Love Bites Chapter 17 continues the slow-burn chaos of a supernatural love you didn’t know you needed. This webtoon blends the angst of teens, the allure of forbidden romance, and the politics of the paranormal with just enough sass and feels. It follows Kieran, a miserable vampire who is simply attempting to get through high school without incinerating anything (or anyone) in his path—until Mason, an arrogant, confusingly charming, and dashing werewolf, comes along and turns his world inside out. (Quite literally!)
Throw in Cella, their shared friend, and the emotional support of Kieran, and you have tension, secrets, and a lot of heartache. With relationships changing and emotions getting knotted, the readers are given a ride with flirty banter, steamy scenes, and emotional landmines. Love Bites Chapter 17 is where Kieran realizes he is jealous and can’t pretend that he didn’t kiss Mason. Unless vampires and werewolves kill one another, their emotions could do the trick.
Love Bites Chapter 17: Fake Dates & Real Feelings

Love Bites Chapter 17 opens with Kieran having his jaw on the floor metaphorically yet again. After the cheeky set-up by Mason, Cella bursts out laughing and yelling, “Kieran is gay!” Mason is smiling, playing along with the joke, explaining that, of course, Kieran is straight, which, of course, means that he should be more than happy to go out on a date. Like the one Mason has set up with Kieran. Cue: obvious panic! Mason is very pleased to report that he has set up Kieran with Maria Ramos—a sweet, stylish cheerleader who has a heart of gold and, it seems, a bit of a crush on Kieran. Cella is all in and gives her bestie the best-friend nod. Cornered and emotionally out of control, Kieran reluctantly agrees. Only a single date to pay back Cella, and as a diversion from Mason. To pretend!!
Date And Halloween Plans

It is a small Italian restaurant where the double date starts on Tuesday night. Mason and Cella are radiating as a couple, and Kieran is struggling to be normal with Maria. And honestly? Maria’s great. She refers to him as a gentleman, tells him stories, and even tells him how shocked she was when Mason said Kieran liked her. Kieran is anxious, and he nervously smiles and nods his head. However, he is a mess inside. Then Maria just casually mentions the idea that they all should go to the Blake Halloween party as a couple in matching costumes. Matching. Costumes. As. Couples.
For Kieran, this was meant to be a one-time thing. Now he is getting sucked into the high school variation of coupledom cosplay. Cella is evidently thrilled, and Mason is watching him with his insufferable, impenetrable smirk. Stuck, Kieran nods his head, believing Maria and Cella to both be better off, better than Mason, at least, and certainly than him. He is fed up with acting; he is fed up with the need to smile when Mason and Cella are more of a real couple than ever. Kieran is unable to fake it any longer.
Lies And Bathroom Confessions

Kieran rises and runs to the bathroom. Fifteen minutes later. He is submerged in doubt when he looks at himself in the mirror. He wonders why Mason arranged this date. Is it to punish him? To make him jealous? To prove something? Only Mason knows. And then the actual question creeps into his mind. He wonders, “Do I want to kiss him or bite him?” (Maybe both, Keiran.) But above all, Kieran wants Mason to quit making him lie to Cella, to Maria, and most of all, to himself.
Suddenly, the door of the bathroom opens, and Mason enters, leaning lazily against the wall as though this were his bathroom. “Why are you hiding in here?” he asks, not in the least perturbed. Kieran freezes. Why does Mason always seem to come along when he is at his lowest? The atmosphere gets tense. The emotions of Kieran, who is already at the boiling point, are, without a doubt, again about to erupt.
Love Bites Chapter 17 ends with Kieran standing face-to-face with the one boy he’s desperately trying not to want. But Mason is not going to let him off quite so easily.
What Happened So Far?
Kieran is a brooding vampire who is just trying to keep his head down, but everything is turned upside down when a charming and frustrating werewolf named Mason transfers to his school. Between almost-fights, unexpected kisses, and a mystery that is building up, their relationship grows in all the wrong (and right) directions. Kieran struggles with emotions that he has never experienced. He does not simply want to have Mason blood. In the meantime, Cella, the long-time best friend of Kieran, finds herself in between. She falls in love with Mason unintentionally.
With the truth of their supernatural natures seeping out and the old, deep-seated trauma of the murder of Kieran’s mother by werewolves, the three characters are forced to deal with trust, jealousy, and emotional landmines. The conflict between Kieran and Mason is now slowly getting harder to overlook. They are attracted to one another but are always in conflict, particularly since that kiss. In Love Bites, emotions are dirty, secrets are fatal, and no one is going to come out of this emotionally unscathed.
