Let’s dive into To Get Her Chapter 1-4!
To Get Her Chapter 1: A Day Like Every Other

To Get Her Chapter 1 begins as Elianna- or just Ann- dashes through the security check, past the office doors, and into the meeting room just in time for her impatient boss to start the conference. Uncharacteristically late, Ann brushes a hand through her cropped silver hair and formally apologizes for the delay.
During the meeting, Ann and the other graphic designers are grilled by their boss for failing to match his vision. Ann tries to reason with him, citing that they’d fulfilled all established requirements, while her co-worker immediately capitulates to the unfair demands and puts the entire team on the spot.
Later, Ann sighs in the light of the bright screen in front of her. One of her colleagues interrupts the beginning of a self-pity session, asking for her expert help on a project. Renewed with confidence after guiding him, Ann stretches and gets to work again. While pondering the inhumanity of the constant pressure of her job at a big company, she overhears a few men engaged in a loud conversation. They discuss the importance of dedicatedly maintaining a high standard of hard work as if consciously proving Ann’s point.
But with A Twist At The End
Dusk befalls the city outside the glass windows of Ann’s prison, but she remains glued to her seat. How could she leave with her boss’s impossible deadline?! One of her co-workers, a handsome man called Daniel, offers to stay and help her. However, Ann obliviously declines his request without the slightest consideration. How could a video editor help a graphic designer? (Translation: Good luck next time, Daniel.)
That night, Ann slumps on her seat in the metro with exhaustion. Two women in front of her discuss their dinner plans, making Ann envious of their ability to hang out casually. Who had the time? ‘I really don’t like this job,’ she thinks, despondently.
She unlocks her phone and chances upon the messages of her client. She’d received a freelance job, but she hadn’t found time to start the work yet. Her task was to create the logo for a bar, but she’d never even set foot inside one before.
Ann contemplates the job while she walks back home. Suddenly, she passes by a bar she’d never seen before. Having nothing to lose, she walks in. Immediately, she finds herself bathed in the inviting gold light of the classy interiors. With a shock, she realizes that it was the same bar her client had asked her to refer to. She takes a seat at the bar. A red-haired woman- the bartender- approaches her with a smile. “My name is Libby. What can I get you?” she asks with a beaming smile, concluding To Get Her Chapter 1.

To Get Her Chapter 2: What’s This New Flavour?

To Get Her Chapter 2 begins as Libby stutters while she gazes into Ann’s violet eyes. Recovering easily, she asks the newcomer to pick her poison. After some consideration, Ann picks the classic Long Island Iced Tea.
In the ambience of the bar, Ann glances around with absorbed fascination; Libby curiously notices her focused gaze. While she mixes Ann’s drink together, the bartender inquires about her work. Ann registers that Libby seemed ‘kind of nosy’, and shocks her when she explains her two jobs. Her attention is suddenly captured by Libby as she begins to mix her Iced Tea with graceful movements not unlike the flawless steps of a trained dancer. Unknowingly, Ann begins to sketch Libby in action.
Making light conversation, Libby further asks Ann about her job as a graphic designer and learns that she was designing a bar logo. “Do you enjoy what you do?” she asks, making Ann abruptly pause. Libby instantly realizes her mistake and apologizes for overstepping her boundaries. She openly offers her help, adding, “And don’t forget to sit back and take a breather, okay?”
‘She’s so nice,’ Ann thinks as Libby attends another customer. But immediately a shadow clouds her thoughts, ‘Or maybe she’s being fake like everyone else I’ve dealt with?’ She watches Libby smile at her customers, offering them genuine advice and sympathy, and decides against it. Her heart oddly thumps in her chest, and she realizes that, unlike her, Libby must love her job. Ann loses herself in the bar atmosphere- the lights, the chatter, the drinks- and inspiration finally strikes. To Get Her Chapter 2 concludes as Ann passes out on the counter with her tablet in front of her.

To Get Her Chapter 3: Redhead On My Bed

To Get Her Chapter 3 begins as a pair of girls obsess over the ‘catch’ that was Libby, the beautiful, optimistic, and charismatic bartender, while she tries to positively reflect on her terrible drive to the bar. She’d hoped for a normal day after being drenched on the road… but then Ann had shown up for a drink.
Immediately, Libby had been taken by a spark of recognition for the small tuft of hair on her silver head. She was the woman who walked past the bar every night, but never looked up even once. Libby had noticed Ann’s ‘tired and lonely’ eyes, and had tried to breathe life back into them. Instead, she’d gotten excited over her sketches while Ann remained as impassive as ever.
Remembering that she had the habit of being unintentionally intrusive, Libby had taken a few steps back. As the night progressed, Libby suddenly caught sight of Ann furiously scribbling on her tablet. Though she’d decided to give her space, Ann had eventually beckoned her over. “I admire you…” she’d said, drunkenly, “And I want to like my job as much as you.” Before Ann’s vision faded into nothingness, she’d managed to get out the half-sentence– ‘I want you-‘
The next morning, Ann wakes up with an impossibly heavy head. She gets out of bed, and seeing that she has no shirt on, she shrugs one on. To Get Her Chapter 3 concludes as, after a glass of water, Ann climbs back under the duvet… and comes face-to-face with the sleeping redhead beside her. Wait what?!

To Get Her Chapter 4: Drinks & A Complimentary Bike Ride

To Get Her Chapter 4 begins as Ann freaks out about the bartender from the night before lying down on her bed. Thoughts ranging from ‘What is she doing here?’ to ‘Why don’t I have a weapon? ‘ flit through Ann’s mind faster than a dragonfly on a mission.
With all the noise of Ann panicking, Libby stirs with the name ‘Emi’ on her lips. She wakes up to the pleasant sight of Ann threateningly pointing an umbrella at her nose, getting ready to ring the police. She tumbles off the bed in haste to explain herself, and accidentally flashes her underwear at Ann.
That night, Ann had passed out cold. Confused and alarmed, Libby had (after first checking to see if she was alive) discussed the next plan of action with her boss. A customer was completely unconscious, and they had to close down for the night. Libby’s boss had offered to call a taxi. However, Libby had adamantly refused to let the ‘cute girl’ fall back on a strange driver. So, against all reason, she’d taken her home on her motorbike.
In her building, Libby had lugged Ann up with ease (if you forget that she’d bonked Ann’s head into a wall). But she hadn’t been able to stop worrying about what she’d do if Ann lived with her parents-or a partner. She’d nervously opened the door and realized with some relief that the graphic designer lived alone. She’d made her way through the boxes that littered the room- was she moving in or out?- and had deposited Ann onto her bed. But when she’d tried to remove the girl’s glasses, Ann had grabbed her wrist. To Get Her Chapter 4 concludes with a drunk Ann pulling Libby, who was heavily flustered, close.
