Previously we saw Eve’s struggles, insecurities and how she became a Ghost singer. In Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 9-16, Eve and Dae talk for the first time and even form a special bond. They both meet not only in the dream but also in real life. Let’s find out how these characters deal with each other and help each other to overcome their problems. Their First Meeting In Person
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 9: The Deal
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 9 opens with Eve asking Daemon to introduce himself because she has seen him twice in her dream. She has been trying to figure out whether he is a demon, an elf or a troll. Daemon introduces himself as a dream eater to her and also introduces Tapi as his entourage. Detective Eve concludes the connection between her good sleep and Dae. He realizes that they both have the same feelings after they meet. She suddenly asks Dae whether she will get to see him more often. Dae blushes and answers her by saying that he does not know as he consumes a lot of people’s dreams on a daily basis. Again, Detective Eve concludes that his appearance thrice is because he has benefits. Dae finds himself caught. He breaks his rules and shakes hands with Eve, making a deal.
Chapter 10: Distance
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 10 opens with Eve waking up feeling energetic. She still thinks that Dae is just an imagination in her dream and not something real dream eater. On the other hand, he is confused about his feelings about making a deal with Eve. In one way, it’s a good deal for him because he would not be tired in the morning, but he is still irritated. He decided not to attach too much to her.
In the next scene, Cherri and Eve are hanging out after the first music video blew up. Eve mentioned to her that she submitted two resumes that morning. Cherri worriedly asked her whether her doing her job would affect the recording session. A group of Cherri’s fans came out of nowhere. At that moment, Mr. Lee asks her to move aside. He asks Eve to keep a low profile as Cherri’s fame is rising. Eve being beside her will make people suspect. He even orders her to erase all her social media uploads. And reminds her that she has already signed the contract. Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 10 ends with her having no right over her own voice.

Chapter 11: Recluse
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 11 opens with Eve comparing her life with Little Mermaid. Little Mermaid gives her voice to the witches to stay with her prince charming, but here, Eve gives her voice to get isolated from the world. After her conversation with Mr. Lee, she gets annoyed, frustrated, and even sad. She asks herself whether she is doing the right thing and becomes quiet. The scene shifts to Dae hanging out with his roommates. Alex asks Dae when he is going to talk to his brother Jae. Dae says that he already knows what he is going to say. He starts imitating his nagging brother. When Dae manifests his dream eater form at night, he gets a message from his brother, and it is none other than Mr. Lee, ending Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 11.
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 12: Black and White Dreams
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 12 opens with Dae’s childhood, where he shares his experience of his dream eater form with his brother. But his brother does not believe him and scares him that if he is baffled, no one will be friends with him and ignore him. This makes Dae sad and shed tears. When Dae was young, he even ate his brother’s dream. But the strange thing was his dreams were always black and white. The scariest ones he had ever seen. From then on, he never consumed Jae’s dreams. The scene shifts back to the present, where Dae is waiting for Eve to sleep. She shows no signs of sleeping. After waiting for around an hour, she finally sleeps, and Dae starts doing his job as a dream eater, concluding Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 12.
Chapter 13: Not Your Friend
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 13 opens with Eve in her nightmare on a boat surrounded by water. She tried to scream for help, but no sound came out of her mouth. Similar to Little Mermaid, she feels lonely but gets spooked out by the sudden appearance of Dae and falls into the ocean. When she sees him, she feels calm and even regains her voice.
Tapi gets friendly with Eve, but Dae gets annoyed and tells her that he is not interested in getting acquainted but in eating her dreams. Hearing this, she teases him by calling him weird names. He asks her to stop and introduces himself as “N”, then teases her that he will now have access to all her secrets and insecurities and gives her some weird situations. Eve questions him why he saved her from the nightmare earlier, and with this, the day breaks.
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 14: Middle Man
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 14 opens with Eve recording music, and after transferring it to the USB, she hands it over to Mr Lee. The USB is used to get recordings and not through emails to avoid the risk of anyone finding out by hacking. Mr. Lee informs Eve that the music videos have been performing well and the work will increase.
The scene shifts to Dae, who is going to meet his brother after a long time avoiding him. He greets the shop owner and asks for his usual order. When he takes his first bite, his brother shows up. Jae offers Dae a job opportunity and convinces him by saying that it is no different from his present delivery service job. He hands Dae the same USB Eve gave him and asks him to deliver it from one place, to which he gets paid. When Dae questions what the Pendrive is all about, Jae tells him about the contract and the reason for handing over this job to him is to stop people from suspecting. Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 14 ends with him feeling suspicious about the entire thing.
Chapter 15: What’s Lost, What’s Found
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 15 opens with Jae promising to give Dae what he always wanted, and that was proper therapy for Mom. Jae mentions that he knows of his irregular visits to the hospital because he hates seeing his mother in that state. He again asks him whether he will do the task or not. The scene shifts to Dae walking on the street alone, looking at the Pendrive. He gets a flashback of his childhood when her mother gives her a bedtime buddy, Tapi, and tells him that Tapi has a special power to keep bad dreams away. When his mother left, he was left alone and held onto the Tapi. Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 15 ends with Dae knocking on a door and getting flustered seeing Eve.
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 16: Familiar
Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 16 opens with Eve addressing Dae as the brother of Mr Lee and her knowing that he would be handling the exchange of the USB from then on. Dae hands over the USB to Eve. When he turned around to leave, she stopped him and asked for his number so she could be notified of when he would be coming the next time for the USB . Dae gives her his number, and when he goes down the stairs, he blushes. The scene shifts to Eve on FaceTime with Cherri.
Meanwhile, she was searching for the meaning of losing her voice in a dream. It meant that she was unable to express herself in her waking life. Then she starts searching about Dream Eater. As she is on it, she gets an email saying she has got a job interview. Eaternal Nocturnal Chapter 16 ends on this exciting note.
