I Love Yoo Chapter 25 begins with Shin-Ae and her daily struggles. When she gets home from the supermarket, she finds her father in bad shape, vomiting in the bathroom. “Are you all right?” she asks with a smile. He brushes it off with, “It’s nothing but a hangover”. This season reveals more about her life at home. It becomes clear that Shin-ae puts things together. Her father is unemployed and spends most of his time drinking, leaving her responsible for supporting him and herself.
At school, her friends invite her for a happy vacation. Shin-ae, on the other hand, is clearly confused and weighed down by the challenges she quietly deals with at home. Although he replies, “I’d love to,” her words are hollow.

Suddenly, Kousuke breaks the silence and asks rather bluntly, “Can you tell me the position you’re applying for?” His tone is contemptuous, clearly limiting his potential. Kousuke seems to believe that Shin-ae is not suited for a corporate environment. But Shin-ae, who is quick to excuse herself, replies, “I’m applying for a call center representative position, which isn’t really a corporate job.” Her friends, who saw the exchange, felt sorry for her and realized the tension between them.
At the end of the I Love Yoo Chapter 26, we see Shin-ae and Kousuke at a coffee shop. In a rare moment of vulnerability, Kousuke asks about his family and siblings, revealing a softer, more inquisitive side. Surprised by his gesture, Shin-ae asks why he’s doing this, especially since he was also frozen. This brief exchange is full of chemistry, creating a tension that Kousuke can’t ignore as he watches closely. Jealous and angry, Kousuke tries to ruin their time with a riot of “eating manners and punctuality”.
When the food arrives, Kousuke says that he doesn’t like the fried chicken burger because he doesn’t like it. Meanwhile, Shin-ae and Yeong-gi start eating, and Kousuke feels even more let down, watching her spontaneous speech and laughter with a mixture of jealousy and disappointment, and can’t help but stare at her with the food. He took the burger, but as soon as he took a bite it was hit with strong spices, something he clearly wasn’t expecting!
I Love Yoo Chapter 27 ends, Shin-ae bursts out laughing at his reaction, unable to get over Kousuke who looks like he’s packing up to struggle with the heat The scene is hilariously awkward as Kousuke quickly runs to the bathroom. Then Nol says “Next time I choose a restaurant!” Yeong-gi looks at Shin-ae with a playful smile. “Whenever you say it!” Shin-ae replies ending I Love Yoo Chapter 27.
Chapter 28: The Distance Between Us
I Love Yoo Chapter 28 starts with a light exchange of conversation between Shin-ae and Yeong-gi (Nol) as they walk together. “You ordered fried chicken after the burger—how could you eat that much?” Shin-ae teases. Their banter is soft and warm, showing how comfortable they’ve become with each other. Meanwhile, Kousuke follows them, and trying to interrupt, quips, “You’re fun to mess with”. Shin-ae, not missing a beat, replies, “I’ll block your number,” adding to the playful atmosphere.
Arriving at the car, Shin-ae and Yeong-gi sit in the back together while Kousuke sits in the driver’s seat. “Miss You, can you share your information so the driver can drop you off?” Kousuke asks, trying to sound helpful. But she withdraws his hand and suggests, “Just take me to the nearest bus stop”. He insists that he’s worried it’s too cold and dark to go home alone.
During the ride, Shin-ae starts to fall asleep, and Yeong-gi notices and asks if she’s tired. She finally falls asleep, and the ever-thoughtful Yeong-gi gently covers her with his coat. After a few moments, she wakes up and takes in a faint comforting scent from her clothes. Knowing it’s Yeong-gi’s turn, she smiles quietly, touched by his small hand. He compliments her saying she looks beautiful when she’s asleep—and Kousuke feels jealous seeing all this. I Love Yoo Chapter 28 ends with Yeong-gi asking her out, and she says “Yes!”
I Love Yoo Chapter 29: Fleeting Moments
In I Love Yoo Chapter 29, the story begins with a glimpse of Shin-ae’s daily life as she flips through her chemistry notebook, revealing her determination to stay on top of her studies She realizes she needs to question another book and goes to the library to borrow one. Glancing under her arm, she remembers her recent moment with Yeong-gi (Nol)—she blushes as she remembers the warmth of his hand, the thoughtfulness of borrowing her clothes he even snorts at the thought of those “two fools, ” how siblings can be so different she wonders.
Renewed in her determination to start earning money, Shin-A applies for a part-time job at the McDonald’s on Hirarhara Street. The next morning, he heads to the library, however, two classmates distract him ruining his morning mood. Their teasing leads to an argument, and the librarian eventually kicks them out as the cause of the incident. Undeterred, Shin-ae refocuses—until she gets an unexpected call from McDonald’s, which is scheduled to open that afternoon at 3 p.m. She mixes excitement and fear as she waits for this opportunity.
I Love Yoo Chapter 29 ends with Shin-ae arriving at McDonald’s for an interview, feeling a mixture of anxiety. Just as she’s about to enter, she encounters a helpful surprise—Yeong-gi’s younger sister and the Hirahara brothers, who happen to walk by and give her words of encouragement, “You can do this!”
Chapter 30: Confronting the Truth
I Love Yoo Chapter 30, begins the story with a mysterious phone call from the Hirahara brothers’ mother saying, “Shin-ae is here”. Meanwhile, Shin-ae gets the unexpected news that she got the job at McDonald’s. Surprised that she was hired so quickly, she is both excited and a little nervous about starting his first job so soon. As she sorts out her papers, Shin-ae tries to calm her overwhelmed mind, “I’m being so paranoid”.
Soon after, Shin-ae meets Hirahara’s mother, who approaches her with a friendly but slightly creepy air. She feels uncomfortable and wonders if she should apologize for her misunderstandings or mistakes in the past. However, the Hirahara matriarch seems quiet, engaging in conversation, and says how she admires people’s honesty, as she states, “I like an honest girl”!
Elsewhere, we move to where Kousuke’s sister visits him at the office. He wants to know why his lazy brother is suddenly so curious. Apparently annoyed by her quest, Kousuke dismisses her with a quick spray of cologne. Meanwhile, Yeong-gi arrives at the office seemingly in a trance, but his presence sparks lingering family tensions, especially in Kousuke the floor of whom he noisily gives some cards
I Love Yoo Chapter 30 ends with a touching moment when Hirahara’s mother gently tries to connect with her. As soon as they start talking, his daughter calls him and immediately asks where he is. When Hirahara’s mother realizes something is wrong, she rushes over and seems sad and confrontational.
I Love Yoo Chapter 31: It’s No Use
I Love Yoo chapter 31 begins with humor and awkwardness permeating the scene as Hirahara’s sister performs a giant spoon sporting disastrous make-up. This provokes laughter and her spotty eyes from everyone around Shin-ae he feels he is getting to know her better but he doesn’t really put it in place he saw it before he could. Hirahara’s mother gives her daughter a solution to remove this makeup in an attempt to diffuse the situation, “Here you go, honey, clean your face in the bathroom”. “You can be one of us!”
However, when the sister starts acting strangely, the mood quickly changes, and she oddly asks ” What kind of job you are doing?”. The conversation turns when we see Nol reviewing job applications, paying particular attention to Shin-Ae’s. She thinks of reaching out to him but in the end, he hesitates and sends no message.
And being a brat, the sister is disrespectful, and Shin-ae responds with a reply, but the situation escalates when her sister takes her hand and insists, “You can’t just leave until you apologize”. At this crucial moment, Kousuke enters the place sensing the growing conflict, ending I Love Yoo Chapter 31
