My Bias Gets on the Last Train centers around the unexpectedly wholesome harmony between two strangers on the subway. Yeowoon, a busy college student with a passion for music, runs into Haein, a young musician with a secret identity as the indie band Long Afternoon. As they navigate their busy lives, these two perfect strangers overcome their hidden insecurities in a crescendo of friendship, trust, and adorable flirting. Previously in My Bias Gets on the Last Train, Yeowoon and Haein find themselves thrust into a silly misunderstanding. Not to fear, they eventually solve the issue by talking to Ms. Oh and Haein’s uncle (communication rocks!). But will their friendship stand the test… of the return of an ex in My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 21-25!
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 21: A Blast From the Past

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 21 begins as Yeowoon shows up at the cafe for his shift and immediately catches the attention of Ms. Oh, who wants a detailed explanation of his night with Haein. While she pesters Yeowoon for specifics, Shinyoung, ready for her share of juicy details, pops up behind them. Irritated, Yeowoon tells her to go home (and as a side note, advises her not to go linking arms with people and causing misunderstandings).
Suddenly, while serving a customer, Yeowoon hears someone shout ‘Ah-Reun’. The familiar name knocks the wind out of him as a faint memory of a pale-haired girl he used to know resurfaces. I’ve moved on, he assures himself, that person means nothing to me now. A few days later, Yeowoon perches on his usual train station bench in exhaustion. Listing out a shopping list on his fingers, he slowly nods sleep.
Yeowoon, sitting beside a blonde girl in a similar subway setting, asks her why she hadn’t attended their freshman welcome party. The girl explains that she hated noisy places and small talk, but Yeowoon seems more concerned that she wouldn’t make any friends. She seems to consider his argument and, in a way eerily similar to Haein, asks him if he’ll stay by her side. She offers him her cigarette before the dream dissolves away into nothingness. (Ahreun is a lot similar to Ra-im from Operation True Love!)
You Never Know, Bathrooms Can Be Dangerous

A faint voice yells his name, and Yeowoon suddenly wakes up to reality. Haein sits beside him on the subway bench, asking him if he has fallen asleep. He rubs the sleep away from his tired eyes, realizing that he must’ve dozed off. The dream still fresh in his mind, he uneasily thinks, ‘Why am I suddenly dreaming about the past…?’ The idea of thinking about her beside Haein made him uncomfortable.
He brushes the thought away and excitedly shows Haein that Long Afternoon had been featured on the cover of an indie playlist recommendation. She watches his face light up as he talks about the band’s growing popularity and tells him to keep his phone with him at all times. Even in the bathroom. Living alone, he might get stuck inside with no way to call for help. The strange segue to talking about his phone slightly confuses Yeowoon, but he remembers to keep it in mind.
That night, sorting through his fridge, he suddenly realizes that Haein must’ve brought up his phone to hint at exchanging numbers. Annoyed that he hadn’t realized it sooner, Yeowoon resolves to ask for her number first the next day. Suddenly, a social media notification pops up on his phone: Long Afternoon was holding a live stream….?! Meanwhile, in her room, Haein gets ready to record a live performance, concluding My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 21.
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 22: For the Fans

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 22 begins as Haein practices with the rest of the band. After their jam session, one of her bandmates, Ji-Won, curiously asks her why she’d suddenly agreed to perform live with Hyeonjae. Haein reflects on the day in the music studio with Hyeonjae, when she’d finally been convinced to climb out of her shell.
Hyeonjae had played her a new version of their track, produced by a rock studio, that aligned more with Long Afternoon’s style. Hearing the sound, Haein was immediately over the moon. It was perfect. Hyeonjae had seized that moment to ask her to perform live with him. Inspired by another rock band, he’d had the idea to cover Haein with a translucent curtain on stage to protect her anonymity and induce a sense of intrigue. Even though the production would be more expensive, he still wanted to allow her to perform. Hyeonjae cared about his fans and didn’t want to disappoint them. “Music only exists if someone listens to it,” he says.
Midnight Performance

The sentiment had resonated with Haein, and she’d found herself unwilling to let her fans, especially a certain person on the last train home, down. And that’s how she agreed to the performance. Ji-Won listens with interest, seeming a little disturbed that Hyeonjae had convinced her, and advises her to prepare herself for her first live performance (because high school talent shows don’t count). The film crew would be watching, and she couldn’t afford to mess up.
Haein walks into the subway, still deep in thought, and finds Yeowoon asleep on the bench. She wakes him up, wondering how hard job hunting must be, and decides to help him out in her own way. She tells him to keep his phone with him to make sure he wouldn’t miss out on what Long Afternoon would do next.
That night, Yeowoon stares spellbound at the city scenery reflected in Long Afternoon’s live stream like it’s the most entertaining action film in history. Meanwhile, Haein sits on her bed with her ukulele. Positive that Yeowoon must be listening to her, she begins to sing softly for her fans. Chapter 22 concludes as her voice carries through the small screen of Yeowoon’s phone, instantly mesmerizing him.
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 23: A Selfie Sonata

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 23 begins as Long Afternoon croons her space-themed, poetic lyrics about finding something inexplicably beautiful in the midst of uncertainty. A short song later, the live stream abruptly ends. In his room, Yeowoon cries out in disappointment- he wanted more! He sits in numb silence for a moment, pondering why Long Afternoon had decided to perform out of the blue, before jumping up in complete euphoria. “It was so good!” he yells. He flops onto his bed, hoping that Haein would’ve attended Long Afternoon’s brief concert too.
Meanwhile, Haein buries her face in her pillow in embarrassment. ‘It was a total mess!’ she thinks with devastation; she’d been completely out of tune. She wonders whether every musician’s first performance had been that humiliating. Even so, she hopes her fans enjoyed the spontaneous live stream.
Can I Have Your Number?

The next day, Haein sneaks up behind Yeowoon at the train station and scares the life out of him. But when he asks her if she’d caught Long Afternoon’s 2 AM live performance, she pretends not to know about it. His opinion starts off negatively: the mic quality was bad, singing was too quiet… and it was weird (Haein melts with humiliation). But then he perks up and explains how much he loved the intimate vibe. “I hope she does another live!” he exclaims.
Changing the topic, he asks Haein for her number. Although she agrees to give it to him, she explains that online communication ‘scared her a little’. Due to her past history with negative comments and texts, she’d become uncomfortable talking to a person without seeing their face. Yeonwoo compromises to just send her a ‘good night’ text to make sure she’d reached home safely.
That night, Haein checks her phone and finds a message from Yeowoon… along with a bad selfie of himself. ‘You said you feel uneasy when you can’t see the other person’s face,’ he sends. She begins laughing when she realizes he was trying to make her more comfortable with texting. She sends him her own selfie in reply. Yeowoon blushes at her picture, calls her ‘beautiful’ and saves the photo to the gallery, concluding Chapter 23.
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 24: Love at First Strum

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 24 begins as Haein stares at Yeowoon’s exceptionally terrible selfie (it might be terrible… but she’s still staring at it). She resolves to teach him how to take better pictures the next time they meet. Gi-Hoon, her bandmate, appears behind Haein while she analyses the photo and jumpscares her.
He takes her to Hyeonjae for their live performance and notices her extra bag. When he asks if she’d brought a special outfit, she mysteriously replies with ‘kind of’. Hyeonjae introduces Haein to their media artist, Ina, who immediately realizes that keeping Haein anonymous wasted her enormous visual potential. Nevertheless, she doesn’t say anything. Haein pulls out a small, shoddily crafted headpiece with leaves and antlers to show everyone. Since their song was called ‘Ecosystem’, she wanted to wear it for the shoot.
Although everyone seems skeptical about Haein’s art project, Ina decides to give it a try. Wearing her antlers, Haein begins strumming behind the curtain, to an otherworldly breathtaking effect that mystifies everyone in the room. Ina casually excuses herself to ‘smoke’ and squats on the sidewalk, completely entranced. She scrolls through Long Afternoon’s posts and listens to the band’s music with a growing addiction. Ina feels an overwhelming sense of pride, knowing that discovering new artists like Haein was why she did her job.
Later, Yeowoon takes a break between his shifts and ends up using the time to look at Haein’s photo. ‘I want, like, a million of them,’ he realizes, staring at her selfie. After his break finishes, he heads out to attend to the customers. A familiar voice grabs his attention, and Yeowoon swivels around to face Ah-Reun, concluding Chapter 24.
My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 25: Not My Forte

My Bias Gets on the Last Train Chapter 25 begins as Yeowoon coldly addresses Ah-Reun despite her friendliness. She begins to ask him questions, catching up with him like an old friend, but he shuts down her attempts at an amiable conversation. “I just came to see your face today anyway,” she says, asking him for his recommendation on what she should order. Pettily, he suggests the most expensive drink.
<p>

Ah-Reun forges onward on her lonesome path to restoring their past friendship and reminds him of her liking to sweet drinks. “Back then, we were both young, and now a lot of time has passed, right?” she says, trying to get him to open up. None of her tactics work on him, and he tells her not to bother him. Still smiling, she leaves him with the promise to return to the cafe.
After she disappears, Yeowoon’s mind races with all the past memories of betrayal and heartbreak. He never thought he’d see Ah-Reun again. How was he supposed to deal with this new situation?!
Smooth Flirting

That night, Yeowoon sits on the bench, exhausted after a long day at work. Haein walks up, clicking a few photos of him, before she sits down. She teaches Yeowoon how to take proper photos by taking his phone (and joking about turning a blind eye to his pictures of ‘sexy girls’) and clicking a selfie of them. Haein tells him to take better pictures so that she can save them in her gallery. When she asks him if he’d saved her selfies, he blushes and tells her that he did. “So you did have sexy girl photos saved,” she jokes, flustering him easily.
That night, they exchanged pictures again (and thanks to Haein, Yeowoon’s selfie skills improved tremendously). While saving her photo, a few pictures of Ah-Reun accidentally pop up. He thought he’d deleted all of them, but a few escaped. Swallowing the bitter taste of his past with her, he deletes the picture, concluding Chapter 25.
