In Down to Earth Chapter 75-84, Kade tries to let go of the pink box but is unable to do so. However, fate decides to test his strength by bringing back Delilah into his life. They meet her first at the fashion event, after which he lapses into silence for a whole month, making Zay feel helpless. He then sees her again at work and miserably realizes they will bump into each other more often. Throughout all this, she feels helpless and calls the only person she can. Growing Closeness of Kade And Zaida
Down to Earth Chapter 75: Letting Go
In Down to Earth Chapter 75 Kade still worries about the dream he had and wonders if Zay is alright back home. The scene shifts to her at home, cleaning and doing the laundry. He is surprised to find the house tidy and neat and she admits she wanted to clear up his schedule so that they could focus on her next Earth lesson. He is clueless about what he has to teach her when she comes up with an idea to clear out their things. She brings the container she brought from Zodia, carrying things from her home planet and his pink box.
Kade gets distressed by the mere sight of it and asks what she plans to do. Zay suggests throwing them away or at the least practicing doing so. She goes over to the clean trash can and dumps her box in it while he struggles with his. He asks her what she will do when she leaves. Down to Earth Chapter 75 ends with Zay surprised at Kade’s sudden question.
Chapter 76: Zay’s First Call
Zay is surprised by Kade’s sudden question in Down to Earth Chapter 75. In Down to Earth Chapter 76, He asks her what she plans on doing to sustain herself once she moves out and suggests that she should work on that. While she processes that, he says they cannot just throw away their past and that he needs more time to do so. She agrees with him and decides she should focus on her future first. She retrieves her box and floats off to the bedroom to put it back. Once she’s gone, Kade slaps his forehead blushing and annoyed at himself.
The next scene shows Zay looking up modelling and unsure of her capability to do it. She then looks up about art and finds out that she has to post her art on more platforms. Motivated she sets to work on more drawings. She falls asleep on the table, exhausted, and is awoken by her phone ringing. He calls her to ask what she wants for dinner and Zay realizes belatedly it’s he who called and asks ‘Why do you sound so handsome?’, surprising him. Before he could respond, she says how she’d like a snack (something to do with bread and cheese), and Kade, blushing red, roughly says ‘Got it’ before she hangs up saying Suzy’s calling.
Zay calls Suzy back and Suzy tells her about tomorrow’s fashion event and asks if Zaida would like to join her. She tells how it seems intimidating at Suzy assures her it’s not at all like that. She asks her to come to hang out and describes it as a fun party, Zay looks down at her failed attempts of drawing,g and Down to Earth Chapter 76 ends with Zay telling Suzy she’d love to.
Down to Earth Chapter 77: Zay’s Day Out
In Down to Earth Chapter 77 Zaida informs Kade she’s going to the event that night with Suzy. She says she will decide about Stace’s offer after the event. He says it’s fine as long as it’s her decision and not anyone else’s. When she asks if he would join them he admits to not feeling up to it. He tells her to be careful there and call him if she needs him.
The two are playing video games when Suzy arrives. She tells them they’ve got time and that she has come so that she and Zay can get ready together. While Suzy gives Zay a makeover, Zay asks if she could make a good earthling. Suzy, concerned, asks what she means at which she admits to feeling out of place among humans and wonders how Stace and Suzy think she can be a model. She asks Suzy what she thought about her the very first time they met. Suzy blushes and says she thought she was just a regular Spender’s customer but with pretty hair. She then tells her she sees her as a beautiful woman with potential, making her blush. She then takes a bag of outfits for Zay to try on, getting her excited.
In the bedroom, while Kade is looking at THE Polaroid, Suzy bursts in and announces they are heading off. He sees Zay, in a dull orange top that clings to her curves and black stockings. He blushes and doesn’t respond as they say their goodbyes and leave. Kade looks back at the Polaroid and drops it on the floor. Down to Earth Chapter 77 ends with Kade changing his mind and telling him he would like to join them.
Chapter 78: Season Finale
In Down to Earth Chapter 78 Kade regrets coming to such a crowded place when Zay approaches him and asks if he’s fine. She thanks him for coming along and expresses her pride in watching him move on. Suzy interrupts them and asks him to get them front-row seats while she shows her around.
They split ways and Suzy takes Zay to the backstage. As she admires the models, Suzy tells her models just have to show up while other people take care of the work. Stace notices her and approaches her. However, the moment she says ‘Hi’ he forgets everything and gets in a trance. Suzy pulls him out of it, asking if he still thinks she would make a great model making Stace respond with “Absolutely.” Suddenly there’s a buzz in the crowd and people make way for a famous model who accepted sponsorship of the event. She goes rooted to her spot, seeing who she is.
Kade is jittery in his seat, wondering why he couldn’t throw the box away, when Zay runs to him, out of breath. She tells him they have to leave immediately however it’s too late. Down to Earth Chapter 78 and Season One ends with Kade looking up and seeing Delilah.
Down to Earth Chapter 79: Depressed
In Down to Earth Chapter 79 Kade is playing video games when Zay calls him for dinner. He says he’ll come in a second and when she goes, drops the controller on the ground. The scene shows a flashback of the event. He sees Delilah walking past them. However she pauses, noticing him, he freezes but Delilah smiles and waves at him. She smiles back but he dashes off and she runs after him. On the way back she asks if she can put on music but Kade stops her, saying he has a headache.
Now it has been a month since the event and Kade has still not recovered. Whenever Zay asks something he responds with ‘Headache’ and goes about his day like a zombie. For a month he has always been on his phone, hasn’t cut his hair, rarely showers, and looks tired all the time. She notes how he has even stopped eating recently.
Back in the present, Kade says how he’s full and is about to put away his untouched food when she asks if they can talk. He excuses himself, saying he has a headache, and goes to the bedroom. Inside, he holds the pink box and hopelessly thinks about what he can do. Down to Earth Chapter 79 ends with Kade curled up on the bed, hugging the box.
Chapter 80: Another Run In
In Down to Earth Chapter 80, Zay is lying on the bed thinking about Kade when Suzy calls and asks if she would like to grab lunch with her. Already having finished lunch she refuses and asks about him and Suzy says he’s still the same. Suzy is about to hang up when she asks if they can talk tomorrow over lunch.
The next scene shows Kade, back to being the rude, brooding cashier. Stace goes over to him and tells him to get his shit together or else he would have to fire him again. He then gives him a load of work to do, making him give up and drop his head on the counter. While folding clothes on the shelf a customer goes over to him, asking for an item and he brushes them off, without turning around. The customer, pissed off, leaves. Just as she leaves someone pokes Kade in the back, and he exasperatedly says he doesn’t have time for a customer. At that, the stranger says, ‘Oh! But I’m not a customer.’ He freezes, knowing the voice all too well, and Down to Earth Chapter 80 ends with Kade turning to find Delilah.
Down to Earth Chapter 81: Space
Down to Earth Chapter 81 opens with Delilah asking Kade how he’s been. She notes he is uncomfortable seeing her and says she was surprised to see him at the show. She then says they would bump into each other often since she’s sponsoring Spender’s. Throughout all this, he remains silent and Delilah is about to leave saying he can approach her whenever she wants to and tells him to have a good day. He stops her as she leaves and wishes her a good day too, struggling to get the words out.
The next scene shows Zay asking Kade to come out of the bathroom since she has to pee. He opens the door, hair cut and face trimmed, shocking Zay. She calls him handsome and asks what made him change his mind. He admits to feeling gross at which she is happy and runs into the bathroom.
The scene changes to a cafe where Suzy, Ethan, and Zay are having lunch. She says how she doesn’t know what to do in such a situation with Kade and asks for help from the two. She reveals how he ‘groomed’ himself the other night and says she thinks it’s progress. Suzy however thinks the opposite and says he could have done so to impress Delilah. At this, Zaida gets depressed and drops her head on the table. Ethan tries to reassure her and Suzy tells him to give him some time and space, ending Down to Earth Chapter 81.
Chapter 82: That Shaggy Pervert
In Down to Earth Chapter 82 Suzy and Zay are walking through a park. Suzy says how it’s obvious Kade has not moved on from Delilah and then wonders what she saw in ‘that shaggy pervert.’ Zay, downcast, asks if giving him space would help to which Suzy pats her head, saying how she could live with her for a while if she thinks it’s a good idea.
Zay returns home to an exhausted Kade asking where she was. He says she hadn’t responded to his texts which made him worried and stay up for her. She apologizes and explains how they took a stroll in the park after lunch and lost track of time. He asks her to update him next time and plomps back onto the sofa, falling asleep immediately. She looks at him sleeping, thinking of what Suzy asked.
The next day Kade is about to head off to work when Zay stops him. She floats over to him and hugs him, reminding him she is always there for him if he ever needs to talk. The scene changes to Kade at work, loving the calm atmosphere. He suddenly realizes that Stace wasn’t there which would mean Delilah wouldn’t be either. Relieved, he thinks he might go out of control if he had to see her every day. Just as he thinks that Suzy apologizes and slams a bunch of posters of Delilah in lingerie on the counter, saying they have to be put up before they leave. Down to Earth Chapter 82 ends with Kade accepting his fate.
Down to Earth Chapter 83: Comfort
In Down to Earth Chapter 83, Kade is staring at the posters put up all over the store and curses his luck. Suzy thanks him for helping with that and pauses awkwardly. She puts her arms out to him, shocking him, and laughs and says how a shoulder pat would suffice. She then tells him she is his friend too and that he can talk to her if he needs to. This surprises him and he thanks Suzy. She tells him to rest well for tomorrow and when he asks, says how she overheard Stace saying there would be an in-store advertisement by Delilah.
Kade returns home to Zaida carrying two mugs of steaming hot chocolate. While watching TV, he drops onto the table, sighing heavily. Zaida asks if he’s alright and he says he’s just exhausted. She takes the blanket off the couch, wrapping it around them both, and rubs his back soothingly. He says how it feels good and thanks her at which she lets him know he can ask her for anything. He mildly asks if he can rest his head on her lap in a very low voice. Zay not able to quite catch that, asks him to repeat at which he says it is nothing.
Disappointed, Zay reminds Kade he doesn’t have to lie to her. At that, he lifts his head and asks for a hug. Happy, she says how she would do anything to make him feel better when he suddenly falls on her shoulder, hugging her tight. She rubs his back, assuring him things will get better. Down to Earth Chapter 83 ends with Kade nuzzling against Zay’s neck, surprising her.
Chapter 84: “Kade is Weird”
In Down to Earth Chapter 84, Zay realizes how this hug is different from the other times. Kade nuzzles against Zay’s neck and starts moving his hands up her body, asking if it’s too much for her. She says it’s fine as long as he feels better. He relishes the feel of her in his arms and traces her neck up with his nose, battling the urge to bite her. Zay loves the feel of it but is suddenly reminded of the Polaroid. She gently pushes him away, and he is shocked at himself and apologizes for going too far. She freaked out, and said it was simply that she forgot to text Cosmo ‘Happy night’. Zay excuses herself and floats away to the bedroom, wishing a confused Kade, ‘Happy Night.’
The next day, the moment Kade leaves for work, Zay calls Suzy. Suzy picks up the call to her shrieking, “KADE IS WEIRD.” Suzy responds by saying how she already knew that. She begs for more advice saying Kade had acted strangely with her and she doesn’t know whether to be happy or worried. Suzy apologizes for not being of much help since she doesn’t know his past and suggests she talk to any friend of his who knows him and his past well. That makes her remember someone and Down to Earth Chapter 84 concludes with Zay thanking Suzy for the idea, and hanging up.
