What separates a hero from a bad guy? Hand Jumper, a fast-paced, intelligent manhwa thriller, follows Sayeon, a brilliant girl enlisted into the Aberrant Corps- a morally grey body of supernaturals who protect the law- on her ambitious journey to the top. Previously in Hand Jumper, Ryujin recognizes her old friend, Yesol- a Sea wolf captain- before Juni takes her captive. Desperate to fulfill her promise to reunite with her, Ryujin begs Sayeon to help her set Yesol free. Sayeon agrees to help- but only on the condition that Ryujin goes along with all her plans in the future. What’s Sayeon’s plan to tackle their own Aberrant supervisor into letting a high-level prisoner escape? Her Machiavellian idea is revealed in Hand Jumper Chapter 93. Is Sayeon just a genius waiting to be recognized… or is there a darker side to her motives?
Hand Jumper Chapter 93: Civilian Charades

Hand Jumper Chapter 93 begins as Iseul- with Changsub on his back- races after Min. It was no use; they would never catch up with Sayeon and Ryujin. They were long gone. Nervously, he asks Min if they were indeed heading back to the Aberrant Corps. Sayeon wouldn’t pick another fight… right? Min focuses on Iseul with intense energy and tells him to have some faith in their team leader. Iseul smiles and agrees, but inside, he wonders with an unsettled feeling. Did Min really trust her that much… or did he not care about the outcome?
Meanwhile, Sayeon removes her glasses. With her hair in a ponytail, a purple polka tee, and baggy jeans that seemed to contrast her true nature completely, she was fully in disguise. Cheerfully, she tells Ryujin, who was wearing a grey dress, that she should dress up more often. They suited her. Ryujin gives her the standard Ryujin scowl and tells her to hurry up with the plan. Yesol might be dying at the moment. And they were playing dress-up like 7-year-old girls!
Ryujin puts on sunglasses to cover up Lucy’s eyes, a distinctive feature of Aberrants who had Godlings in their ancestry, despite the fact that they made her look suspicious. She asks Sayeon why they were disguised; they wouldn’t be able to fool Juni either way. But Sayeon’s plan wasn’t to fool Juni. It was to fool the civilians.
The Normal Level of Despicable, Really

Since Juni was bound by the Corps to protect non-Aberrants, they would be the perfect hostages. And since Ryujin believed that Yesol was a good person, the civilians would be perfectly safe. Of course, not a single word that she said was true. Those innocents were in serious danger. But Ryujin angrily realizes that she couldn’t speak against the plan. To go against Sayeon would mean going against Yesol. She couldn’t admit that she didn’t fully trust the Sea Wolf captain.
Back when they were kids, Yesol never would’ve hurt anyone. But people changed with time- or at least let a hidden facet of themselves, something that was there all along, see the light. Could it be that Yesol had turned into one of those people? Could it be that she’d turned into… Sayeon?
Ryujin suddenly realizes what Sayeon’s plan was all about. She was holding Yesol hostage and forcing her to demonstrate murderous intent. It was the same position she’d been in with Changsub. Ryujin hears Sayeon’s voice clearly in her head: “See, your friend is no better than I am.” She was despicable, calculating, villainous… and incredible. Facing a checkmate, Ryujin accepts Sayeon’s plan.
Moments later, Sayeon bursts through the door of a small shop. She calls a distressed man, Mr. Bak, by his name- he immediately stands up and tells him what he wanted to hear. Previously, Sayeon had gone through the app of an innocent civilian. She’d seen Mr. Bak’s alert; he was looking for his missing daughter. Feigning an urgent panic, she tells him that she’d been sent by his child. Hand Jumper Chapter 93 concludes as she asks him to follow her.
