Meanwhile, at the count’s estate, he informs Medea (in Psyche’s body) that Eros has repaired a greenhouse for her and suggests she thank him later. She also hears rumors that Medea and Helio are lovers.

Back at Helio’s, Psyche presses him for details about Medea’s life. He hesitates, trying to deflect her questions and insist she focus on her responsibilities and avoid visiting him again. However, she reveals she has received a marriage invitation from the kingdom of Kennel, shocking Helio.

In the next scene, Medea (in Psyche’s body) stands in the newly repaired greenhouse with her maid. While the maid admires its beauty, she sees it as a fancy cage for Psyche. Later, during tea with Eros, he mentions an oracle the temple received and asks if she has any insights. She feels anxious, especially since it might be linked to her recent conversation with God. She claims ignorance, and he leaves without divulging more, leaving Medea unsettled and wanting more information.

Medea shifts her attention to a maid she had placed as a spy on Psyche. Seizing the opportunity, she devises a plan to lure the maid with jewelry, knowing her greed will be an asset for her. When the maid tries to shift blame onto Medea, believing she’s dealing with Psyche. She leans in with a chilling grin and ominously asks how many times she should forgive the maid, revealing a darker side that shocks the maid, unlike the kind Psyche would show.

Your Throne Chapter 26 opens with the maid desperately attempting to prove her innocence. However, Medea (in Psyche’s body), fully aware of the maid’s kleptomaniac tendencies, decides to dismiss her, laced with a thinly veiled threat. She promises her that she will do anything to earn back her trust.

Meanwhile, Eros stands at the front of the temple, greeted by a priest who informs him that Her Holiness is awaiting his arrival. The scene shifts to nightfall, where Medea-in-Psyche plots her escape through the window, determined to keep the maid she spared from betraying her. Seizing the moment during a lapse in security, she leaps from the balcony and makes her way outside. The chapter concludes with the introduction of another significant character, who finds himself besieged by the oracle.

Chapter 27: Another Misfortune

Outside, Medea (in Psyche’s body) relishes her freedom after fifteen long days of confinement, reflecting on the plight of Psyche, who has been trapped for fifteen years. At the bustling market, she catches snippets of people searching for someone but sighs relief upon realizing they are not looking for her.

Selling some of her jewelry, she secures a handful of coins before going to Zephyranthes, a bar in the heart of the urban district, where she assumes a false identity. Adapting to her surroundings, she speaks a different language to blend in with the crowd. While she waits for news regarding the oracle, unexpected information reaches her. Her father has arranged a marriage proposal with a neighboring kingdom, leaving her stunned.

In a parallel moment, Helio experiences a flashback, recalling how he had detailed everything about Medea to Psyche, whose anger towards Medea’s father is palpable. The scene shifts to the market, where the enigmatic red-haired character, Pell, is beloved by the villagers. In a chance encounter, Medea (in Psyche’s body) bumps into him, and Your Throne Chapter 27 concludes with Pell casting a lingering glance in her direction.

Chapter 28: Marriage With The King?

Your Throne Chapter 28 opens with Medea feeling let down by her parents and discontented with her life. She reminisces about the times her nanny urged her to run, reminding her that whether she embodies Medea or Psyche, trouble seems to follow her. Meanwhile, Pell is trailing after her but soon loses her in the chaos. Unfortunately, he is then captured by those searching for him, as mentioned in Your Throne Chapter 27. 

As Medea (in Psyche’s body) returns to the manor, her maid breathes a sigh of relief at her safe arrival. Just moments later, their luck dwindles when the nanny enters, searching for her. Medea (in Psyche’s body) seizes an opportunity to consider escaping. 

Back at the Solon mansion, preparations are underway to welcome the king of Kennel. Eros learns of Medea’s marriage to the king and reflects on his own arranged marriage with her, fully aware that she only sought him for the power he could provide. 

At the Solon mansion, a plethora of gifts has arrived, and Thesion engages in discussions with the king about wealth and land. The duke is thrilled at the prospect of acquiring such riches. Meanwhile, the maids express their sympathy for Medea, feeling that the atmosphere resembles a funeral more than a wedding. Psyche (in Medea’s body) recalls her conversation with Helio, realizing that Medea has endured her own share of suffering. Suddenly, Thesion knocks on her door, calling for Medea, which causes the maids to fret. In a quick response, Psyche (in Medea’s body) opens the balcony door, drawing surprise gasps from the maids. The duke enters only to find her standing perilously on the railings.

Your Throne Chapter 29: Fractured Fates

In Your Throne Chapter 29, Psyche-in-Medea confronts Duke Solon, threatening to jump if he gets too close. She reproaches him for turning her into an obedient puppet. Frustrated, he attempts to reason with her since she represents his path to power, but her fierce resistance takes him aback. Meanwhile, Helio seeks updates on the oracle and begins to doubt Psyche’s divine abilities. Back at the mansion, Psyche (in Medea’s body) contemplates jumping from the window. Duke Solon tries to soothe her, but she ignores him. His anger builds, and as he reaches out to catch her, she loses her balance and falls. She manages to grab onto a branch but slips, hitting the ground hard.

In that moment, Medea (in Psyche’s body) feels the impact, gasping for breath before fainting. The two quickly switch back to their original bodies, but the transition is fleeting. Injured from the fall, Psyche (in Medea’s body) tries to escape from the servants. As she runs, she catches sight of the king she is about to marry, smiling at her. The scene shifts to later that night, where a maid stands in for Psyche. Disguised as Medea, Medea-in-Psyche heads to the temple, seeking the priest who once provided her with a key to uncover more about the oracle.

Chapter 30: Disguises and Encounters

Your Throne Chapter 30 opens with Medea (in Psyche’s body) planning to visit the temple in disguise as Medea. She hands her maid a wig to impersonate Psyche. As Medea walks through the market, she accidentally bumps into a mother and daughter. The little girl drops some apples, blocking Medea’s path. Recognizing Medea as a noble lady, the mother kneels and begs for forgiveness. Medea picks up the apples, and the child sweetly asks for them back. Onlookers assume the child is in trouble, but she gently returns the apples, and the girl and her mother express gratitude. This small act of kindness brings a rare smile to Medea’s face. She recalls briefly returning to her own body and witnessing the chaos Psyche had created, feeling surprisingly happy instead of angry, especially at her father’s stunned expression.

At the temple, a girl is knocking on the door, anxiously asking if her father will attend a meeting. The scene shifts to the meeting, where the Pope leads a discussion emphasizing the current oracle’s critical importance. On another side of the temple, Pell is irritated by a man urging him to hurry. Later, he encounters a hooded figure who turns out to be Helio. Back in her carriage, Medea is suddenly jolted to a stop, stunned to see Eros personally inspecting all the carriages.

Your Throne Chapter 31: Veils Of Deception

Your Throne Chapter 31 opens with Medea, still in her Psyche disguise, feeling anxious about her current predicament. Pell faces harsh words in the temple as he strides toward the meeting room; other priests criticize him for being late to such an important discussion. One man suggests that the Pope should fire Pell, but when he sees Pell in person, he quickly recants his statement.

On the road, a man attempts to bribe an officer but is quickly exposed as a wanted criminal when his disguise fails. The imperial guards apprehend him and, while searching his carriage, discover two injured children hidden inside. Eros arrives and doesn’t hesitate to stab the criminal with his sword, commanding the guards to take him for interrogation. Medea watches the unfolding chaos, noting the crowd’s cheers for his decisive actions as he continues his inspections.

In a separate development, the sixth priest is currently ill and the only one privy to the oracle’s secrets. Pell enters the meeting room, engaging in small talk with the Pope, but their conversation is interrupted by another priest’s criticism of Pell’s behavior. A heated argument ensues, with Pell calling out the other priest’s corruption. Soon after, a guard steps in, reminding Pell that he is just an outsider among the other servants of God. Pell smirks and challenges the guard to prove who the true servant really is.

In the next scene, Eros rushes to Medea’s carriage and opens the door, only to find it empty. The carriage driver urges him to look under the seat, where an imperial guard was found captive. In a swift move, Medea, disguised as a guard, mingles with another, knocking the guard out before he can react.

Chapter 32: Heart Of Vasilios

In Your Throne Chapter 32, Medea, still in disguise, knocks out the imperial guard as she makes her escape. Eros, noticing her and suspects her as Medea, orders his guards to pursue her, leading the chase himself. They track her into the forest, where Eros faces uncertainty about whether to continue following her or change direction. Ultimately, Eros decides to dispatch some guards deeper into the woods while he and the others head to Solon’s manor. 

Upon reaching the manor, Eros encounters the inebriated Duke, who is aware of recent events, including the apparent suicide attempt by Medea. Despite the Duke’s questioning, he insists on gaining access to Medea’s room, disregarding the Duke’s attempts to impede him and asserting his authority. Simultaneously, Medea, disguised as Psyche, escapes and unexpectedly encounters an oncoming carriage. In a separate scene, Helio meets with a priest who shares an oracle with him, leaving him apprehensive about its implications.

The narrative then shifts to a meeting room, where tensions escalate. The previously threatened priest opposes publicizing the oracle, leading to a sudden interruption when news of another priest’s death emerges. Meanwhile, Pell discloses a troubling prediction to a colleague, suggesting that Vasilios’s downfall will be linked to close ties within the empire, raising suspicions about Eros and Psyche. Returning to Solon’s mansion, Eros enters an empty room, concluding Your Throne Chapter 32 with a wounded Psyche (in Medea’s body) hiding in fear for her life behind a curtain.
