knowledge of what two women can do behind curtains. Only time can tell how the stories of these main characters will gradually unfold.
What’s Going On In The Sergos Kingdom?
Apollo’s description of Arias made Lord Hyrus very intrigued. This leads the readers to a new character, a sibling of Lord Hyrus, Solus. The former informs his sibling that his fascination with Calaveras Kingdom is more than ever. Apparently, Arias is Maxim’s son and likely a half-breed. What’s more interesting is that he is directly involved with Osora, hinting at their romantic dynamic. Although Solus is doubtful, Hyrus is certain Arias looks uncannily like Maxim in his youth. He plans to use Arias as leverage over Osora and, likely, Maxim.
On the other hand, Mar, now a prisoner in the Sergos kingdom is missing his beloved Naya and can’t wait to go back to her. He knows the only way out is through gaining Hyrus’s trust. In order to get some information about the kingdom, he targets Sunni as she seems more gullible. He starts by complimenting his drawing skills and in response, she opens up about Arias and Osora and what Hyrus plans to do with Arias. Later, we see a sense of animosity between Apollo and Mar. He says, “Instead of trying to fish information out of Sunni, you can just ask me.”
