ToggleTower Structure in Tower of God Manhwa
Tower of God Manhwa follows the story of Bam and his friend Rachel. Rachel only dreams about reaching the top and when she enters the Tower, Bam forces himself to follow her. The titular Tower is a gigantic structure that’s essentially a society within itself. Having several floors and many protectors, the Tower is a lethal place for those unfamiliar with the Tower’s whereabouts. The most powerful lords reside in the top and the lower-ranking individuals reside in the lowest floors.
Floor 134 is the highest level in the story so far. It is the extent of the Jahad (or Zahard) Empire and the ruling families. Since King Jahad has never conquered Floor 135, little is known about the rest of the Tower. The 135th Floor Guardian is hostile and it’s hard to pass its test. And, the one who can reach the top will be able to see the stars as the skies in the Tower are made of the artificial presence of shinsu.
The entire Tower in Tower of God manhwa hasn’t been mapped out, so the series is ongoing. The Tower of God anime covered up to Chapter 78 in 13 episodes. And, for those unaware the Tower of God Season 2 will premiere on July 6, 2024.

Divisions of Tower in Tower of God
As stated by Khun Aguero Agnis, before the Great Family Heads climbed up the Tower, the Tower was inhabited by beings of the Legendary Machine Civilization, Towns of Ancient People, and groups of Ancients.
There are numerous floors with distinct layouts but similar concepts. Each floor has an Outer Tower and an Inner Tower. The former is for residential purposes, and the latter is for fighting and moving on to the next level. When someone shows the potential to climb the Tower, Headon chooses them as Regular and offers them the right to climb the Inner Tower. Both the Rankers and the Regulars can live in the middle Area. The Regulars can live there once they reach the 20th Floor.
Chosen Regulars can move from floor to floor. The Irregulars are rare beings and can move in and out of the Tower. Bam, an Irregular, entered the Tower to find his friend, but for that, he needs to survive each floor, and survival in the Tower is anything but easy.
Reaching the top of the tower (Floor 134), the Regulars get the title of Rankers and earn the right to command those in the lower levels. They take care of the administrative roles like Test Directors and Instructors. There are Guardians on each floor of the Tower, except for the 43rd floor (there is no Guardian since Enryu killed it).
Similar to Solo Leveling, each floor has a Ruler in the Tower of God webtoon, although they can’t act without the Guardians. The ruling class in the titular Tower is the Ten Great families and they are commanded by the most powerful King Jahad. Other than the lower class and the powerful beings, the Tower is populated by vicious beasts like Shinheuh.
Shinsu in Tower of God Manhwa
Regarding survival, the powerful resource shinsu available in the Tower is synonymous with oxygen. All the residents have a large lifespan, and if they know how to manipulate shinsu, their lifespan will increase to the point they stop aging. There are exceptional cases of developing an allergic reaction to shinsu as they age – when someone dies of old age, this is usually the cause. Some Rankers also obtained immortality, for instance, the 10 Great Family Heads and King Jahad. The Guardians of the 100th Floor rewarded them with immortality for clearing its test.
