Your Throne Chapter 41: A New Beginning
In Your Throne Chapter 41, Psyche breaks up with Eros, leaving him shocked and apprehensive about whether she is serious. As he leaves her house, he wonders if her change in behavior is due to Pell. Despite her initial surprise, he is determined to win her back.
The next morning, Psyche’s maids have mixed opinions on her new hairstyle. Soon after, she receives expensive gifts from the crown prince as an apology for the previous day’s events. However, she throws all the gifts out the window, leaving everyone present stunned by her reaction.
A knock interrupts the chaos when another servant arrives with a sword from him. Confused but intrigued, Psyche realizes it was sent on Medea’s request. She accepts the sword and hangs it on the wall, aware that its purpose is to instill fear in her rather than teach her how to use it.
Count Callista comes in, surprised by Psyche’s new appearance. Meanwhile, Medea begins training with the sword, raising the maids’ concerns for her safety. After a light conversation, she receives a letter from the imperial palace. Back in her room, she inspects the letter and notices a book about the imperial family, realizing that Psyche placed it there to emulate her.

Chapter 42: Letting Go Of The Past
In Your Throne Chapter 42, Helio enters Medea’s room carefully, eager to see if she is there. When she calls him “Heli” instead of Helio, all his worries disappear. Relief floods over him as he joyfully welcomes her back. He asks how she got back into her body, and she says she has a faint idea but needs to talk to Psyche for more information. She notices his tired eyes and gently asks about his sleep issues. Helio admits he has been having nightmares, leading Medea to ask directly: Is it related to the death of her nanny?
A flashback reveals how Helio had meticulously cleaned her nanny’s corpse, covering the bruises with makeup to disguise the death as natural. Though Medea had sensed something amiss and noticed the makeup long ago, she had chosen not to confront him. Now, on his knees, Helio begs for her forgiveness, offering to accept any punishment she deems fit.
Medea thinks about her nanny’s final words, remembering how her caregiver had told her to escape, a painful thought since it was her nanny who needed to flee. She scolds herself, but Helio’s soothing presence calms her. In a touching moment, Medea takes her nanny’s necklace, puts it on, and encourages him to forget the past and look forward. The next day, she meets a group of maids, all showing signs of injury from her father. One maid urges her to leave for her own safety, but she is confused by their worry. She firmly declares that she will not abandon them. Your Throne Chapter 42 ends with her boldly asking about her father’s location, determination clear on her face.

She warns Psyche to be cautious of those in her household but reassures her that the maid is trustworthy, as she once served as one of Medea’s spies.
While surprised, Psyche’s joy in reuniting with Medea outweighs her concerns. Medea is impressed by Psyche’s hopeful spirit and asks how she returned to her body. Meanwhile, a driver waits for Psyche.

As Eros signals for his guards while trying to comfort her, Psyche unexpectedly faints. Back in the present, she feels lightheaded and struggles to continue her story.
Medea encourages her to breathe, knowing that Eros, who has known Psyche since childhood, is likely aware of her powers. Meanwhile, the driver grows suspicious of Psyche’s absence and goes to find her. Psyche worries that her friendship with Medea could harm Medea’s reputation and vows to help her at all costs. She suggests they be open about their friendship, but Medea rejects the idea, aware that Eros would take advantage of their connection. Frustrated, Psyche searches for a way to assist Medea, prompting a smirk from Medea as she reveals her plan.
In another scene, the driver encounters Psyche’s maid, who is relaxing with tea. When he asks about Psyche, she casually mentions that Psyche went down first. Medea’s maid notices this exchange and quickly informs Medea and Psyche. Sensing urgency, Medea decides to end their conversation and instructs Psyche’s maid to return.
The driver spots Psyche waiting outside, looking relieved. Medea praises the maid’s strength and loyalty, making her feel proud. However, as the maid leaves, Medea reflects that not everyone possesses such qualities.
The maid soon learns that other servants are preparing to leave, influenced by spreading rumors. The head maid overhears this commotion and vows to report it to Medea. Later that night, Medea receives a letter from Heli saying that more people are believing the rumors. The head maid awaits instructions, and Medea tells her to gather everyone in the hall. It is revealed that Medea orchestrated the false rumors herself.
