In Singles’ Royale, a trio of single women decide to engage in a friendly (debatably) competition for five hundred million won to wager who could escape their miserable love life first. Previously in Singles’ Royale, Chaeyul begins to meet Sanggyu, a handsome single man who is a friend of Daeseong. Meanwhile, Seona runs into an old student, Hyeonbin, who starts to show romantic interest in her. Will Chaeyul become serious about Sanggyu? Can Seona accept Hyeonbin as more than an ex-student? And will Jurim finally find the one? Without further ado, let Singles’ Royale Chapter 13-15 begin!
Singles’ Royale Chapter 13: Red in Tooth and Claw
Singles’ Royale Chapter 13 begins as Hyeonbin courteously replies to Seona’s text (an indirect rejection) without causing a fuss. ‘He’s cooler than I thought,’ Seona realizes, thinking about all her clingy exes.
Meanwhile, Chaeyul wonders if she should invite Sanggyu to dine with them, prompting Jurim and Seona to ask her how serious things are between them. Chaeyul almost indifferently explains that ‘nothing was official’ and that she would ‘maybe’ date him. Jurim confronts her for spending time with Sanggyu just for the sake of their game- an accusation that Chaeyul unconvincingly denies.
A while later, after Sanggyu arrives, Jurim hotly complains to Seona, “Chaeyul’s only seeing him because of our Singles’ Royale! She’s basically using him!” She further strengthens her argument by reminding Seona of Chaeyul’s competitiveness: she’d once stayed out in the sun long enough for her plastic slippers to melt- to win a bet.
Seona and Jurim Go Clubbing
After dinner, Jurim and Seona debated their next move; Chaeyul was already leading in the first place, and they had to hurry. Jurim opens an app on her phone to join a hobby group, and after a long discussion, the two opposites finally agree to join an ‘English Conversation’ club (nerds were cute!).
They excitedly decide to dress up for the meeting and each put together a chic outfit that screamed ‘scholarly’. The next day, with light makeup, demure outfits, and a shy smile, they nod to each other and walk through the doors. Instead of the attractive nerds that they’d expected, they stare at the dull faces of several stout men with thick glasses. Seona and Jurim smile politely at the excited men, concealing their horror, concluding Singles’ Royale Chapter 13.
Singles’ Royale Chapter 14: A Losing Battle
Seona and Jurim get up to leave the club when Chaeyul texts them an update: she was officially dating Sanggyu; and in response, the duo stubbornly sits back down, beginning Singles’ Royale Chapter 14. ‘We just have to persevere,’ they think.
But the second the meeting starts, something magical happens. The eloquent men begin conversing in flowery language with each other, instantly turning them into supermodels in Seona and Jurim’s eyes. Even when Jurim struggles with the foreign language, the man next to her kindly helps her out. ‘He’s both sweet… and thoughtful!’ Jurim thinks with a pleasant shock.
After the meeting ends, Seona and Jurim both leave in high spirits. They look at each other, and the pieces click- they have a crush on the same man.
The Game Is On, My Friend
That night, Jurim collapses on her floor in disappointment. She couldn’t compete with talented, pretty Seona! A moment later, she sternly scolded herself for shutting herself down; she would win. Jurim was going to escape singlehood.
In the next few days, Jurim and Seona began flirting with their crush, trying to gain favor over the other. One night during karaoke, Seona notices that both Seona and the attractive nerd have disappeared. In a panic, she rushes into the parking lot and sees him making out with someone in public, concluding Singles’ Royale Chapter 14.

Singles’ Royale Chapter 15: An Epic Misjudgement
Singles’ Royale Chapter 15 begins as Jurim realizes that her crush was kissing- not Seona- but another man from their club. Mortified, Jurim embarrassingly realized just how wrong she’d been about him. Seona appears beside her, bearing the same expression of humiliation on her face. They agree to stop attending the club meets, and silently wish the couple the best.
Later, they miserably mope over their hopeless situations and jealously think about Chaeyul and her new boyfriend. “We have to put a stop to Chaeyul’s dominance,” Jurim tells Seona, making her promise that they’d be each other’s wingwomen that night. There’s no way they could fall for the same guy again.
As fate would have it, a handsome waiter serves their table moments later and leaves both Jurim and Seona starstruck. When he passes by again, Seona makes a move and immediately angers her friend. They had a deal! Subsequently, the waiter invites both of them to eat with him and his friend that night- a double date. Seona winks at Jurim, who realizes that her wingwoman had her back all along.
That night, the waiter’s friend starts to flirt with Jurim and calls her ‘adorable’. Later, he offers to walk Jurim home, making her wonder if he really likes her. However, when they reach her house, he grabs her hand and tries to force his way into crashing into her place. When he doesn’t let go, Jurim slaps him and tries to back away from the man. But she stays frozen in place when he starts to derogate her, saying that she lived in a ‘dump’. Why couldn’t she move? As he advances closer, an object strikes his temple. Dowon and his three puppies stand behind him, concluding Singles’ Royale Chapter 15.
