It’s time for another assessment of Operation True Love. Over the course of these chapters, we’re introduced to another intriguing character, and the puzzle surrounding the Jellypop will be unravelled. Su-ae longs to reconcile with Minu, but things may not be as they appear. Eunhyeok is perplexed about his concerns towards Su-ae. Although he wants to stay away from our protagonist, he can’t see her struggling and jumps to help. Without further delay, let’s delve right into Operation True Love Chapter 17-24.

Operation True Love: Is Su-ae And Minu Back?

Operation True Love Chapter 17: Unlikely Protector

Operation True Love Chapter 17 finds Eunhyeok asking Su-ae for a movie date, which causes a small commotion in class. Flustered, she awkwardly suggests they pass it off, urging him to read the room. Minu, unable to contain his jealousy, leaves. During recess, Su-ae sends Eunhyeok a note, asking him to meet her in the corridor on the fourth floor. As they meet in the fourth-floor corridor, she faces him directly about his earlier proposal for a movie date. Eunhyeok poses a counter-question, asking if he really can’t ask her out. Su-ae looks puzzled, and Eunhyeok chuckles before repeating his invite to the movie date, this time in a manner that suits her sensibilities. She eventually agrees to go on this movie date.

On the way, she accidentally bumps into a student, causing his phone to fall into the drain. The student asks Su-ae for her phone, but she cleverly offers him the jellypop instead. That’s when, unexpectedly, her jellypop starts ringing. She swiftly retrieves it from the student to answer the call. Meanwhile, Dohwa and his gang quietly watch the unfolding situation from a distance, laughing. The boy harasses Su-ae when he sees his friends laughing at him. Operation True Love Chapter 17 ends with a shoe striking him and Ra-im asking what he’s doing to her little sister. 

Chapter 18: Crossed Boundaries In Sisterly Conflict

Operation True Love Chapter 18 commences with Ra-im walking back home, worried about Su-ae’s predicament. She firmly believes that her sister is intentionally avoiding her. Suddenly, she spots her sister being bullied and decides to intervene. The bully promptly alters his demeanour when he recognizes that Su-ae is Ra-im’s sister. Su-ae comes to the bitter realization that her sister’s mere presence was enough to change the bully’s mindset. When she discovered the secret of her boyfriend and sister, she viewed Ra-im as her adversary, reluctant to have her trespass on her personal boundaries. However, when Ra-im boldly violates those boundaries to defend her. Su-ae’s resilience crumbles and a flood of negative emotions washes over her.

As Ra-im tries to console Su-ae, she angrily smacks her extended hand away and hurries off to meet Eunhyeok. She receives a text message from the bully, Yonggu, apologizing, but it’s evident his remorse is only due to her being Ra-im’s sister.

A flashback then depicts Young Su-ae courageously defending Young Ra-im from bullies. Eunhyeok goes to meet up with his friends at an internet cafe before his planned date with Su-ae. There, he runs into Minu, and a conflict unfolds concerning Su-ae. Before the quarrel escalates, a picture of Yonggu bullying Su-ae appears in a group chat, and Minu storms off. Initially, there’s a moment of indecision as Eunhyeok wavers about chasing after him, but he ultimately decides to follow suit.

Operation True Love Chapter 19: Another Chance?

Operation True Love Chapter 19 finds Su-ae distraught over the current predicament. Minu comes running to her, concerned, and cups her face. A flashback then reveals a scenario in the past where he courageously defends Su-ae from bullying, even getting injured himself. In the present, when he approaches her, Su-ae pushes him away.

Minu vaguely admits that the sincerity in their relationship has weakened, but he pleads for another chance to make amends and start anew. Unexpectedly, Su-ae grabs her Jellypop phone and opens the camera app to take a picture of herself kissing Minu. Eunhyeok witnesses this scene, and within the Jellypop app, the love points increase by one. A side story then unfolds, recounting Su-ae after dropping off Eunhyeok. The chapter concludes with her finding a mysterious box waiting for her at the door.

Chapter 20: Marang Entertainment

Operation True Love Chapter 20 begins with a curious Su-ae examining the enigmatic box in front of her. She draws out a note confirming that it’s from the Jellypop user. Frightened, she takes her phone to report to the police with the evidence in hand. However, as she attempts to capture pictures of the proof, all the images turn out completely black. She tries to call her dad, but upon realizing he’s not home, she remembers that her parents had gone out on a date. Emboldened, she brings the box into the living room. While she desires to open the box, her fear still persists. She receives another message urging her to open the box.

As Su-ae curiously opens the box, she discovers a USB cable inside. She then connects it to her laptop using the Jellypop memory card, which leads her to a peculiar website showcasing Marang Group’s artists and their history. Notably, the entertainment agency’s performers are known for their unparalleled success and popularity, and the industry itself is highly regarded as “made by God.” The website further explains that everyone is born with a unique number called their emotional capacity. Understanding the significance of this matter is deemed pivotal to the triumphs of the Marang Group. Operation True Love Chapter 20 concludes with an unrelated scene featuring Dohwa and Su-ae in an uncomfortable position.

Operation True Love Chapter 21: Love Points Dilemma

Operation True Love Chapter 21 delves into the concept of LOVE POINTS. Each individual possesses two counts: the current number of love points they have thus far received and the total amount of love they will receive in their lifetime. Love points escalate when someone holds affection towards another. As long as the sentiment stays within the confines of love, the points continue to increase for the individual in question. According to the website, Su-ae holds the record for having no love points at all, and the system believes her dilemma is irreversible. However, the system does offer her a chance to raise her love points and requires her to increase it by just one point, if not she will perish. Initially, Su-ae dismisses the whole matter as senseless. However, as time goes on, she realizes everything is true.

One day, while resting in the storage room, Su-ae unexpectedly crosses paths with Dohwa, realizing that he is a high scorer of love points. She then comes to understand that her life is in danger, which leads to her kissing Minu to raise her love points. In the next scene, we see the situation from Eunhyeok’s perspective, and he witnesses Su-ae kiss Minu. Initially, he didn’t care much about her feelings, but over time, he began to care about her and wanted revenge for how her emotions were disregarded. Despite this, he feels disillusioned by her present actions.

Chapter 22: Su-ae And Ra-im Get Injured

Operation True Love Chapter 22 commences with Su-ae and Minu encountering Ra-im in front of their home. Ra-im attempts to initiate a conversation, but Su-ae ignores her and urges Minu to leave. Once inside the house, Su-ae and her sister engage in a verbal spar. She requests that her sister leave her room, but Ra-im hesitates to comply. In the process of pushing Ra-im out of the room, the sisters sustain injuries. Upon arriving at the hospital, their parents promptly attend to them, ensuring their well-being.

Eunhyeok’s inner struggle takes centre stage as he grapples with his feelings for Su-ae. He resolves not to care for her anymore. The next day, he spots Su-ae’s injured hand and secretly feels worried but masks his concern. A new seating plan is implemented, and Eunhyeok notices Su-ae’s struggles, prompting him to assist her in sorting out the arrangement. Operation True Love Chapter 22 ends with them becoming official seating partners.

Operation True Love Chapter 23: Secret Of Marang

Operation True Love Chapter 23 begins at the opulent Marang office building, where everything reeks of luxury. We are introduced to another notable character who harbours a deep adoration for love stories. This individual sends messages to Su-ae via Jellypop and serves as the CEO of Marang Entertainment. This character’s stalking behaviour stems from his obsession with Su-ae’s novel, “Becoming the Black Rose Girl of Versailles.” He is hell-bent on eradicating any potential threats to the success of Marang Entertainment, and Su-ae is currently an anomaly in his eyes. If the love point system falters, the entire agency will suffer as well.

At school, Su-ae is despondent upon learning that the love points from Minu have vanished, returning her back to zero points. She exhausts every available strategy in an attempt to elevate her love points with Minu, but nothing seems to take effect. But we get to witness a heartfelt moment where Eunhyeok lends a helping hand to Su-ae in her studies. However, this interaction between the two ignites a twinge of jealousy in Minu.

Chapter 24: A Foolproof Plan of Su-ae

In Operation True Love Chapter 24, Su-ae is taken aback by Minu’s jealousy. Inspired by his possessive tendency, she recognizes that Minu views her as a toy, and she decides to exploit this understanding to her advantage. Driven by her desperation to accumulate more love points, Su-ae devises a plan that involves Eunhyeok. Returning home, Su-ae crafts a scheme to ignite Minu’s jealousy and considers enlisting Eunhyeok’s assistance in the process. She envisions this plan as a win-win for him as well, as it may enable him to break apart Ra-im and Minu.

The next day, Su-ae repeatedly offers Eunhyeok her favourite food, but he consistently refuses it. However, when she attempts to give him his favourite food at lunch, an accident occurs, leading to her injured hand colliding with the warm food. Seeing this, Eunhyeok quickly bandages her hand, prompting her to think that despite his sometimes jerk-like behaviour, he is kind. He inquires whether Su-ae and Minu had a disagreement, to which she reveals her plan involving him. She requests that they should fake date each other by cheating on the cheaters. The chapter concludes with Eunhyeok firmly asserting, “I said back off!!!”
