In the previous chapters of Refund High School, we discovered how Reincarnation High was built, the life story of the Grim Reaper, and how he became the history teacher. We also covered the gardening task and its aftermath. The past few chapters perfectly depicted how the real world is connected to the afterlife and how our actions will always have consequences ( The Law of KARMA is Real).
Refund High School Chapter 65: Who Is Gang Ho?
Refund High School Chapter 65 begins with the students discussing whether the history teacher is the Grim Reaper. Amidst the classroom chaos, Dicarius enters and asks the students to be on their seats, and all their questions will be answered. The screening of Grim Reaper’s previous incident, which we discussed in Chapter 64’s review, changes everyone’s perspective of the history teacher. Although the students now find him a kind hero, he is in disbelief that Dicarius really revealed his past to everyone.
On the other hand, Gang Ho is acting sketchy and is trying to figure out if Mook is the sea serpent and whether the class knows about it. To find out this, he goes on to Aru, and she introduces him to Mook. She asks Mook, “You know him, right?” He replied with silence. And that indeed triggers the tiger’s (That can be such a good tongue twister ha-ha) ego. Gang Ho then recalls how he used to interact with Mook, and there were hints all over.
Later we see the past life of Gang Ho with his Tiger family and the reason behind the animosity with the sea serpent. The leader says, “They have long been our mortal enemies. Their numbers are growing as we speak! They look like humans but don’t let them fool you. If they have horns on their heads, they are sea serpent!” Suddenly, it hits Gang Ho, and Mook also has horns on his head. Refund High School Chapter 65 ends on this note, and, likely, there is now a beginning of another rivalry. So, let’s see where the story goes.
Refund High School Chapter 66: A Fluffy Infernal Spirit
After the revelation in Refund High School Chapter 65, we see the students harassing the history teacher to show them the scythe, to remove his glasses, and more. Mari, being annoyed, says, “Guys! There is a worm squirming underneath your feet.” And all the annoying students are gone. Sua thanks Mari for shooing them away but she replies, “Huh? I wasn’t helping you. Let’s just say that I don’t like owing people any favors!”
At night Aru notices how Mari is snoring worse than usual. In the middle of the night, Mari wakes up and starts walking. She then steps out of the dormitory and amidst all this, an infernal spirit is following her.
The next morning Sehui notices something white and fluffy beneath Mari’s. “What is this? I don’t know, it just jumped out of Mari’s pillow.” Talking to itself the fluffy thing says, “I am an infernal spirit that managed to escape from hell. I came to bring pain to all of you reincarnation high students who sit back all comfortably unlike us! But first I need to show them my dominance!” On the other hand, the girls think that it’s really something adorable and is a pet who is trying to have a conversation with them. Though they want to keep the fluffy as a pet, Aru realizes it’s against the rules.
Mari wakes up and says, “That’s weird. I don’t remember anything after I slept!” Sehui replies, “You must have sleepwalked and gone outside last night. Your feet are all covered in grass and mud.” There are distinct footsteps in the hallway, and the girls are now trying to stop the infernal spirit.

Refund High School Chapter 67: Searching the Fluffy Spirit
Refund High School Chapter 67 begins with Gang Ho doing his student council work and a small interaction with Mook. Meanwhile, the girls are running in their pajamas early in the morning to find the infernal spirit but they can’t match his speed with their sleepy dizzy heads. Then they decide to go in different directions which will help them to catch it in a zap. On the other hand, we have the infernal spirit running swiftly and suddenly he meets Dante. He asks whether he escaped from hell, and the spirit replies barely. Dante informs, “I have a job for you!”
Soon Aru catches the infernal spirit thinking it is a pet. Now Mook enters the scene and asks Aru what is she doing here in pajamas this early in the morning. The girls grab him and say we have come for a little jogging which is always good for health. Chapter 67 ends with Aru hugging the white plushie-looking spirit while the infernal spirit murmurs with evil eyes, “You can count on me, Dante!”
Refund High School Chapter 68: All Things Cloudy
Refund High School Chapter 68 begins with Aru holding the infernal spirit but the girls are wondering whether they should keep it. But eventually, all of them decide to do the opposite thing. The fluffy spirit’s puppy eyes were certainly convincing! In the next scene. the infernal spirit is all alone in their dormitory room and thinks of destroying the whole room. He jumps on the liquid colours, fills the walls with different colours, and also takes out the Yarn to tangle it.
As the day gets over, the girls come back to a surprise. Sua points towards the painted wall and says “He’s an artist!” On the other hand, Mari is happy to see a knitted yarn. She is impressed by the infernal spirit. Meanwhile, the infernal spirit is regretting it all.
Aru is now out on a walk with the infernal spirit thinking that it’s a cute white puppy. On her way, she encounters Jun, the student president. After witnessing the Infernal Spirit in the basket, he gives Aru an earful of how Aru should be more responsible as a council member. After a lot of requests, he says, “All right. I’ll let you off this time but be quick!”
That next day the girls are deciding a name for the infernal spirit. Sua says, “He is really soft and fluffy, so how about Fluffy?” The infernal spirit thinks to himself “Fluffy? You dare give me a puppy name!” Aru suggests, “What about cloudy? You know, ’cause he looks like a cloud!” And, they all agree. So now we have a new character in Refund High School, hey Cloudy!
Refund High School Chapter 69: Hodgepodge
It’s a new chapter and the start of a new event in the Refund High School. It’s day 44 for second graders, the day when they switch bodies. All the girls wake up and find their bodies have changed. Sehui goes to Mook (who is Gunn) and says, “It’s me Sehui. We woke up this morning and found out that all our bodies are changed! Do you know what’s going on?” The speaker announces, “Good morning second graders. Today is April fool’s 44 day! You will return to your original bodies after lunch time. So don’t worry too much!”
The next scene is even more confusing as we witness two Mooks together, one of which is actually Gunn but trapped in the body of Mook. On the other hand, Mook hasn’t been switched to anyone’s body which is kind of surprising. So now we have doppelgangers!! I can’t wait to read more, understand what actually is going on here, and find out how this goes.
Refund High School Chapter 70: More About Aru-Mook
Refund High School Chapter 70 begins with decoding the first confusion that we all had in the previous chapter. Not knowing that the students have switched bodies, Jun talked about Cloudy with Stretch (who was in Aru’s body). Now we know how Stretch discovered the pet thing. And, the school president upon meeting Aru (in Stretch’s body) reveals the whole story and apologizes.
The history teacher informed the students that since Mook was out of the dormitory, there was an issue with body-switching. In the next scene, with a massive stack of books Aru enters the library. When she was able to easily put back the books on the top shelf without any issues, she realised being tall is not that bad at all.
In the next scene, Aru and Gunn discuss about monsters. Aru expresses, “I used to feel that how Monsters are a different race from us humans, that is why I felt weird when I heard there was a human Monster couple in school. Gunn asks, “How do you feel about it now?” To which Aru replies, “I wouldn’t say totally okay with it, but a little bit?” It’s finally lunch time and Aru is back as her real self. However, to her surprise, Gunn is still in Mook’s body. Then she realizes it was Mook all along. Refund High School Chapter 70 ends on a sweet note, with Mook smiling about Aru’s changed opinion regarding monsters.

We can witness the beginning of the Aru-Mook bond in the above-reviewed chapters. I like how the creator has depicted each character uniquely and included a chapter about how everyone is special and unique! This Manhwa teaches us so many things in bits and pieces that we might not even notice. So, let’s see, what the next chapters contain and how they will match up the standard that the Refund High School webtoon has set.
