Kousuke and Personal Assistance

I Love Yoo Chapter 37 begins at MacD’s, where the boss welcomes the new team members. He says, “Welcome, team.” “You will receive your first payment in the second week, and we will send you an email with more information.” We see that Shin-ae and a few others have just joined the party.

Soon after, Shin-ae approached the manager and asked if he could get his paycheck sooner. Unfortunately, the elder informs him that there is no such arrangement. Instead, he suggests, “Why don’t you try applying for a loan?” It goes beyond that. This frustrates Shin-ae, who realizes that her salary won’t be enough to pay her rent.

Meanwhile, Kousuke is reviewing Shin-Ae’s job application at the office. After a while, he decides to refuse. “Are you sure about the final application?” he is interviewed by his own assistant. To this, Kousuke replies, “Yeah, she’s not right for this job.” Interestingly, the assistant seems to know something about Shin-Ae and asks, “How is Shin-Ae?” Kousuke replies, “Yeah, she works at MacD’s.” The conversation then moves on to Kousuke talking about the conflict between Sang-Chul and Nol, which he describes as “very complicated.” He instructs his assistant to be careful in their work.

How Does Shin-Ae Handle the Chaos in Soushi’s House?

Yoo and Soushi

Later, we see Shin-ae go to Soushi’s house to help him with math. When he arrives, Soushi’s creepy roommate excitedly reports, “Ta-da,” with chicken wings and coke! They sit down to work on the math, but Shin-ae soon gets frustrated with that roommate. “If you want to learn,” she tells him, “you have to focus on solving problems”. In his anger, Soushi’s roommate replies, “I don’t understand these fancy words.” The exchanges are frustrating and hilarious. The doorbell rings, and Soushi answers it.

A few minutes pass, and Shin-ae starts to wonder where his cock went. She walks into the kitchen and hears a familiar voice saying, “I don’t know… it was weird… so I came by to say it.” Curious, she peeks inside to see a surprising sight: Nol is standing there with Soushi! Shin-ae bursts into the kitchen, and Nol, to his own surprise, spots Shin-ae.

Chapter 38: Unwelcome Surprises

Yeong-Gi and Shin-Ae Yoo

I Love Yoo Chapter 38 begins at Soushi’s house, where Shin-ae gets involved in helping the three men learn the math. It is soon revealed that the chicken, thought to be Shin-Ae’s, actually belongs to the study group. In the midst of the commotion, a man—with a bad streak—emerges from the bathroom in underwear and shouts, “Look at this!” This leads to awkward and hilarious moments as everyone reacts to their favorites.

Shin-ae, on the other hand, is disappointed that Yeong-Gi (Nol) ate his share of the chicken and confronts him, saying, “You took my chicken.” Yeong-Gi calmly says, “I can order more and have it delivered here ASAP! Nothing beats another party.” “Yeong-Gi?”  the cheerleader, surprised to see Yeong-Gi there, says suddenly. At this point, we also learn that the teddy bear-shaped underwear belongs to Soushi, who awkwardly asks for it back. “Then don’t leave your teddy bear undies lying around!” the prankster scoffs, which increases the playful tension in the room.

I Love Yoo Chapter 38 as progress, things are like unfold, Shin-ae questions Yeong-Gi, “Why are you here?” He explains that the house actually belongs to his grandmother, surprising Shin-ae and adding a mystery to Yeong-Gi’s family relationship. Yeong-Gi and Shin-ae, the three guys who finally sat down to study math, continue their conversation. Seeing Shin-Ae’s financial struggles, Yeong-Gi offers to pay him to teach. “Sigh… you’re teaching three guys for four hours, so you deserve $60,” he says, genuinely wanting to help her. He even offers to order more chicken to make up for his first bite. I Love Yoo chapter 38 ends with Shin-a considering Yeong-Gi’s kind gesture, and readers wonder if he’ll accept her help and if this shared time will bring them closer together.

I Love Yoo Chapter 39: A Generous Offer

Kousuke and Shin-Ae

I Love Yoo Chapter 39 begins with a makeover when Shin-a goes to the address Yeong-Gi’s mother gave, which turns out to be Kousuke’s mother’s luxurious upstairs Suite, which is immaculately clean, beautiful, and full of fragrance. Kousuke’s mother warmly welcomes Shin-ae and gives her a tour of the space. Curious, Shin-ae asks, “Is this their house?” “Oh no, this upstairs room is my private room—my place to stay away from the kids,” Kousuke’s mother explained.

She encourages Shin-ae to feel at home and shows her upstairs, where she can use the bathroom and watch TV if she wants. While Shin-ae appreciates the hospitality, she can’t help but miss Yeong-Gi and Q-tip (Kousuke), thinking to herself, “Why am I even thinking about them?

Ready to help with the cooking, Kousuke’s mother politely asks about Shin-Ae’s family. This recalls Shin-Ae’s recent memory of sharing chicken wings, and it falls into nostalgia for a moment. Starting back to work, she starts cooking, and Kousuke’s mother leaves, saying, “Honey, I’ll be right back. In the meantime, feel free to relax and try this outfit on.”

Curious, Shin-ae takes the dress to the bathroom to change but stops when she sees the price tag. Finding it too expensive, she decides she doesn’t want to wear it. Just as she is about to leave the bathroom, she suddenly runs into Kousuke. “What are you doing here?” he pauses in shock. “This is my penthouse,” he replied.

Chapter 40: Small Acts, Big Meanings

Kousuke

I Love Yoo Chapter 40 opens in Kousuke’s house, where he suspects that his mother might be pressuring Shin-ae to come over, making her feel quite uncomfortable. As Shin-ae prepares to leave, Kousuke’s mother approaches and remarks, “You look like you’re in a hurry.”

Kousuke then makes a teasing comment, saying, “A seductive dress won’t have any effect on me.” His mother responds, “Well, I invited her for dinner,” which leads to an awkward dinner setup. As they sit down to eat, Kousuke can’t help but stare at Shin-ae’s chest. His mother calls him out, asking, “Son, where are your manners? Stop staring at the young lady’s chest!”

Flustered, Shin-ae retorts, “What the heck, bro? Get your dirty eyes off my chest!” In a sudden burst of confidence, Kousuke quips back, “Excuse me? You don’t even have a chest to look at!”

As the dinner continued, Kousuke’s mother offered Shin-ae some wine. Despite her initial refusal, a mishap occurs, and wine spills on Shin-Ae’s shirt, causing embarrassment. Kousuke’s mother, overly friendly and eager to help, insists on handling the situation. However, Shin-ae feels uncomfortable about changing in front of Kousuke’s mother. Eventually, she wears one of Kousuke’s shirts, prompting him to plead, “Mother, could you please give Miss Yoo something more appropriate to wear?”

I Love Yoo Chapter 41: An Unexpected Ally

Shin-ae and Q-tip

Chapter 42 of I Love Yoo begins with Kousuke feeling uncomfortable seeing Shin-ae in his shirt. His reaction is shocking, prompting Shin-ae to decide to leave the house immediately. On her way to the door, Kousuke’s mother calls out, “Shin-ae, don’t go! What about your personal belongings?” “I don’t need them,” Shin-ae replies. He gets out of the way.

Leaving the street, Shin-ae walks the streets, lost in thought. Soon after, Kousuke pulls up and apologizes for everything that happened. He returns his things, and they continue talking. Kousuke then insists they go to the mall to pick out some t-shirts.

When they arrive at the mall, Kousuke wears sunglasses and a mask, prompting Shin-ae to ask why. “I do this to hide Megan,” he explains. He spends a lot of time in the office bothering me when he’s not busy.

I Love Yoo Chapter 41 ends with Shin-a picking out several t-shirts from Kousuke after they go shopping. As a token of gratitude, she gives him a cake and says, “Happy birthday!” Shin-ae doesn’t know what to call him then, but when Kousuke sees the cake, he reassures him: “Call me Kousuke.”

Chapter 42: What About Yeong-Gi?

Shin-Ae Yoo and Yeong-Gi

I Love Yoo Chapter 42 begins with Kousuke returning home, where his mother asks him to pick up his father from the airport. This request triggers a flashback for Kousuke, remembering his conversation with Yoo about Yeong-Gi and why he wasn’t there on Kousuke’s birthday. The memory goes back to his childhood when Yeong-Gi wished him a happy birthday, but Kousuke sadly replied, “Brother, don’t tell me; I am not your brother.”

It turns to Yoo, who wonders about Kousuke’s reaction. “It’s just food,” he says to himself; I have more important things to worry about.” Just then, her phone buzzes with a message from her friend Rika, who asks why Yoo didn’t come to school that day and if everything is okay. She replies that she was helping his father with some things.

I Love Yoo Chapter 42 ends the next morning, and Yoo’s landlord arrives to collect the rent. She tells her he will pay in 10 days. Afterward, he goes to McDonald’s for her first day of work, feeling nervous and irritable. When she arrives, she’s surprised to see Yeong-Gi come into order, “Yoo, you work here?”
