Hand Jumper, a thriller fantasy manhwa with a penchant for clever storytelling, follows Sayeon, a genius with the gift to turn back time, as she navigates her dark, brutal world. Cunning beyond the highest degree, Sayeon uses her analytical powers and a twisted yet strong sense of morality to inch her way to the top of the Aberrant Corps. Along the way, she begins to lose herself to grief and madness in an unmistakable descent towards insanity. When Sayeon threatens to murder an innocent boy to win a fight, her teammate, Ryujin, attempts to stop her. What will she do next? Here’s Hand Jumper Chapter 88 to cure your curiosity…
Hand Jumper Chapter 88: Unstoppable Sayeon

Hand Jumper Chapter 88 begins as Juni levitates Yesol above the ground using her blue ribbons, while Iseul directs his telekenesis-powered floating debris towards them. The random assortment of deadly objects sped towards Yesol like metal to a magnet and rammed into her, enveloping her in a painful suit of armour. Through the cracks in her prison, blue essence starts seeping out in dim flashes. With a sudden boom, blue shards break through the barricade. Iseul’s objects and Juni’s ribbons are flung outwards from the young sea captain’s body, shocking everyone- Iseul, Juni, and even Sayeon herself.
Yesol neatly lands on her hoverboard and flings a shard at Min’s chest, piercing him. Juni springs into action and, once again, ropes Yesol with her essence ribbons. She flings the Aberrant away from cell four and onto the wall behind.
The Grim Reaper Takes A Backseat
‘Perfect!’ Sayeon thinks, examining the circumstances through her typical Machiavellian perspective, ‘We can take both this boy and this Aberrant into custody!’ She decides not to rewind time again, thinking of how Ryujin had been mere moments away from activating her gift for the first time. Sayeon wouldn’t lie (debatable), she hadn’t expected Ryujin to use her Aberrancy against someone, not against her. She’d thought they were closer than that.
Juni- weirdly wearing a blue tie- approaches Sayeon… and slaps her across the cheek. “Weren’t you supposed to be smart?” she says, berating her for not leading the cell away from danger. She’d explicitly instructed her to ‘take her cell and run’! Sayeon tries to argue that her ‘instinct’ had told her to fight, but Juni doesn’t have any of it. Taking responsibility for her team members was no walk in the park. She preaches to Sayeon on the severity of recklessness and the permanence of death. Death… permanent? ‘Maybe for you,’ Sayeon scoffs at the statement, concluding Hand Jumper Chapter 88.

What Happened So Far?
Previously in Hand Jumper, Sayeon leads her cell- Iseul, Ryujin, and Min- into the city for a mission. Before she leaves, Juni warns her not to engage with any Aberrant. Sayeon couldn’t carry her entire team alone; she needed to look out for their safety. Meanwhile, Yesol, the youngest Sea Wolf captain, battles Father Hope and Heron in an intense battle. She was looking for a young child, Changsub, who’d left his Concordat nest. Despite Father Hope’s invisibility and Heron’s precision strikes, Yesol’s sheer wealth of power easily defeats them. Owing to a simple misunderstanding (she thinks ‘Father’ Hope is actually Heron’s father), she spares their lives. Later, she finds Changsub with a group of young crows and immediately attacks them, slicing the golden-haired boy’s head clean off his shoulders.
At the same time, Sayeon barely registers the incoming danger before Iseul’s obscene decapitation. She studies Yesol’s Aberrant gift briefly and then snaps her fingers. Rewind. This time, Sayeon sends Iseul away to bring Juni to the scene- a mere ploy to distract him. She brandishes a small knife and grabs Changsub. If Yesol wanted the boy, then that made him excellent leverage. Since she was the best equipped out of all four to fake a real hostage scenario- Iseul would never do such a thing, Min was too valuable to guard a small boy, and Ryujin wouldn’t listen; plus, Yesol might detect the slightest lie- she had to be prepared to really kill him.
However, Sayeon’s brilliant plan goes wrong when Ryujin holds her fingers to Sayeon’s head. Prepared to activate her gift, she begs Sayeon to step away from the innocent child. Not a moment sooner, Min-Sayeon’s ‘attack dog’ keeps his own green essence blades trained on Ryujin. Meanwhile, Yesol recognizes Ryujin with a shock of disbelief.
