One night, when she drunkenly ends up on the beach with Seok-Ho… will they return home safely? Let’s dive into My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 16-18 to find out!
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 16: Swept Away

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 16 begins as a huge wave crashes into Seok-Ho, sweeping him off balance and knocking him underwater. Subconsciously, he notes Cho-Eun’s distant cries before the current sweeps him and his consciousness away.
However, contrary to Seok-Ho’s poorly formed opinion, Cho-Eu was not helplessly shouting after him. A few splashes later, she’d hauled an unconscious Seok-Ho out of the depths and swam him to shore. On the beach, determined to rescue him, she aggressively gives him chest compressions. When it doesn’t work, Cho-Eun begins panicking. She starts to blame herself for putting Seok-Ho in this situation (asking him to walk along the shore with her) and slowly sinks into a rabbit hole of guilt.
‘Maybe it was too much to ask for an ordinary life,’ she thinks miserably. Sobbing, Cho-Eun pleads with Seok-Ho to open his eyes, promising to buy him a hundred new phones. In a last-ditch attempt to wake him up, she brings her mouth to his.
Miraculously, Seok-Ho coughs and sits up. In bewilderment, he notices the tears streaming down Cho-Eun’s face as she profusely apologizes to him. He realizes, with shock, that he’d been saved by ‘Hit-and-Run’. ‘She’s the one crying, so why is my heart the one that’s hurting?’ he wonders.
Yuhyeon Offers to Buy Lunch
The next morning, rumours about an unknown ‘drunk’ student taking a midnight plunge into the ocean swirl around. Wonyeong, the French department student rep, gets onto his bus. Looking over his shoulder briefly, he thinks about how he hadn’t seen Cho-Eun once after the incident. Although he doesn’t know her name, he remains confident that she’ll come to find him sooner or later.
During the bus trip back home, the college students chatter nineteen to the dozen. However, Cho-Eun, Miro, and Seok-Ho sit in absolute silence.
When they reach campus, Yuhyeon, the teaching assistant, eagerly greets the students (well, specifically, just Cho-Eun). He offers to buy her lunch, since it’s his job to take care of his students, but postpones the outing after realizing she’d caught a cold. My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 16 concludes as Yuhyeon makes her promise to let him take her out soon.
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 17: Things Look Up (But Then Midterms)

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 17 begins as Cho-Eun and Seok-Ho return home to their respective clans. Cho-Eun’s optimistic outlook on the eventful college trip is juxtaposed with Seok-Ho’s negative standpoint. While she desires to foster a better friendship with Seok-Ho, he resolves to keep his distance from her.
Although Seok-Ho avoids her, in the next few days at college, Cho-Eun seems to gain a lot more positive popularity. After being ‘the life of the party’ during the trip, Cho-Eun had made a considerable number of new friends. She’d become close to Ji-Eun (the girl she’d heroically downed a mug of beer for) and had become part of a group chat with the girls from the shared room.
On a bright and sunny day, Cho-Eun finally accompanies Yuhyeon for lunch. Sitting across from someone other than her bodyguards, she wholly enjoys the new experience. Yuhyeon watches her closely, wondering how she’d react once learning of their pre-decided engagement. He, understanding that things would become tense and awkward, doesn’t seem too thrilled about the revelation. He takes her on a stroll through the cherry blossoms but refrains from telling her. They part ways, and Cho-Eun promises to pay next time.
However, after all the trips, classes, and college fun… what should come next but the midterms? With disbelief, Cho-Eun wonders how time had passed so quickly. How were the exams here already? She balls up her fists and exclaims in frustration, much to the disturbance of Byeongmok, who studies beside her.
Meanwhile, a black-clothed man arrives outside Cho-Eun’s college. Narrowing his eyes, he vows to take Hongsal’s granddaughter as his hostage, concluding My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 17.
My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 18: Kidnapped?!

My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 18 begins as Cho-Eun stares out her classroom window at the gorgeous cherry blossoms. Feeling incredibly tired, she longs for a quick catnap. If only she could escape class and catch a wink. But wait- what’s stopping her? Suddenly, Cho-Eun realizes that she could she could sneak away for a half hour and return without consequence.
However, when she tries to tiptoe into the department lounge, she runs into Miro. Flustered, Cho-Eun pretends to head into the bathroom instead and misses her chance to sleep. As he watches Cho-Eun scurry away, Miro receives a text from the Hongsal clan chairman himself.
Later, Cho-Eun eats lunch with her friends in a hidden spot on campus. The girls stress over their mid-terms and decide to hold an all-night study session at college. Cho-Eun becomes excited at the prospect (she’d always wanted to stay overnight on campus), and the girls tease her for her unconventional aspirations.
Suspicious Activity
Meanwhile, at the Hongsal Clan, Miro sits in front of Mr. Hong. His phone buzzes with a call from Cho-Eun, and Mr. Hong asks him to answer it. But Miro dismisses the call, knowing that she would’ve called about the group project. The two men continue with their conversation about the ‘suspicious activity’ Mr. Hong had mentioned to him. Although Miro promises to deal with ‘the white tiger cub’ (Seok-Ho, heir to the White Tiger clan), Mr. Hong explicitly orders to leave Seok-Ho alone.
An injured agent of the rival Blue Tiger clan had disappeared on the way to a hospital. He’d still stayed in the area- and whether he’d been hired or was acting on his own grudges- the agent would surely target the Hongsal clan. Therefore, Mr. Hong commands Miro to keep a close watch on Cho-Eun. He reminds him not to spy on the White Tigers, to let his granddaughter navigate college life on her own, and to keep his distance. “Don’t get involved,” he orders.
As dusk falls, Cho-Eun slumps in her chair at the library. She furiously works on her laptop, trying to finish the group project before her friends arrive for a study session. She worriedly notes that Miro hadn’t replied to her messages and texts him once again. It soon becomes dark out, and Cho-Eun leaves the library for a quick, unhealthy snack.
Unbeknownst to her, a black-clothed man hides behind a wall along her route. He intercepts her from behind, taking her by surprise, and immediately covers her nose and mouth with a cloth, concluding My Clueless Love Diary Chapter 18.
