My Lucky Strike Chapter 41: Hotel Rooms, Art Fights, and Ink-Stained Confessions

Siru and Cheong (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)
Siru and Cheong (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 41 starts with trouble brewing at the café when Gukhwa goes off on Cheong for treating Siru like a VIP. He’s seething that he got no special treatment and even goes so far as to accuse them of dating! Things escalate, words are exchanged, and BAM — all three get kicked out of the cafe for good.

Cheong, in his usual icy demeanor, spirits them away to an upscale hotel where he now resides (money kid alert) and offers casually to give them art lessons. Siru and Gukhwa believe him to be teasing about his mother being the chairwoman of the hotel. Cheong lies on the bed and announces falls asleep.

As Cheong observes Siru repeatedly checking her phone, he suspects it’s regarding Gibaek. When she confesses their “relationship” is bewildering, Cheong drops bombs, telling Siru Gibaek he’s just leading her on. Siru, agitated, attempts to defend him but isn’t fooling anyone, not even herself.

To break the tension, she notices Cheong has ink on his cheek. Reaching out to wipe it away, their faces come very close, introducing some hot tension into the already crazy day.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 41 concludes with a charged silence and a lingering question: What is going on between Siru and Cheong?

Chapter 42: Ink, Ice Cream & Infuriating Discoveries

Siru, Cheong and Gibaek
Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek

My Lucky Strike Chapter 42 starts with Siru gazing at Cheong’s ink-stained cheek, wondering if she should wipe it off with her spit (yes, seriously)—only to catch herself being weird and wake up Gukhwa, proposing they go home. As they exit, Cheong nonchalantly does what she didn’t: wipes it off with his spit like it’s no big deal.

Outside, Gukhwa surprises Siru by informing her that Cheong’s really not a bad guy despite all that standoffish energy. But Siru’s head is a whirlwind of thoughts—Cheong’s declaration regarding Gibaek is still buzzing in her head, and she knows she has to get things resolved once and for all.

The following day, she attempts to chat with Gibaek… but guess what? He’s “too busy” once more. So Siru decides to take things into her own hands and shows up at the school party where he’s scheduled to appear. Gukhwa and Siho are already there, but no Mr. MIA to be seen. A bit choked, she ventures out for some air, and whom does she bump into? Cheong, of course.

They get ice cream (obviously their love language), and Cheong half-apologetically attempts to apologize for the day before. In the meantime, Siru can’t help but gawp at his lips—girl, get it together! But things take a turn for the worse when, while walking, they see Gibaek messing about with another girl—the same one who asked Siru for a lighter to smoke once.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 42 concludes with Siru in speechless shock, unsure whether the bitter flavor in her mouth is from the ice cream… or the betrayal she has just experienced.

Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)
Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 43 starts with Siru catching Gibaek being overly affectionate with the same girl from earlier, exchanging smokes and jokes like they’re the leads in their K-drama. As Siru approaches them, Cheong intercepts her, likely feeling things are going to blow.

The girl plays hard to get, offering to date Gibaek because she’s cute and popular (modesty? Never heard of her). Gibaek, with the emotional range of a teaspoon, tells her no, but chuckles when she calls him a heartbreaker. Deep inside, he kinda likes being the object of everyone’s affections. Cigarette in hand, he’s the epitome of enigmatic bad boy.

Then boom—Siru just appears and nonchalantly requests a cigarette as well. Gibaek is in shock. Siru jokingly asks if this is the “busy” life he was constantly talking about. The flirtatious girl starts piecing the puzzle together, wondering if Siru is yet another girl trapped in Gibaek’s love maze.

Before matters get complicated, Cheong springs in with a rescue operation: “Let’s go get some ice cream,” he says, and whisks Siru away.

The Ultimate Showdown

Gibaek throws shade, remarking on how Siru says he loves him but then always spends time with Cheong. Siru attempts to clarify, but Cheong cuts it off with a scandalous lie, saying that he was the one pursuing Siru, begging for her. Gibaek is shaken, and just as he’s going to fight back… someone vomits on him. Karma in an instant.

Later, Siru questions why Cheong expressed himself in such a way. He nonchalantly says he was defending her pride. Siru gets all teary-eyed for Gibaek, and Cheong hugs her. Meanwhile, with absolutely no idea, Bang-A is lurking in the shadows, witnessing all of this.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 43 concludes with a soothing hug, messy emotions, and an impending storm brewing on the horizon.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 44: Blurry Lies & Brewing Payback

Rookie and Bang-A
Rookie and Bang-A

My Lucky Strike Chapter 44 starts with Bang-A taping Siru and Cheong’s tearful moment like a good gossip queen, totally disregarding poor Gyeongpil, the guy she came with. Typical Bang-A. She intends to release the video to create drama, but karma is swift—the video is blurry, and nobody can make out anything!

Gukhwa grabs her phone, trying to understand, and listens to Gyeongpil’s heartbreaking voice attempting to speak with Bang-A. Enraged, Gukhwa condemns her for leading Gyeongpil on like a supporting character in her rumor drama. Bang-A storms off angry, directly to report to Rookie.

Rookie, evidently untangling, begins weeping the instant she sees Cheong in the distance and melodramatically proclaims he wouldn’t dare cheat on her once more. Bang-A is thrilled at the spicy possibility of drama, but Rookie tells her to zip it—no secrets permitted. But Rookie smirks next. This is her chance of a lifetime to destroy Cheong’s life.

Rookie immediately calls Mijeol, suggesting they collaborate to turn Cheong’s college life into a total disaster. Mijeol, being a drama buff, doesn’t need any more convincing.

Back at home, Siru’s still traumatized but keeps mum. Jabin can tell something’s amiss, but Siru doesn’t talk. The next morning, Siru makes an effort to steer clear of Gibaek and the uncomfortable storm that’s brewing between them.

Alas, fate (and drama) always manages to find a way. Gibaek approaches her, intent on having a word with her.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 44 concludes with tension building, old fires flaring, and a plot of revenge simmering in the shadows.

Chapter 45: The Break-Up Blow-Up

Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)
Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 45 starts with Gibaek arriving and playing the victim. He tells them to “call it even”—because he hung out with other girls, just as Siru spent time with Cheong after confessing to Gibaek. His remedy? She should be his girlfriend—but only if she leaves Cheong. He, on his part, vows to keep a “safe” distance from his female fan club. Siru is left in shock and more confused than ever.

Back in school, she’s questioning all of her life decisions—most especially why she liked Gibaek in the beginning to begin with. Cheong arrives, and just as life settles down again, Bang-A gets the rumor train rolling again. But her friends are sick of it, saying she’s boring and so last season.

Subsequently, the class is tasked with cleaning the mock-up room. Predictably, most students skip out, leaving Siho under a sea of mess. Siru, Gukhwa, and Cheong remain behind to assist. During cleaning, Siru hurts her hand, and Cheong escorts her to another room to rest. He opens up, mentioning that he wanted to assist her right from the start.

Tough Decisions

At the same time, Gibaek arrives at the mock-up room and finds out Siru is in another room. Jealousy boils over, and he bursts in, shouting at her and Cheong to stop it! He slams down an ultimatum: it’s him or Cheong.

Cheong grins, but before things get out of hand, Siru intervenes. She pulls at Cheong’s collar, theatrically lists all the ways Gibaek treated her like dirt, and declares that Cheong treats her better. Cue gasps of shock—everyone sees the entire confrontation. Short order after this iconic moment, sophomore Siru gets herself a messy new moniker: “Garbage Truck.”

My Lucky Strike Chapter 45 concludes with heartbreaks laid bare, reputations rewritten, and a queen rebuilt from the ashes—one collar pull at a time.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 46: The Exterminator Era & Existential Career Crises

Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek
Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek

My Lucky Strike Chapter 46 starts with the morning of May, and a fresh semester filled with rumors. Siru is remodeled in school life as “The Exterminator” due to the video that went viral of her tongue-lashing Gibaek. It seems someone recorded the entire dramatic episode. As she’s gaining a new nasty nickname, poor Gibaek is being “The Walking Red Flag” by all.. In embarrassed silence, the two agree to pretend they’re total strangers from here on out.

Meanwhile, Gibaek is sobbing in front of his bros, complaining about the blow to his rep. His friends, always the pragmatists, remind him he’s still got a year to go—what’s he gonna do then?

Back to Siru, she chooses to detox from drama and concentrate solely on her studies. With Gukhwa and Cheong by her side, she attempts to mentally reboot. But life has other ideas. Her professor gives a final project for the student showcase, and she is left scrambling. She begins questioning her future job. Studies? Business? Cheong appears to have it all mapped out, which only makes things worse.

Enter Jabin, who nonchalantly drops the bomb that her company earned 500 million won in six months and offers Siru a full-time job. Dream team, she says. Siru freaks out. She knows nothing about business and still has classes. Jabin offers to drop out—ouch. They clash heads, and Siru storms off feeling lost, knowing in her heart Jabin’s words struck a chord.

Seven days later, after a whole night on caffeine and tension, Siru completes her task. On her zombie shuffle home, she almost bumps into an equally sleep-deprived stranger—and assists him in collecting his sunglasses. My Lucky Strike Chapter 46 wraps up with tiredness, befuddlement, and—perhaps only—a fresh chapter set to start.

Chapter 47: Internships, Invitations, and a Whiff of Jealousy

Siru and Cheong (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)
Siru and Cheong (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 47 starts with Siru still dazed from her post-all-nighter haze when the strange guy she nearly bumped into offers her a business card, volunteering to pay for any coffee stain on her clothes. Smooth, enigmatic, and caffeinated.

At school, Cheong spots the stain on her shirt and nonchalantly mentions it… just as that guy walks in again. He happens to be Jiho-Go, the new teaching assistant—and it seems like he now works at LS Electrics. What an entrance.

Once class reviews are over, Jiho gives Cheong a card as well, fueling Siru’s interest even further. The three sit down later to talk, and Jiho inquires of Cheong if he’d like to design medical equipment (glam!). Not wanting to be the third wheel, Siru attempts to bounce along quietly, but Jiho brings her up short. Plot twist: he wants to see her designs as well and says he likes to meet “gifted individuals.” Siru begins daydreaming—could this be her ticket to stardom?

But then the mood is broken. Jiho throws the bomb, and Gibaek is working as an intern, too. Siru’s optimistic anticipation promptly crashes, and she abandons the notion of joining. Jiho drops her one final piece of advice before he makes a quick exit (literally), advising her to quit playing it safe if she desires something authentic. Cheong, naturally, has opinions: he doesn’t care for Jiho, and Siru cannot help but get a little dizzy over his covert jealousy.

To top it all off, Siru and her family go out on a much-needed staycation—some family bonding and quiet time from the tornado of craziness. My Lucky Strike Chapter 47 wraps up on career questions, low-key flirting, and a family vacation that could be just what Siru needs.

Chapter 48: Surprise Siblings And Mysterious Ties

Siru, Mijeol, and Cheong
Siru, Mijeol, and Cheong

My Lucky Strike Chapter 48 begins as Siru and her family arrive at an expensive hotel for their staycation, though Siru’s parents are the ones who are the most excited, not her. Siru’s main task? Siru’s main job is to look after her wild little brother, Gyeongdan.

Things are fine at first, but then suddenly, Gyeongdan is nowhere to be seen. Siru gets anxious and begins searching everywhere, only to see him trying to get into a place she can’t follow. Cheong swoops in at the last second, saying he’ll get Siru past the door by putting her on his guest list, totally saving the day.

But hold up—it gets weirder.

Then Mijeol turns up, saying hi to Siru as if they’re old friends, and pulls her along into the hotel. Cheong throws her another curveball by saying: he says that the chairwoman of the hotel is his mom, and she’s already told hotel staff to look for Gyeongdan. And oh—Mijeol? She’s not just anyone. She’s Cheong’s older sister.

Family Secrets

Siru’s brain officially short-circuits. Mijeol makes sure to keep Siru company, obviously having a good time with Siru’s confusion, and soon enough, Gyeongdan is found. Siru and her brother walk away from the wild family meetup, and Siru thinks it felt like she just starred in a soap opera plot twist.

While this is happening, Cheong and Mijeol chat as siblings, and Cheong thinks Mijeol might be drinking again. His mind goes back to meeting Gyeongdan, and he can’t figure out what’s wrong. How on earth are Siru and Gyeongdan related if her last name is Gong and his is Hwang?

My Lucky Strike Chapter 48 leaves us with even more things to wonder about, one kid who’s now safe, and a bunch of crazy family mysteries coming to light.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 49: Dresses, Debt & Double Lives

Cheong and Mijeol (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)
Cheong and Mijeol (My Lucky Strike Chapter 41-50)

Siru begins Chapter 49 in a hotel bathroom, being made to help Jabin with clothes, and is tired while she’s still worried about exams. While she’s helping Jabin change clothes, Siru hears two girls whispering to each other: they say Cheong’s mom, the chairwoman, told him to come to the hotel just to please Mijeol. But the worst part is that his family is supposedly really in debt. Siru quietly leaves the bathroom, the gossip still bothering her thoughts.

While this is going on, Cheong and Mijeol are chatting at the fancy banquet, but it’s obvious Mijeol doesn’t like it. One of Cheong’s old friends, Eunseo, comes up to him. Noticing this, Mijeol acts up, demands a jacket from Cheong, and then insults Eunseo by calling her a barking dog and throwing her things on the ground. Cheong shows up at the last moment, hears the whole awkward exchange, and then leaves quietly after Mijeol is done with her. The girl softly wonders if Mijeol is still the same, acting like she’s better than everyone else. Cheong just says, “Neither have you,” and leaves the room.

At the same time, Jabin is making Siru try on outfits for her business at the photoshoot. Siru’s exhaustion shows as her younger brother Gyeongdan calls them the ‘Giraffe Sisters,’ but the parents quickly put an end to it. Still, Jabin goes a step further, wondering why their mom decided to get remarried and welcome another man’s child. She asks Siru to explain how she got herself into the exclusive banquet. Siru panics.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 50 ends with Siru flustered, and at the same time, Jabin seems suspicious.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 50: Broken Books & Midnight Bonds

Cheong and Mijeol

Siru finally tells Jabin in My Lucky Strike Chapter 50 that the hotel owner’s son is just her friend, Cheong. Without hesitation, Jabin thinks about money and orders Siru to plan a dinner. “Huge opportunity,” she says. Siru isn’t happy about any of this, especially when Jabin loses her book while going off. That’s the final straw. Siru snaps and says Jabin is only after making money and building connections, nothing else. Jabin tries to say it’s for the family, but Siru shoots back: she’ll be okay without any help from anyone.

At the same time, Mijeol starts protesting when Cheong makes her go to bed to take her meds. Cheong makes her take the medication, then quietly takes a picture to show their mom. Mijeol, groggy from the medication, mutters about who was responsible for Cheong smiling today, making it sound like a bad thing. While she’s drifting off, her mom calls and talks about something in the U.S.

Hidden Truths

Later on, Siru sees the light and questions who else is up. While this is happening, Gyeongdan keeps texting his mom, curious about when she’s coming back. Cheong appears behind him. Gyeongdan teases him in the hallway for having sunglasses on at night. Cheong grabs Gyeongdan and lets him wear his glasses as they talk. Gyeongdan’s face lights up—they’re awesome. Cheong says he wears them so he doesn’t have to talk to people. He asks if he can use Cheong’s glasses, but Cheong says no and jokes that he should just buy some from his mom.

All of a sudden, Cheong gets emotional and says he longs for his mom. He softly tells Cheong, “Me too,” as he tries not to cry. While walking back to their rooms, Cheong hands over the glasses to him. Exactly then, his phone rings and it’s Siru. My Lucky Strike Chapter 50 ends as Siru gets there, and Cheong invites her for a walk so Gyeongdan can have some time by himself.
