Hand Jumper is a supernatural, fantasy thriller manhwa that follows Sayeon, a tactical genius but morally grey character, as she tries to climb the ranks within the Aberrant Corps at any cost. Previously in Hand Jumper, Ryujin’s old friend from the Concordat, Yesol Na, recognizes her in a coincidental encounter with cell four. As Sayeon plays a ruthless chess game with the high-ranking Sea Wolf captain, Yesol tries to protect a young boy, Changsub, while comprehending Ryujin’s new suit and tie look. With Sayeon’s slow spiral into villainy and the hidden complexities within her dangerous world unfolding with each chapter, what will await in Hand Jumper Chapter 89? At our own risk… let’s find out.
Hand Jumper Chapter 89: Swear On My Shining Armour

Hand Jumper Chapter 89 begins with Ryujin and Yesol playing knight and princess. Ryujin, donning a flowy red cape and a golden crown, saves her princess from a ferocious one-foot-tall stuffed dragon of doom. After the game ends, she sadly wonders why Yesol had to leave for the Sea Wolves. Couldn’t she stay for one more day?
Yesol assures her that she will return. Until then, she’d have to find a new princess. Ryujin remembers her mother’s face, recalls the very same words she’d said before leaving, and stubbornly says, “If you leave me, you’re never gonna come back.” She hoists her cardboard sword onto her shoulder and vows to find her instead- a knight’s promise.

In the present, Juni gives Sayeon a piece of her mind and tells the over-ambitious Aberrant to stand down. She orders Sayeon to take Changsub, the young Aberrant boy, back to headquarters. But Sayeon wastes no time in arguing- she knew all of the enemy’s weaknesses; they could take her down!
In a rage of fury, Juni threatens to strip Sayeon of her clips, commenting, “That’s all you care about, right?” Using her blue ribbons, Juni lifts Sayeon and the three other cell members into the air for a ‘boost’. Meanwhile, Yesol struggles within her essence binds… she needed to get to Ryujin. She deduces that the Aberrant Corps must’ve been forcing her to work for them, and knows that revealing their relationship might put her in danger. She declares her name for everyone to hear and yells, “I swear on that name that I’ll come find you! It’s a knight’s promise!”
Ryujin’s eyes widen with recognition seconds before a loud boom reverberates through the city, concluding Hand Jumper Chapter 89.

What Happened So Far?
Previously in Hand Jumper, cell four fights Yesol according to Sayeon’s Machiavellian plan. Knowing that the powerful Aberrant attacking them- Yesol- valued Changsub, a weak Aberrant child, Sayeon decides to use him as leverage. With all the experience she’d gained by rewinding on the same situation multiple times, Sayeon sends Iseul on a wild goose chase to find Juni. With the most compassionate and ethical member out of the way, she brandishes a knife against the small boy’s neck. She leaves Min free to fight Yesol, and prepares to truly kill the child (she could always rewind time on death, which means it wouldn’t be “murder”, right?).
However, before she can act, Ryujin threatens Sayeon with her fingers in a gun to her head. Immediately, Min rushes to Sayeon’s aid, and the trio remain deadlocked in a stalemate. But guess who’s back?
After returning to the battlefield, Iseul directs a fleet of hovering objects towards Yesol while Juni traps her within blue essence ribbons. However, the young Sea Wolf captain was no easy animal to hunt. Yesol bursts free of their constraints in a tremendous burst of power, and hurles a shard towards Min’s chest. Before things get out of hand again, Juni entwines Yesol with her ribbons again and turns her attention towards the reckless level-three Aberrant beside her.
