In My Bias Gets on the Last Train, the different worlds of two music-loving strangers- Haein and Yeowoon- collide with a series of coincidental encounters in the subway station. Haein, the artist behind the Long Afternoon band, tries to conceal her identity from Yeowoon, who’s coincidentally a Long Afternoon superfan, while sparks fly between them. Previously, in In My Bias Gets on the Last Train, a figure from Yeowoon’s past tries to force a reentry into his life and starts to mess with him. Meanwhile, Haein inspires Ina, a media artist, during the production of her new music video with Hyeonjae, a popular indie artist. Let’s see what happens in My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 26-30!
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 26: Beyond the Wildest of Dreams

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 26 begins with the evolution of Yeowoon’s big future dreams into demanding present priorities over the course of his life in the form of interviews. Yeowoon, as a young kid, wanted to be an astronaut or an architect like his father. As he transitioned into an adult, his childhood enthusiasm was replaced by the desire to gain financial independence to give his single father a break.
The string of interviews ends on a theater screen, and Ah-Reun wakes Yeowoon up from where he’d passed out in the audience. Having a lecture in a few minutes, Ah-Reun holds out her hand, and they make a break for it. They dash into the street, talking about a movie filmed based on a normal life and pointing out hilarious incidents like their nose-picking professor. Ah-Reun decides to treat Yeowoon to a fine-dining restaurant where she serves him three dishes- a fancy meal, a plate garnished with her favourite movies, and an array of cold medicine. Yeowoon thanks her for opening a new world to him as she hands him a bill, saying, “If we run away and act like it didn’t happen, it’s free.”
Suddenly, the lights of the restaurant wink out. Ah-Reun deserts Yeowoon in an empty street. Just when he begins to feel extremely lost, Haein floats down from the heavens, Mary Poppins-style (how oddly metaphorical). She tells Yeowoon to take her hand before the world ends… and the dream fades into blackness. Yeowoon wakes up from his ridiculous dream in the library and stretches his lethargy away.
It Must Be the Whiskey

Later that night, Ms. Oh gives Yeowoon whiskey chocolates to share with Haein (in her eternal quest for their relationship to turn ‘spicy’). He finds Haein on the usual bench putting a playlist together and gives her a chocolate (which she enjoys despite her dislike for sweets).
At 5 AM, Yeowoon, working on a project, sees a Long Afternoon post announcing a playlist recommendation. He presses play and unknowingly dozes off while listening to the songs… providing his brain another opportunity for a weird dream. Continuing where he’d left off- as the world ends, Haein says, “As long as we’re together, wherever we go, that place shall be our new world.” Yeowoon wakes up blushing from the following steamy dream scene, concluding My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 26.
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 27: A Harmless Cafe Customer

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 27 begins as Ah-Reun shows up at the cafe again. But unlike last time, she doesn’t try to start a conversation and simply places her order, dumbfounding Yeowoon. For the next few days, she makes a daily appearance at the shop, and Ms. Oh excitedly informs Yeowoon that they have a new regular customer.
When Ah-Reun asks for stamp cards one day, Ms. Oh comments about her surprisingly old-fashioned taste. Yeowoon explains how that was just her ‘style’; Ah-Reun loved collecting souvenirs and hard copies as keepsakes. When his excess of knowledge on their unknown cafe regular piques Ms. Oh’s interest, she curiously inquires if he knew her. Yeowoon doesn’t elaborate on their relationship or complicated past, and just calls her a college acquaintance. Ms. Oh sees through his clear lie (I mean, come on, he knew about Ah-Reun’s Blu-ray movie copies) but doesn’t press him on the subject. He was clearly evading her questions for a reason. Plus, it was always better to watch his love life unfold from a distance (she’s K-drama obsessed, can you tell?).
A Shoulder to Rest On

After his shift, Yeowoon walks to the subway station in a state of mental turmoil. He’d applied for his summer internship, he was extremely busy with work and college, he still had job hunting to think about, and to top it all off, Ah-Reun had shown up out of nowhere. He enters the terminal to find Haein sleeping on the bench- looks like he wasn’t the only exhausted one. Sensing his presence, she opens an eye and stirs awake. Haein nestles into his shoulder for a quick catnap, and upon request, Yeowoon puts an arm around her shoulders to keep her in place. That brief moment in the station with her melts his worries away. ‘I want to run away, ‘ he finds himself thinking, ‘And just spend the whole day with Haein.’
Later, leaving the station, Yeowoon stops to take a selfie for his nightly text exchange with Haein. Just as he’s about to click the photo, an unknown number rings out. Yeowoon warily answers a familiar voice, concluding My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 27.
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 28: The First Train Departed Long Ago

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 28 begins as Yeowoon stiffly asks Ah-Reun why she’d called him. Over the phone, Ah-Reun casually tells him that she just wanted to check on him before bed. Although Yeowoon tries to hang up, she keeps him on the line. She reassures him that she meant him no harm. In fact, she only visited the cafe because it was close to her new job and she loved the place. Uncomfortable with the entire conversation, Yeowoon resolves to hang up with her, when out of the blue, she asks if he was in love with someone.
When Yeowoon doesn’t answer, Ah-Reun takes it for a ‘yes’. She tells him she doesn’t need anything from him and starts reminiscing about the past. They always used to hang out at a 24-hour cafe and wait for the first train together. Irritated with the sudden trip down memory lane, Yeowoon finally puts a stop to the one-sided conversation. “It’s just a story to me,” he tells her, “Nothing will change.” Before hanging up, Ah-Reun tells him to visit her anytime.
The Last Train Is Arriving
Left in silence, Yeowoon desperately wonders why Ah-Reun was toying with him. ‘Just keep your distance and avoid her,’ he says to himself. A notification pops up on his phone, lighting up his face. It was Haein. She’d sent him an adorable picture while wearing an animal face mask. Yeowoon smiles, thinking, ‘When the time comes, everything will fall into place.’
The next night, Yeowoon greets Haein at the station again. He asks about the book she was flipping through- a paperback full of highlighted verses of poetry- and inquires about her love of reading. She was a slow reader and only read when she had the time. Haein explains that if she had enough money, she’d collect all her favourite things- records, instruments, books- and keep them all in one room. My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 28 concludes as Yeowoon asks Haein out to dinner.
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 29: I’ve Got Dinner Plans

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 29 begins as Yeowoon hums while stirring a drink on his shift. Ms. Oh asks him about his good mood, and Yeowoon mentions the upcoming day off (and hides the fact that he had a date with Haein!). Ms. Oh tries to persuade him to eat dinner with him, but to no avail. Yeowoon leaves the cafe to take out the trash, wondering why Ms. Oh seemed more lonely than usual, and ran into none other than Ah-Reun.
He tries to walk past her, but she blocks his exit. She tells him that if he hated her so much, he should shove past her. When he doesn’t cooperate, she pulls on a tiny strand of his hair. Yeowoon jumps in surprise and angrily swivels around. “What do I have to do for you to forgive me, and be friends again?” she pleads with him. When her apology eventually derails into another mind game, Yeowoon finally stomps away from her.

Meanwhile, Haein, Ina, and Hyeonjae review their music video in a meeting room. Ina hands Haein a brochure of her independent artist crew. She offers to put together a Long Afternoon music video, completely free of charge. Both groups would enjoy extra publicity; it was a win-win. “And honestly, it’s out of pure fandom!” Ina says passionately. She gives Haein some time to think about the tremendous opportunity, and before Haein leaves, Hyeonjae invites her out for dinner. However, she declines without giving it a second thought. Hyeonjae tells Ina that he was trying to sign Haein on to his label, concluding My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 29.
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 30: Too Hot Too Handle

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 30 begins as Yeowoon ends up at their rendezvous point. ‘It feels completely different,’ he thinks; meeting Haein outside of their usual encounters made him more shy than usual. He uses the extra time to nervously examine his hair and face (and even his nose hairs), before Haein approaches him, scaring the daylights out of him. She mischievously assures him that he didn’t have any nose hairs sticking out. Yeowoon leads the way to the restaurant, “Haein ssi, can you handle spicy food?”
They reach a restaurant, famous for its extra-spicy jjambbong, and Yeowoon explains that there were spice levels up to four. He orders a level three and tells Haein to start basic if she couldn’t take spice. But to his surprise, when they order, Haein asks for a level six (there’s a secret system up to eight). Yeowoon realizes with dread that not only did she know about his restaurant, but she was a spice maniac. Not to be outdone, he grumpily resolves to order the same jjambbong as her. Soon, the waiters serve two steaming hot bowls of red noodles. ‘How spicy can it really be?’ he thinks, severely underestimating the dish.
After their meal, Yeowoon (holding his stomach in pain) sits beside Haein (completely fine) outside. She decides to take the lead on their date, which, so far, consisted of a very deep conversation where Yeowoon kept yelling ‘spicy’- and leads them to a small bar. Watching the live music with beers under the neon lights, Yeowoon realizes he is now in Haein’s world. He hopes he had a chance at real love, concluding My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 30.
