I Love Yoo Chapter 43 begins with Yoo and Yeong-Gi meeting at her workplace MacD. Seeing her taking orders, he gets shocked and dodges her question.

During the conversation, Yeong-Gi asks if Yoo has checked the status of her job application online. “Can you do that?” she asked. Yeong-Gi explains that sometimes calls can be delayed, so checking online can help. However, Yoo pushes him on his order until he gets frustrated; she finally yells at him for not ordering anything. At that point, the boss steps in, reminding her to remain professional, causing Yoo to ask him again, this time more politely, “What do you want to eat?”. Later, they leave together to grab a bite.

As the chapter progresses, we see Yoo taking a break, trying to figure out the status of her job application. Suddenly, her boss interrupts and indicates that someone wants to see her. Curious and somewhat surprised, Yoo realizes that it was Yeong-Gi who brought her the burger. “Don’t you have a girlfriend?”  Why are you doing this?” she asks. Yeong-Gi replies, “I just want to be a proper friend.” However, her question hurts, and he leaves. “Where are you going?” she asked. Yoo calls back, surprised by her reaction.

I Love Yoo Chapter 43 ends with Yeong-Gi asking the manager about the status of Yoo’s application. The manager tells him she doesn’t have an application, leaving them both confused. “Kousuke, you b@$#*d!” An angry Yeong-gi shouts, realizing that Kousuke is behind this.

Chapter 44: Yeong-Gi Confronts Kousuke

I Love Yoo Chapter 44 begins with a call from Kousuke’s mother, reminding him, “Have you been on your way yet? You don’t want to be late now.” He replies, “Yes, Mom, I just have a job to finish. Once I’m done, I’ll be on my way.”

Suddenly, there is a loud knock on Kousuke’s door. Realizing who it is, he exclaims, “I know it’s you, Yeong-Gi. Tell me, what do you want? Didn’t I tell you to go home first?” Visibly disappointed, Yeong-Gi walks in, saying he needs to talk. “I didn’t go home because my boss, who is also an @***, told me to go home,” he adds sarcastically.

Yeong-Gi confronts Kousuke about Yoo’s job application, and Kousuke replies with a playful face, “I expected this. Here you are, still working hard as usual.” He further makes derogatory remarks about Shin-Ae, which angers Yeong-Gi. Instead of fighting back, he decides to leave, slamming the door behind him.

I Love Yoo Chapter 44 ends with Yeong-Gi sitting alone on a bench in the cool night air on Hirahara Street. When Yoo leaves after work, she sees him and feels guilty, wondering if he was hurt by what she said earlier. Gathering her courage, she approaches him, and Yeong-Gi asks if she’d like to have sushi with him. Yoo is about to deny when she sees her phone light up with more unwanted calls and texts from her father, including a worried message: “Yoo, where are you?”.

I Love Yoo Chapter 45 begins with a phone call from Yoo’s father, who asks, “Where are you?”. Yeong-Gi overhears all the conversations between Yoo and her father and realizes that her father doesn’t know anything about her work. “That’s why she didn’t come with me for sushi,” he says to himself.

When Yoo finishes her call, Yeong-Gi says, “First the job application, and then the phone call…” “Excuse me?” Yoo replies. She’s a little confused. “Sorry, I didn’t hear,” Yeong-Gi quickly adds. He tries to tell her the truth about her job application, but he hesitates and finally says, “It was submitted, reviewed, but then deleted due to some technical issues.” Yoo picks up the letter and says, “You just said it’s been reviewed. And I know… I’m not good enough for you guys.” Yeong-Gi says, trying to comfort her, “You are one of the strongest people I know.” His words bring a small smile to Yoo’s face, and she finally leaves.

I Love Yoo Chapter 45 ends when she comes home and finds her father drinking. He confronts her and asks, “Where have you been?”. Yoo tells him that she is in the library and about to head back to her room to change, but her father stops her. He questions her about not being in school for two days. This leads to Yoo voicing her frustration, asking why he didn’t share the information, and bringing up that their landlord is asking for rent. She also calls her father drunk. “What are you talking about?” his father replies defensively.

Chapter 46: I am Sorry!

I Love Yoo Chapter 46 begins with an intense conversation with Yoo and her father. “Do you think I have a drinking problem?” her father asks her, holding the bottle. Yoo, feeling guilty for bringing it up, quickly replies, “No, I didn’t mean it”. Seeing the bag in his hand, his father condescends, “Come here.” He hugs her gently and reassures her, “Honey, it’s okay. It was just a long day at work. By morning, everything will be fine. Now, go to bed.”

The scene then shifts to Shin-ae lying in bed, thinking deeply about her life. “Is everything okay?” Suddenly, her phone carries a message from Yeong-Gi. Suddenly, she hears a commotion coming from the kitchen and sees her father lying on the floor. She tries to wake him up, encouraging him to go to bed.

The action shifts to Kousuke’s office, where Megan calls and texts him to get his attention. We learn that Megan is not her sister, as some think, but her sister’s best friend, whom she admires. A furious Kousuke ignores her calls and messages but continues to call numbers and send text messages.

As he tries to focus his thoughts, his manager, Jayce, approaches to discuss a project. Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Hirahara arrives with an assignment she wants Kousuke to complete. Frustrated, Kousuke tries to explain to his mother that he can’t handle Megan’s constant messages and attention. The text messages on her phone don’t seem to bother Mrs. Hirahara, making Kousuke even angrier.

I Love Yoo Chapter 47 begins with Yeong-Gi having breakfast at his grandparents’ house. His grandfather, who is getting ready to leave, asks, “I’m heading to the market now. Do you want me to pick you up something?” Very tired, Yeong-Gi replies that he’s okay. Now, his grandfather wants him to have a nice day of work at the office.

The scene moves to Kousuke’s office, where Kousuke’s mother is texting Shin-ae. It turns out he uses Kousuke’s phone, and in the draft, he had left an unsent message to Shin-ae saying, “You owe me my support.” Unaware of this, her mother sends her message to Shin-ae. Meanwhile, Kousuke enters the room, surprised to see his mother holding her phone. “I’ll buy you a cake,” she says casually, leaving him somewhat confused by his sudden love and involvement.

Meanwhile, Yeong-Gi arrives at the office. Kousuke’s manager is surprised to see him and asks, “Shouldn’t you quit this job?” “No, I’m still working here,” Yeong-Gi assures him. Soon after, Kousuke joins them, and Yeong-Gi declares, “I want to be an entrepreneur, so I’m here to work”. Kousuke, on the other hand, makes a stern point: “Really? You never worry about that, even about a friend.” The tension between the two is palpable as they stand, both dealing with their own unresolved issues.

In the next scene, we see Yoo on a bus when she suddenly receives a message informing her of a job interview she has to attend at the office. She’s surprised and worried but determined to prepare for the occasion. I Love Yoo Chapter 47 ends with Yoo arriving at the office and mentally preparing for her interview. When she enters, she’s shocked to find that the person she’s interviewing will be none other than Sang-Chul.

Chapter 48: I Got the Job?

I Love Yoo chapter 48 begins with a simple meeting between Yoo and Sang-Chul. The room is barely lit, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. “Will it always be this dark?” Yoo asks, obviously uncomfortable. Does she have a problem?” Sang-Chul replies dismissively. He proceeds to ask the usual corporate interview questions, but his demeanor is serious and professional. Yoo finds it challenging to answer confidently and feels his sour nature may affect her chances of cementing the situation.

To her surprise, Sang-Chul ends the interview by saying he has been hired as an assistant for $25 an hour. He hands her a check for $6,000, reportedly as an advance or starting salary. Distraught, Yoo barely has time to process what’s happening before Sang-Chul walks out, leaving him with relief and puzzlement.

As Sang-Chul leaves, Ms. Hirahara enters the room and congratulates Yoo on getting the job. Stunned, she struggles to understand how fast things have happened. Mrs. Hirahara takes a moment to apologize for any discomfort Yoo may have felt during their previous meetings and tries to ease any lingering tension.

I Love Yoo chapter 48 ends with the Hirahara family preparing for an upcoming social event. Kousuke’s mother teasingly remarks, “You’ll be quite the charmer tonight,” hinting that he’ll likely attract attention from the ladies. She also mentioned that she had arranged a date for him to attend the event. Kousuke, immediately suspicious, responds, “If it’s Megan, I’m out.” His mother assures him, “No, honey, just get in the car, and you’ll see.” Despite his initial reluctance, Kousuke eventually joins them, albeit with lingering doubts.
