Queen pays Navier an evening visit, this time with a note from his master asking her to guess his identity. Navier replies with a “Do you know who I am?” She doesn’t have to wait long for the next note because a drenched Queen slips into her chamber. The empress is more upset about his heartless master over the exasperating bet that the master challenges. Queen furiously shakes his tiny head to defend his master, and she only admires his intelligence. She scribbles a quick reply, asking for the winning reward. She settles with Queen on her bed, not allowing him to fly until the rains stop. The Remarried Empress Chapter 9 ends with her receiving a reply, “Queen shall be the prize.”

Sovieshu’s indifference towards the empress catches people’s attention. However, taking care of Navier’s heart. Heinrey offers his hand as an invitation to dance. His bold behavior and sweet gesture of asking her with a rose compel her to accept the gift. Their mirthful banter through the dance turns heads. The music concludes, and Rashta approaches the prince of the Western Empire for the next round. Customarily, they cannot have two dances with the same partner. Navier takes her place as the emperor’s second partner. Throughout the dance, she reminisces about the good times she shared with Sovieshu while growing up, only turning to nothing.

On the second day of the ceremony, Navier catches sight of Rashta dressed in fine silk gifted by Rylan Roth as a bribe to the empress. In the next scene, Princess Circe of the Southern Empire mentions that Prince Heinrey is publicly looking for his anonymous pen pal. Queen’s mysterious master’s identity is now transparent to Navier, but she keeps silent. But, it seems her husband’s mistress has other plans.
Hearing the news, Rashta decides to attempt something wicked. Countess Verdi, the former lady-in-waiting of Navier, had given up her post at her palace and joined Rashta. She informs Rashta that the empress is Prince Heinrey’s secret pen pal. After learning this, Rashta pushes a naive young lady to pretend to be the rumored pen pal, convincing her that it is merely a prank. The naive lady foolishly follows the plan and approaches Heinrey, who doesn’t look very pleased with her predicament.

A final dinner is arranged on the last day with the Eastern Empire’s most important guests. Navier knows that Prince Heinrey and Grand Duke Kaufman of Luipt are the main attractions of the last banquet. Grand Duke Kaufman is an elite magician at the top of his academic year.
On the other hand, Princess Circe whispers that Heinrey is being too friendly with Rashta after she reveals she is his pen pal. But the so-called ‘friendly’ companionship isn’t going as she wished.
Navier no longer cares about Sovieshu allowing Rashta to participate in important banquets. But she couldn’t ignore the growing animosity between him and the Prince of the Western Empire. Rashta bursts into tears, accusing Heinrey that he is being hard on her only because she is not a noblewoman. In response, he blames her for lying to him first, thinking little of his status. She grows agitated at her words, crying that Navier is being mean.
Sovieshu and Heinrey walk in on them, and the former’s attention fixes on his mistress’s crying state. He accuses Navier of being harsh on her, but she firmly stands up for herself. She demands the emperor clarify the false rumors in her name. Heinrey watches the empress speaking with her head held high. He realizes he is falling fast and hard for the empress of the Eastern Empire. Interrupting them, he assures the empress that he will help her stem the rumors.

The Remarried Empress Chapter 15 opens with Rashta pleading to let her attend the special banquet. While Sovieshu doesn’t want to disappoint his mistress, he can’t keep her wish either. Having no other choice, he approaches Navier to make an exception in her guest list. Her dilemma turns into annoyance when he mentions Rashta. She makes it clear she will not be replacing any of her guests in favor of his mistress.
In the banquet, Navier politely thanked Grand Duke Kaufman for his attendance and replied with equal fervor. He brings up Rashta and observes that, in Luipt, the Imona (Queen) executes the Imote’s (King) mistresses. The empress knows that the laws are very different in their states, and harming Rashta wouldn’t bring her favorable results.
Heinrey walks up to her and clarifies that he will respect her wishes. He further says he only wanted their relationship to become public because she is his first real friend. Being a royal in the line of the throne, he is surrounded by wolves, not friends. Navier, having borne the weight of the crown from a young age, understands his disposition.
The Remarried Empress Chapter 15 ends with Rashta relishing the attention she is receiving, but her pleasure morphs into horror when she spots a familiar face in the crowd.
