Love Bites Chapter 21 dives into the most heated moment yet between Kieran and Mason. The pressure on and off the pitch is at its maximum as Mason pushes to make Kieran confess his true feelings. But Kieran’s heart is torn between worry, desire, and pride. He snaps back with sharp words. And even sharper fangs. Love Bites Chapter 21 exposes just how messy things have become as accusations are hurled and old wounds are reopened. Is it hatred, hunger, or something more? Whatever that is, neither of the boys is walking away unscathed this time.
Love Bites Chapter 21: Kieran’s Bite or Break?

Love Bites Chapter 21 begins with the stadium’s shouts as the commentator calls out. Kane is down! Kieran freezes, eyes locked on Mason lying on the field. Cella pokes him and asks him to calm down. Then, with her signature best-friend bluntness, she leans closer and teases. She asks if he is actually worried or just hungry for Mason’s blood. This question absolutely shocks Kieran. The fact that she is even asking makes him second-guess himself.
The crowd cheers as Mason finally gets up and brushes himself off, as though nothing had happened. But Kieran can sense it; Mason is hurt, even if he refuses to show it. And for reasons Kieran cannot yet explain, the worry bubbling in his chest feels too big. Why does he feel so much for Mason? And worse – does Mason feel it, with this much intensity?
Kieran recalls saying to Mason that he wants to hurt him rather than kiss him. However, the reality is that he does not feel any hate for Mason. He does not want to hurt Mason. Not even a little. He is even worried about him. When halftime starts and the cheerleaders, including Maria, take the field, Keiran notices Mason running away. Cella bends down to Kieran and tells him that he is missing out on Maria’s show. But Kieran hardly hears her. His eyes are already following Mason, who runs away somewhere alone. Kieran does not hesitate. He follows him. He catches up to Mason in a quiet place and calls out. Mason turns around, sharp and defensive. “Go away,” he snaps. He tells Keiran to stop pretending like he cares.

Fangs & Feelings: When Words Bite Harder

Kieran’s reply is so soft, even he’s surprised: “But what if I do care?” That shocks Mason for half a second — and then his rage returns with even hotter. Mason glares back at him, spits the words like venom: “You’re the problem.” He calls him a vampire as though it is a curse and ridicules the fact that Cella is being fooled into thinking that Kieran is a good guy in some way. Then, with a final dagger, Mason growls at Keiran, calling him heartless. And he wishes to had never met him.
That one stings. Kieran actually flinches, his chest tightening with hurt. But he masks it with anger and steps forward and warns Mason to back off. Mason does not retreat. Instead, he smirks darkly and goads him: “Or what? You gonna bite me?” That is the final straw. Kieran’s fangs come out, sharp and glinting. He steps closer, voice a low growl now: “Heh, Maybe I will.. Maybe you’ll beg me to.” The air between the two is so charged with tension, you can almost hear it sizzling with equal parts anger, hurt, and something neither of them can name yet. Love Bites Chapter 21 ends with Kieran standing there, fangs showing, Mason glaring at him. And the unspoken truth hangs heavy between them. Whatever this is, it is definitely far from over.
What Happened So Far?

Kieran is a young, brooding vampire who has always led a life full of caution and fear. He avoids trouble, conceals his powers of charmspeak, all while protecting his already fragile heart. But all that changes when Mason, infuriatingly charming and mysterious werewolf, transfers into his high school. Their hot encounters that begin with distrust and disdain soon turn into forbidden attraction after a heated kiss in the locker room.
Kieran feels conflicted by his feelings. Because he has to choose between his best friend Cella (who begins dating Mason) and his own mixed feelings towards the wolf he is expected to despise. In the meantime, old rivalries between werewolves and vampires are rekindled, and the two groups settle in a very fragile truce. We, the readers, get to know more about Keiran’s family. From the sacrifice of his dead mother, Cedric’s ruthless nature, and his dangerous ability of charmspeak that runs in his blood, his life has not been easy.
Cella also gets to know the Mason’s but tries to support Kieran and keep peace. Mason also admits that he is the successor of the Kane Pack and is cursed with an alpha complex. The boys continue to circle around each other, fighting, flirting, and lying. Until Kieran is forced on a double date with Mason, Cella, and Maria to keep up appearances. In Love Bites Chapter 20, Mason starts avoiding him, which throws Kieran further into frustration and worry.
