John is your regular teenage boy with nothing too extraordinary. In fact, he does not even have any powers unlike everyone else. John was homeschooled his entire life. Which is why he wishes to experience new things as he enters Wellston Private High School.
Unfortunately for him, everyone at this school also only respects those with powers. John does not fear anyone despite being told to stay in his line countless times. He continues to take a stand for those who are weaker and preaches the idea of equality regardless of one’s powers just like shown in ‘Unordinary’ book.
William, John’s father, was the author of the book ‘Unordinary’. He wrote this book to show his son John that despite one’s power status, everyone should help each other instead of exerting their dominance over them. As a result of these liberal ideas, John is able to make friends with Seraphina, who belongs to the high tiers and was previously the Queen. Earlier, she used to think of ‘Cripples’, the ones with no power, as weaklings and a shame to society. John’s revolutionary ideas and resilient nature gradually changed her thinking.

The First Big Plot Twist
Soon enough, the other Royals, including Arlo, the King, and other high tiers, started paying attention to John because Seraphina stopped hanging out with them to hang out with him instead. As a result, Arlo started noticing John’s unusually bold attitude despite his disability.
He tasked Isen to find out John’s secret, and soon enough, Isen found out John’s records from his previous school. Turns out John was pretending to hide his real powers. According to the information he found out, John is actually a high ranker himself and was the king of his previous school. However, his previous school had to expel John for mass violence.
Gradually everyone finds out about John’s secret except Seraphina. Meanwhile, a group of mid-tiers attacked Seraphina, who lost all her powers. However, she still did not give up and held on courageously, all because of John. Unfortunately, John started acting extra violent because of his past trauma and beat up every Royal in his school in front of everyone and hence crowned himself the King.
Soon enough, even Seraphina found out his secret. She did not give up on John despite his betrayal and got her powers back with the help of her sister to help John. They had a massive fight, but John finally calmed down. He changed himself for her.
The Second Big Plot Twist
However, there was a much bigger problem to tackle now. Ember, an anonymous organization, was killing high tiers acting as superheroes. It turns out that Ember was a secret government organization that was created to control high tiers. Also, Seraphina got involved in an organization called Spectra. She did so in order to get her powers back and to help her sister, whom she had met after waiting for years.
Unfortunately, she was backstabbed by her organization which attacked John, who lost his powers now for good. Miraculously, he got her powers back with the help of his old doctor. Surprisingly, the drug used by both organizations was similar to John’s DNA.
Later, John finds out his father was killed by the authorities while his mother was imprisoned by them. Hence, the authorities used her mother’s DNA to create drugs acting as amplifiers. Moreover, the authorities were looking for all the high tiers for rebelling against them. John and all his friends got into a massive fight with the authorities. While they still managed to escape. However, the authorities were still able to arrest Blyke and Arlo.
