My Lucky Strike Chapter 1: Blushing Jackets & Red-Lipped Chaos

Siru and Gibaek(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)
Siru and Gibaek(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 1 starts with a mysterious event, but before the drama kicks in, we are introduced to Siru Gong, a 23-year-old, tall, athletic industrial design student. She is off to collect windbreakers for her class and arrives early, assisting another girl, Siho, with heavy boxes. Siho flatters her height, and Siru’s athletic background makes it a breeze.

The weird thing is that when they open the boxes and find that there are pink jackets inside instead of the black ones they were expecting. Everyone’s confused and upset. Just then, Gibaek Seol, a charming 24-year-old in the same program, comes up behind Siru to ask what’s the matter. Siho says the vendor won’t give a refund because the order was “right.” Gibaek, being his usual troublemaker self, says the pink suits them — and somehow manages to convince the class it’s not a complete disaster.

As Siru distributes the jackets, she runs into Cheong Jo, another classmate. He says the jacket is “cute” and asks her why she is working so hard when she’s not even the rep. Gibaek then invites them to dinner, but Cheong refuses, saying he has work. Siru, half-exasperated and half-entertained, hands Siho the remaining jackets and heads over to him.

Messy Encounters

Cut to three minutes before the event: a drunk Siru is teasing a guy who asks if he likes tall girls. She asks him if he would date her and then kisses him.

Ten hours later, she wakes up late, sees red smudges around her lips, and reads a note: “I’ll catch you later.” At school, she dawdles outside the door of her class until Cheong Jo lets her in. Inside, Gibaek has red lips as well. Siru’s eyes widen. Did she kiss him last night? My Lucky Strike Chapter 1 ends on a kiss, a mystery, and a lot of red flags—literally.

Chapter 2: Lipsticks, Punchlines & Project Perils

Gibaek and Cheong
Gibaek and Cheong

My Lucky Strike Chapter 2 starts with Siru trying to put together the chaotic mess that was last night. She blocks Gukhwa, another classmate who was present, looking for answers. He nonchalantly drops a bombshell—she got way too drunk and might have decked Gibaek when she was intoxicated. Furious, she covers his mouth before he can speak more. Of course, just then, someone walks in and the two are arguing like siblings in front of the class.

Later, when Siru is still lost in thought about that mysterious kiss, the professor assigns a group project. The mission: build 3D objects and work in teams. Easy, right? Siru silently hopes not to get matched with Gibaek. But the universe? It’s a prankster.

Team 3 include Siru, Gukhwa, Gibaek, Siho… and Cheong Jo. Yes, all suspects from her red-lipped evening. As if that wasn’t enough, she sees that Cheong also has a suspicious cut on his lip. Before she can even process, Gukhwa teases that people might think it’s from kissing Gibaek. Instant tension, maximum awkwardness.

The group tries to decide on a meeting day, and someone proposes Monday. And then, Gibaek nonchalantly says, “Siru, we have to talk.” Cue panic. Siru’s phone rings conveniently, and she makes a run for it. Gibaek, not giving up, runs after her like it’s a rom-com scene gone wrong.

Meanwhile, Gukhwa hints at a favor Cheong asked of him last night. What favor? Who kissed whom? Who got punched? Nobody knows—especially not Siru.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 2 wraps up with a runaway heroine, a flirtatious mystery, and far too many red lips in one project group.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 3: Soju, Spoilers & Sudden Realizations

Siru and the mysterious guy(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)
Siru and the mysterious guy(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 3 starts with Siru receiving a call from her best friend, in search of some normalcy. The chat begins with gossip and small talk about work until Siru suddenly blows things wide open – she kissed someone last night. Her friend gasps immediately, asking, “Was it your crush, Gibaek?” Siru, bewildered and humiliated, agrees that it could be… the problem is that if he hadn’t dumped her first, she hadn’t been dumped at all.

Flashback to 4.5 hours before the accident: Siru and Gibaek are walking to dinner, discussing the whole pink jacket drama. Gibaek says he protected the delivery so that it won’t go out of hand, and Siho might have stepped down if she were blamed for the refund. Siru, moved, understands that his gentle thoughtfulness was what made her fall for him.

The mood then promptly takes a turn for the worse at dinner with pals. Gibaek nonchalantly mentions that he went on a blind date recently—just no luck, he’s not into tall girls or people in the same school. Ouch. Siru’s appetite vanishes quicker than her hopes. What she thought was playful flirting between friends is now emotional dodgeball. Feeling done in, she asks Gukhwa for soju, the drink of the broken-hearted.

Back in the present, she tells her friend about the whole sob story over the phone, from the uncomfortable dinner to her drunken, make-out debacle. Her friend attempts to calm her down, telling her that Gibaek never said no to her… right before Gibaek himself pops up behind her.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 3 concludes with a stunned Siru, a very awkward silence, and a crush that refuses to back down, even with soju involved.

Chapter 4: Red Lips, Rolled Eyes & A Half Spilled Confession

Siru and Gibaek
Siru and Gibaek

My Lucky Strike Chapter 4 starts with Gibaek looking all over for Siru, after her dramatic escape. He even stops some girls around, asking if they’ve seen her. The girls, obviously smitten with his looks, get a little swoony and plan to eavesdrop on the “ juicy convo” that’s sure to go down. But Gibaek figures it out and tells them to get out of here, much to their dismay.

And then he sees Siru is still on a call. He doesn’t waste any time, he jumps right in: “Did you leave because of last night?” Siru, flustered, says he should be saying sorry. But surprisingly, Gibaek beats her to it. He says sorry for what he said over dinner, admitting he spoke so openly because he views her as a guy friend. Oof.

Then comes the real kicker. He whispers sweetly, “Is it true?” You had a crush on me? Siru wishes the ground could swallow her up whole. Gibaek says he was a jerk and then, tapping his red, puffy lips, jokes they still hurt from that night. Embarrassed, Siru begins to bang her forehead into the wall in remorse. Gibaek chuckles and holds out his hand like a peace sign.

And now, the gossip girls are still abuzz, and now they’re speculating about that romantic tension explosion they just watched. Just then, Cheong Jo saunters past, on the phone. He is wondering why “she” isn’t returning his call – especially, he notes, since she told him to call. Wait… who is she?

With a little bit of bruised egos—and a girl that might just switch the whole story, My Lucky Strike Chapter 4 wraps with a confession.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 5: Raindrops, Rejections & Running Shoes

Siru and Gibaek(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)
Siru and Gibaek(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 5 starts with Gibaek softly saying to Siru that he forgives her, and then awkwardly asks for forgiveness back. He says she’s been a big part of his life, especially since he’s returned to school after serving in the military. But before she can do anything with that glimmer of hope, the truth hits—this is his nice way of telling her that he’s officially rejecting her.

Siru is stunned and dejected, only nodding as he tells her he’ll forget the confession ever happened. Her eyes mist over at the same moment the skies – exactly – come to match her mood – it begins to rain. Gibaek attempts to cover her with his hand, but Siru isn’t having it. She snags her bag and takes off like she’s running from every terrible thing that’s happened all day.

On the other hand, Cheong Jo is still in the middle of a phone call, explaining he’s not angry and even apologizing for something that happened yesterday. As he finishes, Siru zooms past him like a sobbing bullet and does a double-take—how can she be running that fast?

Then backtrack to Siru, she’s wet and falling apart emotionally, replaying every agonizing moment with Gibaek. From their forced dinner to the soft refusal, she knows her feelings were never important to him. Just then, her phone buzzes. It’s a message from Gukhwa: “Sorry, couldn’t help last night. I told Cheong to take you home and take care of you.”

Cue dramatic realization. Cheong. That Cheong. With heartbreak in the rain, a text that turns the whole story on its head, and a sudden shift in the story’s compass, towards someone entirely unexpected, ending My Lucky Strike Chapter 5.

Chapter 6: Macarons, Misunderstandings & A Memory Unsealed

Siru and Cheong
Siru and Cheong

My Lucky Strike Chapter 6 opens with Siru in her house with a cold and a broken heart, two days after her dramatic rain-soaked run. All the confusing moments from “that night” and Gibaek’s accidental rejection keep haunting her mind. Determined to avoid even more heartache, she’s kept her phone switched off, fearing it might ring. But when she

Turn it on? No texts from Gibaek. Just Gukhwa’s earlier message saying it was Cheong who looked after her that night.Shocked?

Back at school, still reliving every Gibaek minute ever, Siru gets freaked out when he sneaks up on her. On instinct, she whips him right across the face before making a run for it, leaving a stunned Gibaek to ponder if he looks that slappable, and whether her feelings for him were real in the first place. Nearby students snicker as he thinks about whether he’s just a walking chaos magnet.

Meanwhile, Gukhwa sends Siru an SMS saying he’s skipping class and asks him to sign his attendance sheet. As she is considering this small favor, she knocks into Cheong. He randomly hands her a macaron (because who doesn’t need a little sugar during a breakdown?) and since her usual spot is empty, they end up sitting together.

Cheong catches her down mood and asks if it’s because of Gibaek—or, rather, last Thursday night. Starts choking on the macaron in shock, Siru. He gives her his drink and says cheekily, “It’s alright to share—we’ve kissed before, don’t you remember?”

With Siru lost for words, her memory all over the place, and a mystery kiss finally beginning to fall into place, ending My Lucky Strike Chapter 6.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 7: Kisses, Confessions & Confusion

Siru and Cheong(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)
Siru and Cheong(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 7 opens up with Siru paralysed after Cheong just dropped the bomb shell – they kissed! Still reeling from the news, she catches up with Cheong before their group meeting, wanting to get answers. She wants to know why he hadn’t said anything sooner. Cheong, very even-keel, says she just kept running away and hiding from him, so he did not get the chance to talk. It was Cheong, and not Gibaek, she kissed that night — and an even bigger twist? He rips off his band-aid to show a bite mark. Siru had bitten him on the kiss!

You understand the panic, Siru returns the only way she can—punches Cheong. Just that second, the rest of Group 3 is thinking about the ruckus they heard. Gibaek opens the door to find Cheong clutching his cheek and Siru crying. Anxious, Gibaek asks her why she’s crying. However, Siru runs out once again, overwhelmed and mortified. Cheong, unbothered, lets Gibaek know he spilled the beans about that night and asks Gibaek did the same. Gibaek confirms but says Siru has no memory of anything. Cheong coolly says it’s unfair to those of us who do remember.

Siru bursts off again, her heart racing & mind turning. It’s all too much emotionally – but then, with a sudden surprise of bravery, she marches right back into the mock classroom, ready to take whatever awkwardness follows.

As Group 3 starts working, the atmosphere is full of drama, misconceptions, and leftover feelings. My Lucky Strike Chapter 7 leaves emotions at an all-time high, and Siru decides to fight instead of running.

Chapter 8: Rice Cakes and Red Flags

Siru, Cheong and Gbaek
Siru, Cheong, and Gbaek

My Lucky Strike Chapter 4 begins with Group 3 offering what might be their first more-or-less steady, seeming 3D project work, and air-tight with conflicts and untold drama. When the situation is becoming excruciatingly uncomfortable, Gukhwa arrives late, fashionably late, owing to family issues. Feeling the weird vibe in the room, he attempts to cheer up his mood by offering Siru a rice cake. But Siru, still salty and mentally losing it, refuses the snack as if it just doused her with drops of cold water.

Cheong and Gibaek, possibly deciding to maneuver focus, possibly starving—request rice cakes also. Playing the biggest drama queen, Siru goes around and takes a piece animatedly. Everyone puts on their inimitable pink jackets, which only makes the whole compromised atmosphere even more cringey, like all of them are one big, fumbling, emotionally scarred super-hero posse.

They start, but it’s not going well for them. It’s all being rather knobby, complicated and testing, and time-wasting sort of project. As frustration grows, Gukhwa and Siho slip out for a drink, leaving behind a volatile three-person gang: Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek.

At last, a student shows up, yanking Gibaek off to do some work business thing. Gibaek is gone, and with no one else to play decoy, Siru goes for Cheong. Her mind’s made up—she warns him she has something to say. You can sense the weight of emotion that’s about to be spilled, and it’s clear nothing simple or light is going to get said.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 8 ends with Siru facing her emotions at last, the hangover of unresolved tension stretching the final sentence.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 9: Drunken Confessions and Flying Punches

Siru and Cheong(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)
Siru and Cheong(My Lucky Strike Chapter 1-10)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 9 with Siru finally mustering the nerve to confront Cheong and apologizing for that unasked-for punch she threw at him. She acknowledges she has no memory of that night—the infamous blackout haze—and kindly begs Cheong to fill in the blanks of the tea she never drank.

Cheong nods and reverses time to the key moment: around an hour before the incident. He’d phoned Mijeol, obviously waiting for someone or something, only to be told he’d have to wait another hour. However, before he could start making any arrangements, Gukhwa appeared and handed him a mission: take care of Siru.

Cheong, maybe hesitantly but responsibly, took up the job. And when did he find Siru? She was far gone into the ‘everything is funny and none of it is real’ drunk phase—completely blind. Once paid and assured she was on her way home, the two of them began walking down the street.

But plot twist—Siru saw Gibaek catching up with some seniors down ahead. In her drunken, emotional tempest, she charged at him… and hit him right in the face. Yeah. Right there. In public. In front of seniors. No filter, no care—just straight up crazy energy. Today, Siru listens to this confession in horror, no doubt her soul having left her body due to secondhand embarrassment.

Cheong, straight-faced, says, “That was just the beginning.” My Lucky Strike Chapter 9 concludes with Siru wishing she could travel through time or at least fall through the ground, as her drunken rampage starts to fall apart thread by thread.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 10: Kisses, Confessions, and Lip Bites

Siru and Cheong
Siru and Cheong

My Lucky Strike Chapter 10 with Cheong continuing his sordid story of Siru’s notorious drunken night, and the story keeps getting crazier. Immediately following that, she punched Gibaek in the face like a true rom-com hero gone wild. Cheong had to step in and put the brakes on her before she could cause even more destruction. Gibaek looked equally gobsmacked. Cheong, the night’s MVP, attempted to soothe the crowd, saying Siru was just… ridiculously drunk. Understatement of the year.

Cheong asked Gibaek to help bring back the very uncooperative Siru home. The two boys helped to lift her—Siru kicking her legs out like a cartoon character having a fit. Along the way, she stared at Gibaek dead serious and asked if 5 feet 7 inches was too tall for his type. Before anyone could prepare for impact, she blurted out that she had a crush on him.

Then Gibaek got a phone call and had to go. Cheong, left to play knight in tarnished armor, took Siru the rest of the way. When they arrived at her building, she fretted that he might catch a cold and asked him to wear a jacket. Sweet, right? But then she yanked him in for a kiss—yes, that kiss—and nipped his lip with a little spicy bite while saying he must not be into tall women. With a dramatic farewell, she disappeared into her building, leaving Cheong completely bewildered.

Now, Cheong finishes his story, Siru, embarrassed and barely keeping it together, replies, “You call that a kiss?” My Lucky Strike Chapter 10 wraps up with the embarrassment & hilarity lines becoming more and more blurred than anything.
