Previously in Baby Tyrant, Empress Mabel goes to the drought-ridden West to attend a rain-calling ceremony. As the Seed of God, she uses her God-given powers to summon a thunderstorm. On the way back home, Mabel’s procession is attacked by Devlin’s enchanters. While protecting Mabel, Estevan suffers a fatal wound and starts dying. Scared of losing the first parent who ever loved her, Mabel uses an immense amount of power to perform a miracle and bring Estevan back from the brink of death. After this astonishing ordeal, she falls into a coma for a month. Days after she wakes up, Mabel makes Aidan her personal guard. Mabel is five years old now. She forms a close relationship with Aidan and actively works with him to crush the Devlin Empire. Chapter 48 ends with a council meeting in which Duke Javier mentions the upcoming Founding Ceremony.
Baby Tyrant Chapter 49: Duchess Donovan Plans A Trip

Baby Tyrant Chapter 49 begins as Duke Javier suggests that Mabel should attend the Founding Banquet. Initially, Estevan is skeptical, believing it to be another of Duke Javier’s schemes. He eventually realizes that the banquet would be a great opportunity for Mabel to make her high society debut and solidify her position with the nobility. He asks Mabel what she thinks, and she says “I wanna go!” Later, Lisandro, Estevan and Gustaf discuss the banquet, each agreeing that the spotlight must be on Mabel. They decide that Mabel should have the finest gown and jewels. However, having no knowledge of womens’ fashion, they turn to someone else for help. Duchess Donovan.
Mabel goes to meet the Duchess, nervous to meet her father’s cold ex-wife, and has tea with her. She invites her on a trip to Likavelle Street, the leading shopping street in the Capital. Mabel is excited to visit the boutiques but extremely apprehensive about going with Duchess Donovan. Meanwhile, Oscar duels Aidan for sword practice and loses to him for the 978th time. “No need to fret… I’m simply too strong for you,” Aidan says bluntly. Just as Oscar decides to go again, Mabel runs towards them cheerfully. She brings a picnic basket with her and the three of them sit down on the grass. Oscar notices Aidan happily eat the cookies Mabel brought him despite his intense dislike for sweets. Baby Chapter 49 concludes as Mabel informs them about her planned trip with Duchess Donovan.
Chapter 50: Mabel Goes Shopping

Baby Tyrant Chapter 50 begins with Mabel meeting Duchess Donovan for their trip. Estevan sent numerous guards to accompany Mabel, all of whom the Duchess waves away. Before stepping into her carriage, Mabel entrusts Aidan with her safety saying, “Aidan, I’ll leave it up to you.”
During the awakward silence of the journey, Mabel becomes insecure. She had previously asked Oscar for everything about Duchess Donovan and learnt that she couuldn’t stand ignorance. She thinks, ‘I need to act more like a grown-up!’ As they enter the boutique, Mabel gazes around in wonderment. Mabel is guided to the dressing room and fit into a delicate, perfectly tailored dress. Although it is uncomfortable, heavy and difficult to breathe in, Mabel approves the dress to impress Duchess Donovan. Unsatisfied, the Duchess orders the trial of more outfits. Mabel’s next dress is light and beautiful. The Duchess explains that there is no need for Mabel to dress like an adult yet, earning Mabel’s respect.
Before they leave, Duchess Donovan purchases their entire collection, shocking Mabel. They visit more boutiques where the Duchess buys all the dresses each time. Mabel is rendered tired and exhausted by the end of their spending spree.
In the last shop, she runs into Enrique, seeing him after three years. Emili Javier, his red-haired sister, is with him. Well-mannered and kind, Emili makes a good impression on Mabel. Mabel finds it hard to believe that Duke Javier could have such nice children. Baby Tyrant Chapter 50 concludes as Duchess Donovan advises Mabel to keep her distance from the Javier children.
Chapter 51: Aidan’s Secret Identity

Baby Tyrant Chapter 51 begins as Duchess Donovan confronts Mabel asking, “Your Majesty, are you afraid of me?” Mabel asks the Duchess if she hates her, to which she says. “I have no reason to dislike you.” She further tells Mabel to remain steadfast and become a fearless and assertive ruler. Mabel becomes cheerful when she realizes Duchess Donovan is no threat to her, and after that day becomes less intimidated by her. Meanwhile, Aidan muses over his position as Mabel’s guard. He now has complete control over himself even when at great distance from Mabel. Aidan also ponders the reason behind his sudden discomfort when spending time with Mabel. As he steps inside an unknown building, a knife sails through the air towards him. Catching it neatly, Aidan is applauded by a man standing above him.
In the past years, Aidan had adopted a secret identity. He frequently doubles as Ethan, the master of ‘Evil’, which is an intelligence guild. Evil had been created three years prior and had quickly gained control of all intelligence. At night, Aidan visits Mabel in her bedroom, where she is soundly asleep. After waking her up and gently draping a blanket over her, Aidan gives her the information she asked for. Due to her limited freedom as Empress, Mabel established Evil (the intelligence guild) with Ethan (Aidan!) at its head. Baby Tyrant Chapter 51 concludes with Mabel thinking, ‘I’ll make them all regret ever trying to mess with me.’
Baby Tyrant Chapter 52: Founding Banquet

Baby Tyrant Chapter 52 begins with Emili Javier making her entry at the Founding Banquet. For a short period of time, she is the center of attention among the nobility. Everyone is impressed with her poise, etiquette and high-society connections. However, the second Mabel walks out, the spotlight is taken off Emili.
Tightly holding Estevan’s hand, Mabel nervously walks to her throne. She greets the crowd and earns a cheer from them. Estevan asks Mabel what she would like for her present, saying that she can request anything. Mabel smiles and says, “Then I want you to give me nothing!” Mabel accompanies Duchess Donovan to mingle with the nobility. Highly respected by everyone, Duchess Donovan’s honourable reputation makes it easy for Mabel to meet everyone. Mabel is incredibly impresssed, and finally realizes why Estevan chose Duchess Donovan to prepare Mabel for her first ball.
As the music slows down and people begin waltzing, Enrique approaches Mabel and asks her for a dance. Chapter 52 concludes as Estevan gets between them and asserts, “You cannot dance with him, Mabel,” before she can say anything.
Chapter 53: Mabel Makes New Friends

Baby Tyrant Chapter 53 begins as Estevan steps in the middle of Enrique and Mabel. He denies Enrique the right to dance with Mabel, causing widespread gossip among the whispering nobles. Estevan harshly tells Enrique, “If you wish to ask her to dance, you will have to go through me first.” Vexed by her overprotective father, Mabel shouts “Daddy, you big dummy!” She calls Estevan mean and yells at him to go away.
Later, Mabel walks with Duchess Donovan and finds a group of girls roughly her age. Nervously, she steps towards them. The girls immediately notice her and curtesy. ‘How adorable,’ Mabel thinks, ‘I wish I could be friends with them.’ Emili Javier steps forward and greets Mabel. She charms both Mabel and the Duchess by saying, “What a lovely dress! It suits Your Majesty perfectly. You have impeccable taste, Duchess Donovan!”
Emili invites Mabel to a tea party and Mabel considers the offer, especially since Enrique will be there. “I’ll send you an invitation!” Emili says cheerfully. After the banquet, Emili and Enrique are alone outside the palace. Enrique tells Emili to ‘drop the act’, upon which her friendly eyes immediately morph into a cold stare. “What did Father say to you?” Enrique asks. Emili tells him to mind his business.
Emili knows that Enrique wishes to become the imperial consort and rudely says, “You’d better start wagging your tail like a little puppy so that you can endear yourself to that adorable little Emperor.” While boarding her carriage, Emili expresses her disapproval of her ‘spineless’ and ‘weak-willed’ brother. At home, Duke Javier asks Emili to become closer to Mabel than anyone else. Emili says, “I’m the one best suited to become the next head of this family!”
Baby Tyrant Chapter 54: Mabel At The Library

Baby Tyrant Chapter 54 starts with Aidan appearing on Mabel’s balcony as she gets ready for bed. Mabel rushes out to meet him and gives him a bag of sweets to thank him for all his recent help. Aidan thoughtfully (kidding, he hates sweet things) shares them with Mabel. As firewroks explode in the night sky and illuminate the entire royal palace, Aidan lifts a barefoot Mabel to protect her from the cold. Safe in his arms with her cookie, Mabel watches the light show thinking, ‘What a nice feeling…’
In the morning, Mabel visits the palace library with Lisandro. She had started reading a wide variety of books to gain knowledge. Aidan, the only person who knows she can read, brings her books regularly. Mabel decides to save the trouble and borrow books from the library instead. At the entrance, Lisandro is stopped due to a rule that only members of the imperial family are permitted inside. Mabel is overjoyed at the idea of leaving Lisandro outside. Meanwhile, Lisandro anxiously yells behind her, “No running! And don’t walk under any large objects! And be careful on the stairs!”
Inside the library, Mabel is awestruck with the towering bookshelves and categorically arranged books. She finds a book that might help her figure out why she’s the ‘Seed of God’. Mabel summons a gust of wind to knock the out of reach book into her hands. Unexpectedly, the book is caught by a tall, blonde-haired man. She asks him to give her the book. Baby Tyrant Chapter 54 concludes as the man picks out a child’s book for her instead and then mysteriously vanishes.
Chapter 55: Baby Tyrant Season 1 Finale

Baby Tyrant Chapter 55 begins with Oscar bursting into Mabel’s bedroom after hearing of her encounter with the strange library man. He asks whether she was hurt first and then notices all the books on her bed. Mabel gives Oscar a book (the one given by the man in the library) to read to her. The book explains the mythological creation of their world by God.
Following the library incident, Mabel finds her freedom curtailed even more than usual. Aidan, Lisandro, Oscar, Estevan, poor Gustaf (dragged along by Estevan) and even the Guardian Deity follow Mabel wherever she goes. After refusing to add the sacred title ‘Winter’ to her name, Abelardo requested Mabel to take classes from a holy priest. Mabel walks to her first class (and her personal mob of overprotective guardians follows her). She shuts the doors on all of them and refuses even Estevan to observe the lesson.
Inside, Mabel realizes her teacher is none other than the elusive man from the library. She feels a familiar energy radiate from him, making her nauseous. “Are you, by any chance,” Mabel asks, “…the Holy Emperor?” The man smirks and agrees, putting Mabel in defensive mode. The Holy Emperor informs Mabel of an undisclosed part of the Oracle’s message. While the well-known part of the prophecy spoke of the resurrection of the Seed of God, the rest of the message speaks of the world’s end.
Mabel is skeptical at first and tells Abelardo she doesn’t believe in God. However, he shows her the signs of impending doom, like the persistent drought in the West. Baby Tyrant Chapter 55 and Season 1 conclude as Abelardo says, “You must save this world.”
