The Remarried Empress Chapter 25-32: Navier And Heinrey’s Fret

Navier and Heinrey

In The Remarried Empress Chapter 17-24, we have gotten a broader picture of the character of Heinrey and his opinions about Navier, The Empress of the Eastern Empire. While Lotteshu enjoys terrorizing Rashta, Heinrey solely focuses on becoming a part of Navier’s routine in his Queen form. Their dynamics are heartwarming, that is, until Sovieshu barges in. He tries to save their friendship and tells them that they shall go on a private trip for her birthday. Their reunion worries Rashta, and Lotteshu fuels her fears. Meanwhile, Duke Ergi Claude, a well-known rake, associates with Rashta and encourages her to indulge in his schemes. Let’s see how The Remarried Empress Chapter 25-32 will unfold in the Eastern Empire.

Remarried Empress Chapter 25-32: The Royal Politics

The Remarried Empress Chapter 25: A Tea Party Gone Wrong

Remarried Empress Navier and Sovieshu
Navier and Sovieshu

The Remarried Empress Chapter 25 reveals Navier nursing a sick Sovieshu. They exchange some words that turn out spiteful as soon as she mentions Rashta. Sovieshu rejects Navier’s proposal to bring his mistress to tend to his sick self. They return after a week, and Rashta jumps into Sovieshu’s arms in welcome. Navier ignores them and returns to her office, resuming the work backlog.

The scene shifts to Duchess Tuania’s tea party in Crystal House, which has gathered the notable ladies of the elite society. It was going well until Duke Ergi announced his arrival, Rashta tailing timidly behind him. The guests aren’t pleased with his choice of companion but remain silent. The conversation shifts to the former Emperor’s mistress, who previously resided in the current venue. Rashta enthusiastically inquires about the mistress, Lady Alyssia. Navier and Duke Ergi describe how she was kicked out after losing the former Emperor’s favor. Ergi’s sly remarks terrify Sovieshu’s mistress about her vulnerable status. But she quickly turns the subject to Duchess Tuania’s rendezvous with multiple suitors. Rashta’s rash words enrage the Duchess. She quickly apologizes to Navier and sees herself out of her party. Her departure confuses Rashta, and The Remarried Empress Chapter 25 closes with a smirking Ergi and a wary Navier.

Chapter 26: Navier Has A Thing for Foreigners?

Ergi and Navier

The Remarried Empress Chapter 26 opens with Duke Ergi congratulating Rashta on handling the diversion on Duchess Tuania without his help. He leaves her to her thoughts and walks away to intentionally meet Navier on his way back. He strikes up a conversation with Navier, mentioning Heinrey. Navier is skeptical about everything he says. He goes on to tell her how untrustworthy his Princely friend is. The Empress finds it harsh to be coming from someone Heinrey called a friend. He mentions some sort of preparation that his friend has been doing for a few years when Sovieshu interrupts them. He slips away, and Sovieshu bombards Navier with questions. He tries to talk her out of mingling with foreigners, to which she coldly replies that she shall find a lover within their empire. Sovieshu turns sour at this and leaves.

Later in the day, Rashta cuts in on Sovieshu’s thoughts. He asks her if Navier and Ergi are good friends, which she swiftly denies. She tries to put on an act of ‘protecting’ Navier, intending to imply that the Empress flirts with foreigners. The Emperor notices Rashta’s ruby ring is absent and asks for it. Once he tells her about its scar-concealing and healing abilities, she feels awful about giving it away to Lord Lotteshu. She makes up that she gave it away to a poor servant and asks for another one, which happens to belong to Navier.

The Remarried Empress Chapter 27: Interrogations

Navier And Heinrey

In The Remarried Empress Chapter 27, Rashta angrily questions Lotteshu if he sold her ring. He replies positively, making her furious. She demands he better not disrespect her since she is the Emperor’s woman. If he wishes to gain favors, she stresses that he mustn’t belittle her. Lotteshu agrees, and she asks him to prove his use to her. She commands him to dig dirt in Duchess Tuania’s name. Rashta later meets Navier and asks her not to take Ergi away from her since he is her only friend. In response, the Empress confirms that they aren’t friends but also digs at her for stealing her husband away, which she doesn’t grasp.

The scene moves to the dining table housing The Royal Heads’ luncheon. Amid the silent meal, Sovieshu asks Navier if she will let him borrow her ring, ‘Flower of Desert.’ He dodges her inquiries about his needs despite having his, but she correctly guesses his mistress’s involvement. She agrees to lend it but, in return, demands one of his magical possessions to lend it to her lover. Sovieshu storms off at this. She later on finds Heinrey with his aide, a blue bird, in the garden. She talks about the bird and Ergi, and Heinrey worries about his friend’s behavior. She brushes it off and asks what he has been planning in the past few years, as Ergi mentioned.

The Remarried Empress Chapter 28: Rumors

Navier

The Remarried Empress Chapter 28 begins with Heinrey stumbling over his answers to Navier’s questions. He confesses that he doesn’t want to deceive her, so Navier concedes not to question him any further. He returns to his chambers and fusses around, worrying if their progressive relationship has somehow stunted. Mckenna, the bluebird, a.k.a Heinrey’s aide, is confused at his master’s complaints. In her office, Navier commands Lady Artina, her personal guard, to look into Heinrey and Ergi’s movements before they enter the Eastern Empire’s palace gates.

The scene shifts to Lotteshu handing over his work to Rashta. He explains to a confused Rashta the corrupt secrets of Duchess Tuania. According to his narrative, Duchess Tuania’s child could have been a result of her infidelity with her fiancé’s brother. Being satisfied with this gossip, she pays Lotteshu and sends him off.

Meanwhile, Navier receives a letter of appreciation from the orphanage she donated. She refers to meeting someone to congratulate her in person. She asks Sovieshu for permission but finds him fiddling with another ruby for Rashta. She listens to him praising Rashta’s simplicity and comments on compensating the poor maid who received Rashta’s generosity.

Chapter 29: Heinrey’s Magical Abilities

Navier and Heinrey

In The Remarried Empress Chapter 29, Sovieshu uncovers Rashta’s fib about donating her gems to the maids. When he probes for the truth, she fabricates a twisted truth. She says she had distributed her jewels amongst many servants and Lord Lotteshu. He is alert at her tormentor’s mention and repeatedly asks if he is blackmailing her. Rashta hastily assures him that Lotteshu has got nothing on her. The Emperor entrusts one of his men to manage her budget.

Navier is at the mage’s academy Wilwol, meeting the student from the orphanage she sponsors, who was selected to study magic. The Dean walks her around the academy. They walk past a set of portraits hung on the corridor walls. Amongst some notable graduates, including Grand Duke Kaufman, Navier points out an empty one that belongs to Prince Heinrey. He had only momentarily studied here and was at the top of his class. Navier is perplexed at this. The Dean says it is supposed to be a secret, but Heinrey surprisingly amended this condition just the day before.

Later, she finally meets the man. Heinrey greets her and lies about being at the academy. He invites Navier for a meal, and she agrees. Navier brings up Queen at the table, pointing out his similarities with Heinrey. The latter is flustered but remains composed. Then they go back to talking about magic, and amidst that, Navier cleverly asks what his specialty is, and with that, The Remarried Empress Chapter 29 concludes.

The Remarried Empress Chapter 30: Catfights, Boundaries and Money

Navier and Heinrey

The Remarried Empress Chapter 30 opens with the usual banter between Navier and Heinrey at their meal table over his unclear magic specialties. She returns to the palace, and while in her bath, her ladies-in-waiting fill her in on the catfight that broke loose at the opera that Duke Ergi had rented. He made an inappropriate remark about Duchess Tuania, one of the guests, who retaliated by slapping him. A former lover of Ergi pounced on her, and hell broke loose. Navier’s ladies-in-waiting ask her not to worry over trivial matters.

Later, Queen joins Navier after a long time, but he appears to pull at her clothes urgently. She doesn’t comprehend the behavior, so Queen flies away. The next day, Rashta asks her about the mistress’s budget. Navier explained she would receive it next month. But Rashta says that Sovieshu’s man would handle her finances and tries to persuade the Empress to set her monthly budget aside, away from the records. She rejects her plea and asks to seek permission from the Emperor. Rashta sulks around Ergi, complaining about how unhelpful Navier is. When Ergi mentions she could have any money from the Emperor, she tries to avoid the subject, calling it difficult. Ergi agrees to lend her a little money without immediate debt, but he has his conditions, too.

Chapter 31: A Masquerade Ball Gone Wrong

Navier and Rashta

In The Remarried Empress chapter 31, Ergi urges Rashta to reveal why she wanted a sum outside her assigned budget. She doesn’t want to refuse his deal, so she reveals her secret. The scene shifts to Navier instructing the palace managers about holding a masquerade ball. She notices that the mistress is following her indiscreetly. The manager tries to calm her irritation, but she dismisses him and confronts Rashta. She clarifies that if she catches her in the act, she shall order guards to send her away.

On the day of the ball, Navier is flabbergasted when she finds out Rashta and herself are sporting a similarly designed red dress. The ball, filled with the nobles and commoners, erupted in gossip when Rashta accused the Empress of imitating her. She shuts her down with a curt response, “Copying you would make both of us the subject of ridicule..”.She walks away from a tearful Rashta and seats herself on her throne. The guests are still talking as Sovieshu enters the room, and Rashta runs to him for support. Navier prepares herself for another barrage of criticism from her husband. Surprisingly, Sovieshu clarifies that he instructed the Empress to wear a red dress.

The Remarried Empress Chapter 32: A Chain Reaction

Duke Ergi

The Remarried Empress Chapter 32 shows a jovial Sovieshu uncharacteristically defending Navier. When she questions his intentions, he says he prioritizes his Empress’s dignity because she is the face of the monarchy. They exchange small talk while Rashta tries to gain attention with her dance. When she notices that the Emperor hasn’t joined her, she focuses on Duke Tuania drinking alone.

Meanwhile, Heinrey agreeably pops up between Navier and Sovieshu’s discussion and snacking. While the former greets him with equal fervor, the latter ignores him. Navier notices Rashta chatting with Duke Tuania but thinks nothing of it. The next day, Laura clamors into her chambers, declaring that Duke Tuania has demanded a divorce from the Duchess. The past is unboxed again, and infidelity from ten years ago is questioned. Navier joins the dots, concluding that Rashta is manipulating the high society now. Another news follows, claiming that Viscount Landre has stabbed Rashta. An instigation from the mistress catalyzed a chain reaction of events.

A Reader’s Perspective

Unlike the previous chapters, The Remarried Empress Chapter 25-32 reveals a twisted set of events. Under the encouragement of Ergi Claude, Rashta focuses on tarnishing a well-reputed woman’s dignity. She collects dirt on her and tries to bend society’s ridicule away from her. She is determined to use every dirty trick in the book to achieve her goal. Rashta might not have started as a completely bad individual, even though she had sorted out to be a married man’s mistress. Her misdeeds shall probably only escalate in the future chapters. Meanwhile, Navier is wary of Heinrey’s magic powers and cautiously weighs his every word and action. Duke Ergi is folding Rashta’s innocence for an unknown reason, sowing seeds of something evil.
