In Down to Earth Chapter 155-164, Delilah and Zaida have a day out which turns out fun till she ends up in a situation she didn’t expect. Cherri comes to the rescue and guesses the truth about Zaida’s origin, giving her a slight scare. Zay asks for a break from modeling, acting weirder each passing day, worrying Kade. Down to Earth Chapter 155: Trapped
In Down to Earth Chapter 155, Delilah and Zaida go shopping. As they shop, Delilah asks if she forced her into this and she reassures her that she wanted to. She then picks out an outfit for Zay and asks her to take her cap off but she insists on keeping it. Wanting to treat Zay, she buys her the outfit and she is surprised by how kind she is. As they walk, she wonders if Delilah’s changed from the one in Kade’s memories.
The two then head to a cafe and she asks why Zay chose modelling. She tells her she hadn’t planned on it making Delilah ask what her dream job was. Thinking for a moment, she says she would like to do something with art. At that, the other girl says modeling is the only thing she wants. Once they are done eating Zay offers to pay. However, at the counter, she realizes she doesn’t know anything about money. Down to Earth Chapter 155 ends with her panicking, staring at the foreign bills in her purse.
Chapter 156: Cherri The Savior
Following Down to Earth Chapter 155, Chapter 156 opens with Zay panicking and Delilah asking what’s up. Just then, Cherri comes in, saving the day, and paying for them. The three girls step out, Delilah thanking Cherri and letting them know she’s heading home. The moment she’s out of earshot, she tells her that Kade had texted her asking to keep an eye on Zay. She wonders why he worried about her so much when Cherri says she was too. At that, she asks why and Cherri explains how Delilah can be unintentionally mean. She then asks what Zay’s up to and she invites her to go see Kade at Spender’s. She says she doesn’t want to be a bother but Zay takes her hand and assures her she loves her company. Happy, Cherri joins her.
Wanting to know her more, Cherri asks her questions about her favorite food, music, etc. She then asks where she went to school. She hesitates at that and when Cherri asks if she was home-schooled she says yes. At that, Cherri watches Zaida closely and asks, “You’re not from this planet, are you Zee?”, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 156.
Down to Earth Chapter 157: Lizard Person
In Down to Earth Chapter 157, Zay slowly asks how she found out. Cherri explains it’s easy to guess from the way she avoids personal questions, especially for a third-eye person like herself. Cherri says she knew all along that she was a ‘Lizard person’. This confuses her and she goes on about her theory of lizard people wanting to take over Earth. She then assures Zay that her secret is safe with her if she gets special treatment after the uprising. As confused as ever, Zay makes a deal.
Zay reaches Spender’s and Kade says he’ll take a while and, noticing her expression, asks if she’s fine. She says it’s about Cherri and that they’ll discuss it in the car. She asks if she can wait out and Kade shows her to the employee exit. Zay goes out to find Stace smoking. He takes a moment to process before putting out his cigarette and jumping to his feet. She apologizes for interrupting his alone time. He says he’s just been stressed out lately at which she tells him she’s heard that smoking is bad for health, making him think she’s teasing him.
Kade then watches her and calls her Bell. Seeing her confused, he explains that was the nickname he could come up with for her and she likes it. He walks over to her and defeatedly asks if she’d like to go out again sometime and she says, “Sure”. Stace then heads off with a ‘see you then’, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 157.
Chapter 158: Cosmo’s Thoughts
Down to Earth Chapter 158 opens with Zay and Kade in the car, Kade asking about what she wants to talk about. Zay asks if it’s obvious she’s different at which he says no, surprised. At that, Zay says Cherri found out she’s an alien. Shocked, he asks what happened, and she says she simply guessed. Understanding, he asks her how she phrased it, and, at the mention of ‘lizard person’, he relaxes and says Cherri used to call him that too.
Back at home, the two are gaming when Zay is hit with another headache. Worried, he gives her a pill for migraine, unsure of its effectiveness on her. Just then Zay hears someone thinking about food. Surprised, she looks down and realizes its Cosmo. Cosmo thinks of getting attention and leaps onto her lap, wanting to be petted. She looks toward Kade and asks if he hears that. At his confusion, she realizes only she can hear Cosmo. She then dashes to the bathroom and checks in the mirror, dreading what she’s about to find. Slowly parting her hair, she finds a bump in her forehead, close to her hairline. Down to Earth Chapter 158 ends with Zay panicking and thinking, “Not now”.
Down to Earth Chapter 159: A Good Mood
In Down to Earth Chapter 159, Kade knocks on Zay’s door, breakfast in hand, when she flies out, asking for hairspray. He asks if it’s for modelling and she says her hair has just been bothering her a lot. At that, he asks if she needs a haircut making her panic and struggle trying to explain. He smiles and tells her he’ll get some from MallMart after work and is about to pat her head when she waves him off saying her hair is greasy. He notes how it looks fine and Zay says it’s Zodian genetics. Kade, worried, asks if she’s fine and she reassures him, saying she’s just a bit groggy.
Taking the pancakes from his hand, she thanks him and says he’s the best. He blushes at that and asks if he can hold her hand since he can’t pat her head. He takes her hand and gently kisses it, saying goodbye.
At work, Stace is on the computer when he overhears Kade chatting to customers and being nice. Shocked, he gawks at him and when Kade catches him, hides under the table. Annoyed, Kade goes over to him and says he’s being weirder than usual. He calls him the weird one, asking if he’s a fake introvert. At that, Kade says he’s just feeling positive today and that he’s in a really good mood. He says, “Gosh I feel so chatty, I could just YELL ABOUT HOW MUCH OF A virgin you are”. He whispers the last part rendering Stace horrified and hissing how much he hates him. Kade starts laughing at that, his mood shocking Stace yet again. Down to Earth Chapter 159 ends with Stace thinking if it is because of Zaida.
Chapter 160: Zay’s New Abilities
In Down to Earth Chapter 160, Zay tests her newfound ability. She asks Cosmo if she can understand her and the cat perks up at the sound of her name, thinking of food again. Zay then focuses on Cosmo, trying to transfer her thoughts to the cat. She then catches her thinking Zay is challenging her to a fight and, before she can react, Cosmo pounces on her. The next scene shows her giving the cat treats and wondering if there is more to her ability or maybe more new abilities.
The scene changes to Stace, smoking outside Spender’s and wondering why he’s trying so hard for a girl who’s into someone else. He reminds himself that only work and money are important. Suddenly Kade appears, asking for his help. The two go into an angry customer who cannot redeem her points. He solves the issue and Kade thanks him, admitting he isn’t used to the digital work yet. He then looks at Stace and smirks again. Exasperated, he asks what now, and Kade says he loves having the upper hand. As he walks away, Stace asks, “What does Zaida even see in you”. Kade pauses and turns around, asking him to repeat that, and he brushes it off as sleepy talk, and that he’s just exhausted.
Kade returns home and looks around for Zay. Then he hears her calling for help from the bedroom and hurries inside. Zay asks him not to panic, saying she started to make things float but cannot stop it. Down to Earth Chapter 160 ends with Kade staring, dumbfounded, at a floating Cosmo and lava lamp, among other things.
Down to Earth Chapter 161: Reassurance
In Down to Earth Chapter 161, Zay explains how she was playing with Cosmo when things suddenly felt lightweight and got out of hand (literally). Zay cries for help, terrified she will hurt Cosmo. Kade calms her down and reaches for the cat, taking her out of the floating mess. The cat stays on the floor for a moment before floating again. Hopeless, Zay covers her face in her hands, admitting she’s scared. He puts a hand on his back and asks if anything else has been happening and reminds her she can talk to him about anything.
Zay bursts and says she has been hearing Cosmo’s thoughts and now she can make things float. Hopelessly, she asks how she could ever fit in. Crying, she says she would have to run away again and where she could go. At that, Kade stands up and gets Zay on her feet too. Hugging her tight, he assures her she will not have to run away and that they can solve it together. She relaxes when he says he’s there for her, making all the items drop to the ground. Down to Earth Chapter 161 ends with Kade watching her worriedly as she hugs Cosmo, relieved.
Chapter 162: A Hiatus
In Down to Earth Chapter 162, Zay floats in front of Kade, startling him, and asks him to deliver a letter to Stace. Confused, he asks what it is and Zay lets him read it. Reading it, he asks her why she’s taking a break from modelling. She says she needs time to clear her head at which he stares at the head band she’s wearing. He notices how different she is and worriedly wonders why.
At work, Stace is sitting behind the counter, remembering his childhood. Kid Stace, in tattered and torn clothes, listens closely to his grandfather, telling him the importance of his first day of school. His grandfather advises him to focus on studies and when he asks about friends, he says he will understand after his first day. At school, the kids make fun of his torn and stained clothes. In class, he asks the girl beside him for a pencil and she jumps away from him, saying he smells. Horrified, he thinks his grandpa was right and that he does not need friends.
Stace is pulled back to the present from his phone pinging. Kade asks to drop by the next day, despite it being his day off, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 162.
Down to Earth Chapter 163: Kade’s Worry
Down to Earth Chapter 163 opens with Stace and Kade at Burger Prince. Stace asks if the reason he chose a place outside of work was to discuss something serious. Saying it’s about Zay, he tells him she is sick or something like that since she hasn’t left home for days and that’s very unlike her. He tells him she is requesting a break and Stace is alert at that, asking if she’s fine. Brushing him off, Kade says he need not worry about that and Stace asks if two weeks is enough.
Back at home, Zay, all panicky, says two weeks is not enough. Kade says that’s all he got from Stace and that if she talked to him directly he would have given more time. Then he asks how she knows that’s not enough time. Zay quickly says she is just being greedy and that she needs more time for her hobbies. Kade, disappointed, tells her he saw her glowing in her sleep. She panics at that and says it is regular for Zodians and that it just means she was in deep slumber. Relieved, Kade pats her head and asks her to stop acting so strange if everything is alright. Just then he feels the bump on her head and asks if she hit her head. Turning away, Zay hides it and says she got a terrible blemish.
Kade relieved she’s fine, plops down on the sofa and says it’s their last day together since Suzy’s returning tomorrow. He suggests gaming or maybe cuddling and she perks up at that. She excuses herself to the bathroom for a moment and goes off. Inside, she washes her face and slowly checks her teeth. Down to Earth Chapter 163 ends with Zay finding her fangs growing.
Chapter 164: Night Terrors
Down to Earth Chapter 164, opens with the two fast asleep on the sofa, Zay in Kade’s arms. She dreams of being in Zodia and seeing a shadow of Kade. She asks to go back home at which he says they are home. Confused, Kid Zay looks around, and he offers her crayons, asking if she wants to draw. She takes them and tries to draw but nothing appears on the paper. Panicking, she says they are not home and turns to find Kade in a Zodian hood.
Angry, he warns her to wear her hood whenever they are outside, pulling hers up. Zay’s head starts to hurt and she turns to him for help, just to find Zodians in his place. She screams as long-stemmed plants grow out of her head. Zodians cut off the flowers from it, Kade among them, hurting her, and Zay screams, begging them to stop.
Zay thrashes in her sleep, screaming for help and Kade wraps his arms around her. That makes her scream, “GET OFF ME”, before she fully wakes up and realizes what happened. The two lie down again and she apologizes for waking him up. Worried, he asks if she wants to talk about it, and she says she just wants to sleep. Holding her hand, he tells her to wake him up if she needs him, and the two fall asleep.
Down to Earth Chapter 164 ends with Delilah seeing Spender’s latest post announcing Zaida’s hiatus, wondering what happened.
