The Predator And Prey | Psyche and Eros
Your Throne Chapter 203: Torture
Your Throne Chapter 203 opens with Eve receiving a letter from the Pope instructing her to send Psyche to the temple. Although she feels reluctant, Eve follows orders, placing her daughter in a box for transport. As troubling thoughts haunt her, Eve recalls a nightmarish moment from her past when she was a beggar, tormented by wealthy nobles. Desperate to avoid returning to that life, she resolves to comply with the Pope’s wishes.
Psyche returns the next day, seemingly happy, which brings Eve some relief in Your Throne Chapter 203. However, as the temple requests Psyche’s presence more frequently, Eve notices the sparkle in her daughter’s eyes fading away. She diligently prepares Psyche for each visit, oblivious to the dark reality behind the temple’s intentions.
As time passes, Psyche matures, and one day, while getting her ready for another visit, Eve notices her shivering. Concerned, she asks Psyche if she’s alright about going to the temple. It is then that Eve discovers the heartbreaking truth: Psyche is being physically abused by the Pope, who is blackmailing her to maintain the facade of her divinity. Devastated, Eve realizes that the temple visits are not for her daughter’s benefit.
With the temple authorities pressing for them to hurry, Eve feels torn. She doesn’t want to send Psyche away anymore, but Psyche expresses her desire to go, as it brings her mother joy. Fighting back tears, Eve hugs her daughter tightly, knowing that she feels powerless to protect her. In the next scene, we shift to a young Eros sitting in his chambers, bored. He passes the time by killing animals and birds, concluding Your Throne Chapter 203.
Chapter 204: The Crown Prince’s Hobby
Following Your Throne Chapter 203, Chapter 204 begins with the intriguing revelation that Eros has a secret hobby: hiding his identity to spy on others. In the following scene, Eros attends a private ball organized by a casino owner under the guise of anonymity. He has learned that the owner operates an illegal gambling house.
Eros asks his attendant to join a poker game that is happening in one corner of the venue. As she begins to play, she swiftly starts winning hand after hand, which satisfies Eros. However, an inquisitive man approaches him, inquiring about the attendant. The man, thinking Eros is just a naive child, divulges unnecessary information. Soon after, Eros receives a card from the man, signaling an invitation to the illegal gambling party.
In the next scene, they reveal that Eros’s teacher is also participating in this illicit gathering. After losing a game, the teacher inadvertently reveals his identity. Seizing the opportunity, Eros reveals his identity as the crown prince and orders the arrest of everyone present. He delights in watching them bow before him, taking a sadistic pleasure in their submission.
The narrative then shifts as the attendant reports these happenings to the emperor. Meanwhile, back at home, it is time for Psyche’s regular visit to the temple. Feeling helpless, Eve grapples with the knowledge that she cannot save Psyche from her fate.
The chapter continues with Eros planning another night excursion, accompanied solely by his attendant. When she remarks that times are peaceful thanks to Eros’s heroic deeds, he dismisses it as boring. Shocked by his response, she realizes she might have underestimated him. Eros suddenly orders a detour into a high-crime district, setting the stage for an unexpected encounter.
Your Throne Chapter 205: Kidnapped By Bandits
Your Throne Chapter 205 begins with the Pope experimenting on Psyche, drawing out her blood for unknown purposes. In the next scene, as Psyche travels to the temple in a carriage, an ambush by bandits disrupts her journey. She hopes for a fairy tale prince to rescue her, but her hopes are dashed when she realizes the truth of her predicament. The bandits pry open the chest, revealing a terrified Psyche surrounded by dead corpses, and she faints in shock. The bandits seize her, carrying her away.
Meanwhile, Eros wanders along empty roads with his attendant, sensing something amiss. Back with Psyche, she regains consciousness inside the box and learns that her captors intend to ransom her, should she prove noble, or sell her otherwise. When the criminals question her background, Psyche reveals that she is an orphan cared for by the Pope and demands to be returned to the temple. Startled by her response, the bandits decide to sell her immediately and make their escape.
Seizing an opportunity, Psyche discreetly throws a trinket towards the window, creating a diversion, and manages to escape from the box, prompting the criminals to pursue her. Outside, she cries for help, her voice carrying through the air. Eros and his attendant hear her desperate shouts and prepare to intervene. Just then, one bandit catches up to Psyche, threatening to kill her and her parents. In a moment of desperation, Psyche unleashes her anti-divinity, blood streaming from her face, shocking the criminal and ending Your Throne Chapter 205 on a suspenseful cliffhanger.
Chapter 206: Savior
Your Throne Chapter 206 begins with Eros meeting Psyche for the first time. She faints almost immediately, leaving Eros puzzled about the corpses surrounding them. When the guards arrive, Eros’s attendant mentions that a criminal called the girl a monster. Intrigued, Eros decides to take Psyche back to his mountain house, all the while knowing she is Count Callista’s daughter.
In the next scene, Eros and his attendant stand beside a sleeping Psyche, and Eros thinks she looks cute. When Psyche suddenly wakes up, she is startled by her new surroundings. Eros assures her that she is safe and explains that he has informed her father of the situation. At this, Psyche looks up at him, surprised to learn she has a father. Grateful, she thanks him for saving her, prompting Eros to realize she doesn’t know he is the crown prince. Curious about her savior, Psyche tells him he is amazing, which lightly annoys Eros. He introduces himself as Ian Libero and invites her outside. Psyche is thrilled to see the snowy lawn for the first time and marvels at the sunlight.
Meanwhile, the Pope is in a meeting room with Mone. When Eve’s sister attempts to touch Mone, he shrugs her hand off. Suddenly, a guard bursts in, announcing that a child has been kidnapped, and he turns his gaze toward Mone. Trying to leave, he is stopped by Mone, who coldly demands an update on the situation regarding his daughter. Your Throne Chapter 206 concludes with Mone turning to the Pope in anger, accusing him of breaking his promise.
Your Throne Chapter 207: Misery
Your Throne Chapter 207 begins with Eve receiving the shocking news that her daughter has been kidnapped and taken by the prince. Overwhelmed, she faints. In her dream, she sees an injured Psyche, who blames her for the misfortune. Devastated, Eve cries bitterly, and in her vision, Mone appears to wipe her tears and apologizes. Eve is so stunned that she momentarily questions if she is dreaming or if it is reality. Suddenly, she wakes up to find herself alone and scolds herself for harboring any hope.
Meanwhile, Mone had indeed visited Eve. A guard advises him against going to the basement again. Mone accepts his shortcomings as a husband and prepares to head to the palace.
At the palace, Mone is prevented from meeting the emperor by the guards. He insists that the promise has been broken and that he will leave if he cannot see the emperor. Moments later, the emperor agrees to meet Count Callista. When they come face to face, Mone introduces himself as the father of the light. It is revealed that when the Pope first heard the oracle stating that Psyche is the light and Eros is the nourishment for that light, both the emperor and empress were upset, not wanting their son to be an offering. As the emperor could not directly kill Psyche, he made an agreement to keep her hidden forever for her safety.
Mone then informs the emperor that his son has taken Psyche, shocking the emperor. He demands to see Eros. The tension rises as Mone and Eros meet, with Mone filled with deep rage upon seeing him. Your Throne Chapter 207 ends with Mone greeting Eros.
Chapter 208: Unanticipated Ambush
Your Throne Chapter 208 begins with Mone demanding that Eros return his daughter, Psyche. Eros questions why Mone pretends to be a good parent, given that Count Callista abuses his wife and is cold to Psyche. Mone acknowledges that these rumors stem from an agreement but wants to know if Eros is aware of it. It becomes clear that someone has not informed Eros about the agreement.
Mone later realizes that the emperor must not have told Eros anything about the Oracle, the agreement, or Psyche’s powers. Eros tells Mone he intends to keep Psyche for one more week before returning her. Taking advantage of this, Mone negotiates to three days.
In the next scene, Eros informs Psyche that she needs to go home. He plans to give her a farewell gift. Later, they find themselves outside on a market street at night, illuminated by lights. Although Psyche feels curious yet scared, Eros reassures her that they will protect her. They enjoy looking at various stalls and tasting delicious foods.
In a moment of spontaneity, Eros escapes from his attendant with Psyche, finding a quiet spot where they can observe the lively market. Psyche thanks Eros and expresses her happiness with the farewell gift. As Eros realizes that the guards are closing in on them, he decides they must part ways. However, just as he prepares to leave, an unknown assailant attacks him. The scene shifts to a moment of celebration, where people cheer as Eros is crowned the emperor. Your Throne Chapter 208 concludes by returning to the past, depicting Eros being injured by the assailant.

When Eros awakens, he sees his guard-attendant and Psyche by his side. Psyche expresses her determination to save him, but Eros scoffs, questioning if she thinks she is special simply because he has shown her kindness.
Psyche, filled with guilt for not being able to do anything for Eros after all he has done for her, prepares to use her powers to heal him. She remembers her mother’s words not to reveal her abilities. However, driven by desperation, she taps into her divine powers to heal him.
The emperor enters Eros’s room and feels relieved to find his son healed. However, when Eros tells his father that Psyche saved his life but should be punished since his guard witnessed her powers, the emperor is conflicted.
Despite knowing the guard speaks the truth, the emperor realizes he cannot let the matter go without consequence, fearing the secret of Psyche’s divinity could be revealed. He orders the guard’s execution to protect that secret.
At the same time, Eve is losing her grip on reality because she has not seen her daughter. Frustrated by the servants who are not helping her, she finally snaps and attacks a maid, resolved to seek out Mone Callista, ending Your Throne Chapter 209.

Upon entering Mone’s room, she finds him asleep. Overwhelmed by emotions, she picks up a knife with the intent to kill him, but seeing his tired and fatigued face, she can’t bring herself to do it and drops the knife, waking him up.
Mone, half-asleep, thinks he’s dreaming when he sees her. Overcome with emotion, he kisses her passionately. Surprised by the sudden kiss, Eve pushes him away, blushing. However, she soon loses herself in the moment, feeling that Mone still loves her, and they passionately embrace once more. Mone realizes this is not a dream but a reality, and he comforts Eve as they make love.
In the following scene, the couple talks and clears up their misunderstandings. Mone apologizes to Eve and acknowledges his deep love for her. As they hold each other closely, they devise a plan to escape the Pope’s grasp. Together, they decide to leave the empire and live peacefully as a family while hiding their identities.
Eve dresses to avoid raising suspicion as they prepare to leave. Mone suggests they go to Othilei to start a new chapter in their lives, noting that the people there have beautiful green eyes like Eve’s. She agrees, feeling hopeful about their future. The chapter concludes with Eros unexpectedly declaring that he will marry Psyche.

This notion worries the emperor, who is apprehensive about his son’s motivations. Meanwhile, the Pope cares for Psyche, who has fainted from exerting herself to save Eros and offers her a restorative drink. Afterward, the Pope returns her to Mone, who happily takes her back to Eve. The reunion fills Eve with joy as the three of them share a tender moment together.
In another part of the palace, a transformed Mone begins attending social gatherings again, leaving everyone surprised by his newfound demeanor. The Pope hears about Mone’s changes and feels amusement at seeing him emerge from his previous despair.
In a pivotal scene on a boat, Eros unexpectedly proposes marriage to Psyche, catching Mone off guard. Mone initially tries to refuse Eros’s request, but Eros insists on having Psyche. Realizing this could present a significant opportunity, Mone eventually agrees to Eros’s proposal but asks for something in return. Eros’s enthusiastic response surprises Mone when he offers to kill the Pope for him, leaving Mone shocked, and Your Throne Chapter 211 concludes on this intense note.

Pell hears Psyche’s servant, Lira, calling for help. Lira is stuck atop a tree, and when Pell attempts to rescue her, he crashes down onto her. Once they’ve disentangled, Lira explains that there are threats against both Psyche and the Count.
Back in the cave, Mone tells Psyche that he doesn’t regret his deal with Eros, noting that it has brought many benefits. Psyche has received good treatment under the guise of “crown princess development.” A brief flashback shows Mone and Eve dancing together; Eve expresses her desire to raise Psyche with love and kindness, not as a noble.
As the story continues, fifteen-year-old Psyche excitedly discovers a letter from Ian, revealing that Eros wishes to meet her as her debut approaches. Seizing the opportunity, Mone plans to take Eve out of the basement. He inquires about Eros’s engagement to Medea Solon, but Eros asks him not to worry about it. Mone agrees and promptly informs Eve about Eros’s plan.
