She expresses her unhappiness about being chosen by the gods. The scene shifts to the real Medea, who awakens in an underwater world. As she explores her surroundings, she encounters a massive wall blocking her path.
Through a small gap, Medea sees a weary Psyche, who is curious about what lies beyond her confinement. Psyche is with her mother, who prevents her from venturing outside, fearing that others might exploit her unique nature. She soon finds herself in a new room with her father, signalling a significant shift in her circumstances. She later confronts Eros, questioning whether he truly saved her from loneliness. Medea begins to empathize with Psyche’s suffering and realizes that Psyche had wished for her own death to protect her loved ones from pain.
Although Medea once loathed Psyche, she acknowledges that she never wanted her to die. A voice confronts Medea, declaring that she must also confront Psyche’s misfortunes if she wishes to secure her fortunes. Medea resolutely declares that she will not die and vows to seek justice against Eros. The voice mocks her, but she responds with confidence, expressing her faith in Psyche’s strength and her determination to change what lies ahead.
Meanwhile, in the mortal realm, Psyche (in Medea’s body) is troubled by her thoughts. She regrets wishing for death during the prayer service and longs for the resilience to face reality. As she yearns for strength, a drop of blood falls onto the necklace Eros gave her, causing it to shine brightly. She separated herself from Psyche-in-Medea, knowing her healing powers could heal her. She needs to look hurt to escape Eros’s plans. It becomes clear that Psyche’s extraordinary power led to her confinement and abandonment. Helio, worried about Medea wanting to move on so quickly after her return, fears losing her again. Furious that his scheme has unravelled, the crown prince reacts violently, killing one of his guards in a fit of rage. Meanwhile, at the banquet, Psyche-in-Medea and Helio are attempting to blend in to avoid suspicion. Helio is torn between his desires and his plans, but she urges him to proceed, reminding him that sometimes one must take what one can get. In the next scene, she is resting in bed when Eros visits her. He discreetly inquires about her power, and she responds confidently, now aware of the truth regarding her abilities. He also asks about her saviour so he can give him a reward. She smirks internally and fabricates a story about an imaginary saviour. She then requests a favour from him.
Meanwhile, at the Solon mansion, Helio is surprised that Psyche (in Medea’s body) wants to learn sword fighting. Since the real Medea is already skilled, but few know of her abilities, Helio agrees that she can practice in public. He also advises her to limit their meetings as people are starting to gossip. Helio teaches her the basics and recalls how the real Medea once helped him with his sword skills when they were kids. She practices hard until evening, and that’s when Helio notices the necklace. She learns that the necklace belonged to her late nanny, which shocks her and makes her regret her earlier actions towards Helio.
Meanwhile, Eros is seeking information about the saviour who rescued his fiancée but has no leads. He visits Psyche’s room and finds her asleep. Inside Psyche’s body, Medea dreams of following a butterfly and discovering her nanny alive. Medea expresses her desire for revenge and to return to her own body.
