My Lucky Strike’s Chapter 21: Sunglasses, Secrets, and Siru’s Strength

Siru, and Cheong (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)
Siru and Cheong (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)

Siru is left on the mysterious call at the beginning of My Lucky Strike’s Chapter 21. The call was over as fast as it started, and the woman only asked for Siru’s phone number. A message with an address follows shortly after, which confuses Siru. Setting aside her confusion, she tries to push Cheong’s head from the table once she realizes that his sunglasses are likely broken from the abrupt nap he took. She starts to pull them away, but Cheong hastily grabs her hand. She wonders why he even wears sunglasses indoors. Tonight, he’d had a sip, not that he ever drinks hardly at all, all for her pleasure. What mattered the most to him was making her smile. Cue: Siru blushing like a tomato.

Gukhwa and Siho appear when the group is confronted with the challenge: carrying the six-foot-long Cheong while he’s passed out. Outside, Gibaek stands watching, obviously disgruntled by the closeness between Siru and Cheong. When Gibaek sees Siru easily carrying Cheong on her back, her mouth flops open. She throws him into a cab, giving the address to the driver, surprising Gibaek. In response to Gibaek’s question of how she knew, Siru gets mad, obviously rattled by her feelings.

At home, Siru is torn by the different feelings she has for Gibaek and Cheong. Rather than letting her mind wander as she sits down and focuses on drawing, she remembers what Cheong had tutored her in – choosing calm over drama.

The driver at the destination awakens the dozing Cheong. Knocking on the window of the car, a woman of unknown identity wakes Cheong from his sleep. My Lucky Strike Chapter 21 ends with a humble knock and a suspenseful surprise waiting to start.

Chapter 22: Sketches, Fevers & Mixed Signals

Siru and Gibaek
Siru and Gibaek

As the team assembles for another mock-up meeting about their group work, My Lucky Strike Chapter 22 begins. Cheong is first, obviously not feeling his best. Siru then intervenes, with update notes in hand, and her mind flashes a few uncomfortable memories. She reminds him of being a drunken deadweight the night before, joking about the load that she had to carry. He, of course, remembers nothing. Trying to move things around, she is glad to show the artwork she drew because of his instructions. Although the sketch is quite amateurish, Cheong appreciates Siru’s try before telling her to speak quietly, confessing that he is feverish.

When Gukhwa and the others come in as if by surprise, Siru fusses over Cheong. Her hello to Gibaek goes unanswered, and there is a cold silence from him. She is angry and bumps into him with her shoulder and marches out to get medicine for Cheong and texts Gibaek, asking for a meeting outside.

She goes to him to discuss his weird behavior alone. Gibaek erupts, and we learn that he is in tremendous pain watching her take her steps towards Cheong. That night, after she confessed to him, he watched her kiss and thought it was just due to intoxication. Yet, her statement the next day affirmed that those feelings were real. He is lost, not knowing whether he has any right to feel that way. Siru tells us that the kiss was only a mistake.

Confused and jealous, Gibaek calls her out. “How do you just end up kissing someone?” he asks, coming closer. They grow mere inches apart as he growls, “Explain what that kiss meant”.

The end of My Lucky Strike Chapter 22 is so intense that you could almost draw it.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 23: Snowflakes & Mixed Feelings

Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)
Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)

Why is Siru taking so long? is Cheong’s first thought at the beginning of My Lucky Strike Chapter 23. Meanwhile, outside, Siru finally snaps. After Gibaek’s near-kiss experience, she slaps him, obviously surprised, and asks if he is under the influence or misbehaving. She forgives him for misjudging her intent, openly confessing that, for all that, she hasn’t stopped being touched by him. As she cries, she begins to walk away, only to be drawn in a silent embrace by Gibaek.

Siru’s mind races as she cries into him. Does he like me at all? Gibaek apologizes sweetly, comforts her by drying her tears, and tells them to go back to the meeting room. She agrees, but his lack of response continues to confound her, causing her to be all over the place with her emotions. The wide silence did not fail to bother her, which left her emotions all over the place.

After entering the room again, the group immediately calms down and continues working on their project. As Siru’s face turns visibly red, Cheong feels she’s very conflicted about Gibaek’s recent behavior. As soon as they all left the building, the sky started to sprinkle snow. Siru, Gukhwa, and Siho begin an unexpected snowball fight, showing that despite their grown-up shells, they’re all a little immature.

From the sidelines, Gibaek and Cheong observe the lively mess that is taking place. Gibaek playfully asks Cheong, “What’s your take on Siru?” Cheong tells Gibaek he finds her cute. Gibaek then goes and asks the question bluntly – does Cheong have any intention of dating Siru? Cheong waves it away, making a joke that he’s not interested. Gibaek, not impressed with Cheong’s response, tells him he’s being a jerk and walks out.

Cheong is left to himself, wondering how messy things are going to get.

As My Lucky Strike Chapter 23 comes near its end, snowflakes fall as a lingering tension lingers in the air.

Chapter 24: Surprise Knock at the Door

Siru and Jabin
Siru and Jabin

Siru goes back to her part-time modeling gig, uncomfortable in maneuvering in clothing that reveals so much more skin than she’d wish to, as My Lucky Strike Chapter 24 starts. She protests softly, clearly annoyed as her more practical and trendy older twin sister Jabin zips her into the next outfit. A fashionista though she is, Jabin has had enough of Siru’s ceaseless love issues. Simply, she tells Siru to get over her feelings for Gibaek and tells her to either go after him or risk it with Cheong, ‘the guy you kissed, right?’. She implies she can guide Siru through the situation, reminding her it’s time Siru faces her feelings.

At the same time, Gibaek is lying on the couch, looking like a dejected rom-com character. His older classmates wake him up, but he’s not in the mood for playful teasing. Gibaek blurts his emotional confusion and asks if they know what it’s like to be in a “sitationship”. His concerned friends are too busy planning brunch to think about any real help for him.

Back in class, Siru distracts herself once more, being overwhelmed by the feelings from Gibaek’s situation and Jabin’s continuous advice. Her phone buzzes to let her know there is another message from that unknown number. She reads, “We’ll meet soon”, and a shudder goes down her back.

At the end of the class, when people are leaving, Siru’s train of thought is broken when a sleek, high-end car screeches past her, even making her trip. It halts a step before it can reach Siru. A refined, collected woman gets out of the car, and her smile tells that she knows who Siru is.

The enigmatic individual comes out of the car and steps straight into Siru’s world as My Lucky Strike Chapter 24 ends.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 25: Girlfriend or Just Kidding?

Mijeol, and Siru (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)
Mijeol and Siru (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 25 starts with Siru about to jump out of her skin when the mystery woman from the fancy car reveals herself—and it’s Mijeol, the same woman who’d been involved in that near-murder Siru had stumbled into. Before Siru can do anything with it, Mijeol embraces her warmly and heaps her with compliments, telling how pretty she is and that Cheong is always talking about her. Gukhwa stands there in horror and believes Siru is getting kidnapped, and shouts at someone to stop her. But before someone can do anything, Mijeol takes Siru away to the hospital. Nope, a fancy restaurant with a table of food.

As it turns out, Mijeol doesn’t give a damn about Siru’s brush with death from a speeding car. “I’d have known,” she says as if she has got sixth sense insurance. Then she guilt-trips Siru, with the sweetest smile, into eating with her. While eating, Mijeol drops a bombshell: So you and Cheong have been dating for how long? Siru almost chokes on her kimchi. She’s pissed that everyone is always assuming she is with Cheong.

Attempting to remain composed, Siru flips the question and inquires about Mijeol’s relationship with Cheong. Mijeol smiles and tells him she’s his girlfriend, then laughs, calling it a prank. They’re just longtime friends. She even sticks her nose to see if Siru has a crush, but Siru brushes her off.

Then Siru sees Gibaek and his friends walking by the window. She runs out of the table, leaving a surprised Mijeol behind, who now understands that Cheong may be falling for a girl so obviously hung up on someone else.

With Mijeol watching this tangled triangle getting even messier, My Lucky Strike Chapter 25 ends.

Chapter 26: Soup, Sobs, and Secrets

Siru and Gibaek
Siru and Gibaek

My Lucky Strike Chapter 26 starts off with Cheong receiving a random call asking if he knows someone called Mijeol – and his puzzled silence is basically the end of it.

At the same time, at the posh restaurant, Siru has just seen Gibaek from outside, and runs after him. His buddies, obviously living the drama, mumble about how girls are always fond of Gibaek. Casually cool, Gibaek tells Siru that they’ll talk later, because he’s with his friends, not before gently wiping something off her face, leaving her stunned. She turns back and goes back inside, heart doing flips.

However, the emotional dam breaks. Siru collapses before the eyes of Mijeol, sobbing and spilling out her thoughts about Gibaek, Cheong, and all the confusion whirling around her. Mijeol, in an unexpected moment of tenderness, gives Siru a gentle kiss on the cheek to console her.

At that moment, Cheong bursts in and finds the loving scene. With no chill, he yanks Mijeol away, grabbing her hard, angrily, and frustrated. However, before things become even uglier, Mijeol cools him down by throwing a bowl of hot soup at him. Cheong freezes, stunned. Siru is standing there in complete shock as the understanding comes to her – this isn’t just any girl. Mijeol is the jealous woman, Rookie -Ryu had earlier spoken about.

And now she’s right there in the picture.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 26 concludes with soup on Cheong, confusion in Siru’s heart, and Mijeol officially being crowned the queen of chaos.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 27: Soup-Stained Hearts and Apologies

Mijeol, and Cheong (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)
Mijeol and Cheong (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)

With Mijeol acting like everything’s okay and that she and Siru should go hit the mall – ’cause, you know, Mijeol’s dress got a little ruined from the chaos earlier, My Lucky Strike Chapter 27 starts. Siru, in shock from the soup incident, nervously asks if Cheong is alright. He, with deadpan honesty, says, “No”. I’m not.”

Things get out of hand fast when Mijeol tries to pull Siru along. She throws accusations about Cheong being disrespectful to Siru and tightens her grip as if she’s going to wrestle. Cheong intervenes, but before things blow up again, Mijeol’s phone rings, and all of a sudden her whole vibe flips.

On the other end? Cheong’s mom.

Mijeol turns pale and meekly gives the phone to him. Cheong’s mom just asks if they’re together and if Mijeol is okay. He just looks at Mijeol and silently asks, “What do I say?”. Mijeol, in a sudden puppy dog-like manner, whispers, “Tell her nothing happened”. That’s exactly what Cheong does, hanging up with a sigh.

Over with the drama, Cheong calls for Mijeol to apologize to Siru, so they can leave in peace. And poof, Mijeol melts once more, offers a very practiced apology, strides off, and offhandedly promises they’ll “see each other again”.

Cheong, who is left with the emotional and financial bill, pays up and gently nurses Siru’s hand injury. He truly apologizes for this entire mess. Siru offers to go to her house and wipe off the soup that still sticks to his clothes.

As he enters her place again, Cheong can’t help but think – of all the ways he imagined returning here, this wasn’t one of them. Soup, surprise visits, and a knot of emotions growing between the pair mark the end of My Lucky Strike Chapter 27.

Chapter 28: Shampoo Scents and Shenanigans

Siru and Cheong and Gibaek
Siru and Cheong, and Gibaek

My Lucky Strike Chapter 28 starts with Siru falling to the floor from sheer exhaustion after a soap opera-worthy day. Her phone rings with a call from Gukhwa, but she bails on it – too tired to explain anything. At the same time, Cheong comes out of the shower to find Siru lying half-asleep on the floor. Anxious (and only halfway dressed), he wakes her up and requests a shirt. That’s when fate comes up with the idea to stir the pot again.

Ding-dong. Guess who? Gukhwa.

Siru panics and prays that he’ll just walk away. Nope–Gukhwa walks in flippantly using the passcode like it’s his place. What does he see? A Cheong wrapped in a towel and a flustered Siru. Classic misunderstanding moment.

Gukhwa runs away in an instant, leaving behind a dazed silence and a confused Cheong. Siru throws a shirt at Cheong and runs to call Gukhwa to explain. He says he understands (though he doesn’t), and he will keep this scandal to himself. Cheong, all spruced up and a little embarrassed, promises Siru that he’ll take care of Mijeol for good.

On his way out, he notes Siru’s shampoo – guess the scent’s unforgettable.

Fast forward to Cheong’s place. Who’s standing there in full glam as though she’s about to present an awards show? Mijeol.

She smirks and knows all about Siru’s “tragic little crush”. Then asks off-hand if he just came from Siru’s. Before he could answer, she dropped a flirty bomb – “Your hair smells nice!”.

Cheong is standing there paralyzed while Mijeol is playing the mind games; she is the only one who knows how to master.

With the smell of trouble and a large dose of confusion, My Lucky Strike Chapter 28 concludes.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 29: Kimchi, Gossip & a Dose of Chaos

Jabin, and Bang-A (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)
Jabin and Bang-A (My Lucky Strike Chapter 21-30)

My Lucky Strike Chapter 29 starts with Mijeol at a club, which is abuzz – but surprise, the party girl is bored. Why? Since she’s officially obsessed with her new “girl crush” Siru, and now binge-liking every one of her modeling posts like a true social media stalker.

Cut to the next day: Siru is on a mission. She picks up Gukhwa and tries to sweep the chaotic misunderstanding from last night with her shouting just a bit too loudly. Unluckily, Bang-A and her girl gang hear the whole thing. Cue judgmental glances and gossip mode on. Siru is left bewildered and frustrated and ends up blaming poor Gukhwa, who, to be fair, had banged his way in at the worst possible moment.

At the same time, our cool queen Jabin is on her way to Siru’s school to bring some homemade kimchi like a good big sis. But her real agenda? Peeeking at the mysterious Gibaek, of course.

As Jabin is making her way onto campus, who should she bump into but none other than Bang-A and her gossip circle in the midst of discussing – you guessed it – Siru. Nonchalant and collected, Jabin walks over, inquires about directions, and sticks her nose into their conversation. The girls? Instantly starstruck. Standing tall, with model vibes and a glam aura, Jabin has them wondering if she’s some celebrity in disguise.

With gossip spreading, glam entering, and Siru’s life taking another lap into dramatic confusion, My Lucky Strike Chapter 29 concludes.

Chapter 30: Snapshots, Sibling Drama & Breadcrumbs

Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek
Siru, Cheong, and Gibaek

My Lucky Strike Chapter 30 starts with Bang-A wanting to bounce from the gossip scene, fearing it’s about to get messy – but Jabin, as always the wildcard, pulls her back, taunting her as a human GPS and demanding directions to Gibaek At the same time, Gukhwa and Siru finally resolve the air and their misunderstanding with a peaceful truce.

Over on campus, Cheong is working hard on his spatial design project, clicking photos of various campus corners when he sees Siru and Gukhwa deep in conversation. Gukhwa, as ever curious, asks Siru point-blank if she’s crushing on Cheong. Siru just outrightly denies it – her heart is all about Gibaek. But then her mind plays the last night’s memory back: Cheong’s eyes, his chiseled body… and wow, even his personality? The girl’s flustered. Exactly when she gets lost in her Cheong-thought spiral, he quietly takes a photo from afar.

Elsewhere, Gibaek is acting as the caring elder to a classmate as Jabin dramatically enters the scene with Bang-A. Bang-a runs to tell Gibaek that the stylish tornado is in some way associated with Siru. Jabin sizes Gibaek up and silently condemns his not-so-chic ensemble, but lets it slide, with a casual mention that he’s a “breadcrumbing” guy. Ouch.

My Lucky Strike Chapter 30 concludes with new connections being made, with little crushes turning into something more, and the love triangle getting more heated up – Jabin’s sass, Cheong’s quiet admiration, and Siru’s fluttering confusion making things hotter.
