Down to Earth Chapter 205: Dustin Messes Up
In Down to Earth Chapter 205, a girl approaches Kade, who is working at the counter, shyly holding out an application. He takes it and says he will pass it over to his manager. He sees the girl looking about awkwardly before she thanks him and rushes off. Thinking she’s way more socially awkward than him, he clocks out.
Meanwhile, Dustin and Cherri take a walk in the park and he notes that she’s a bit down. When she confirms his doubt, he asks if it’s about Kade and she asks if the two of them talked. Getting annoyed, she asks if that’s why he joined her and asks why Kade can’t face her himself. Panicking, Dustin explains that he wants to talk but just cannot. Angered further, she turns and runs off back to her home leaving him realizing he worsened the situation.
At home, Zay is consoling Ethan, whose friend, Jessica, started avoiding him when she got a boyfriend. Listening to him, Kade wonders if that’s how the others felt about him. He then watches Zay telling him to talk it out with Jessica and Ethan says his graduation is near. Down to Earth Chapter 205 ends with Kade taking out his phone and taking Cherri in his contacts.
Chapter 206: Zay Snaps
Down to Earth Chapter 206 opens with Kade, his finger hovering over Cherri’s number, wondering how to start and if he should do it over the phone. Down to Earth Chapter 207: Befriending Cannon
In Down to Earth Chapter 207, Kade shows her how Cannon was very difficult to befriend and how he made him feel like an outcast. He shows how, once they were in middle school, they started getting along better, though he still got jealous. The day Delilah said she liked him, he said it back to her but admitted he was worried about their friends finding out. He tries to explain how it wouldn’t be right to them but Delilah stops him and says their friends shouldn’t keep them from being happy. Taking his hand and cupping her cheek, she lets him decide when to tell their friends. Down to Earth Chapter 207 ends with them deciding that they can keep it a secret till then.
Chapter 208: Coming Out
Down to Earth Chapter 208 opens with Kade saying he enjoyed the secrecy for a while but it got tiring soon. He confided in his mother and she says he has to be honest to his friends and that if they are good friends they will understand. She tells him to follow his heart but remember that no girl is worth all that trouble. His memory then shows Kade and Delilah holding hands and confronting Cannon. When the memory breaks Zay tells him to only go on if wishes to and he assures her he’s fine.
The memory shows Kade approaching Cannon at the skate park and asking if they can hang out. They bicker for a while before Cannon says it’s fine and that he’ll get over it. Saying he needed time to himself, he invites Kade to skate the next night, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 208.
Down to Earth Chapter 209: Betrayal
In Down to Earth Chapter 209, Kade is surprised at Cannon’s reaction and is about to apologize but the other guy stops him. Saying they’ll catch up tomorrow, Cannon goes off. The next day at school, he noted how Cannon wouldn’t even look his way and gets confused. However, that night he goes to the skate park and waits for him. As he is about to get up and leave, two scary-looking guys stop him. He struggles to recall the memory and it cracks, showing bits of the guys beating him up badly.
Confused, Kade demands who they are and they say someone’s mad at him and said he’s a real piece of shit. As Kade looks up, he sees Cannon walking towards them, scowling. He introduces Kade to his “more loyal friends”. As the two guys hold Kade up, Cannon punches him straight in the face, reminding him he’s not to be messed with.
The memory completely cracks and Kade pulls away, saying he needs a break. Zay slowly asks if that’s why he doesn’t want to talk to Cherri and he says she looks up to her brother so much. Zay suggests going out for fresh air. The two sit on the porch and he says how he avoided everyone after that. Both Delilah and him left the group completely and they had thought it was for the best. Zay points out his mother had warned him that no girl is worth that much trouble but says she understands him now. Kade, determined, says he will talk to Cherri and let no one walk over him, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 209.
Chapter 210: Zay’s Support
Down to Earth Chapter 210 opens with Zay being annoyed at her itchy horns. She bathes gets ready and goes to wake Kade up. Drowsy, Kade says he slept rough but perks up at the sight of pancakes Zay made for him. Over breakfast, suspicious, he asks why she’s being extra nice to him. She says she knows he’s going through a tough time and wishes to help in any way possible. Kade warmed at the thought and thanked her.
At work, Kade texts Cherri, asking if he can drop by. Just then the new girl trips and falls on a box full of stuff that he had misplaced accidentally. He apologizes and helps her get up. He tries to talk to her but she gets flustered and quickly dashes off. Just then Cherri replies and says he can come over, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 210.
Down to Earth Chapter 211: Kade Confronts Cherri
In Down to Earth Chapter 211, Kade goes over to Cherri’s and is surprised to find Dustin open the door. He says he sorted things out with her and convinced her to talk to him. Wishing him luck, he goes back to his place. Inside, Cherri greets him curtly and says she’s still mad at him but he should have a chance to explain himself. She says she never even thought of it till her brother pointed it out and said he would disappear again. Not looking at him, she tells him her brother told her not to talk to you but she wishes to be friends with him and wants to understand. She asks again why he ditched them.
Kade says it was entirely his fault and that he focused more on his relationship with Delilah. He apologizes for that and she says she knew that already but asks why Delilah went along with it. He then explains it was because he broke a deal with Cannon. At that Cherri gets up, mad that he dragged her brother into this. Kade jumps up to explain, making one of Zay’s gems fall out of his pocket. Cherri picks it up, curious, and Kade quickly grabs it. The moment his hand connects with the Zodianite, she sees his memory of Cannon beating him up. Shocked, Cherri says ‘Cannon?’, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 211.
Chapter 212: Cherri Sees The Truth
Down to Earth Chapter 212 opens with Cherri demanding if he saw it too and asking if it was a memory. Panicking, Kade’s head swims, thinking of what to say. He then decides to drop the act and be honest with her. He tells her that her brother isn’t a bad guy, but that was the day he found out that Cannon was never a friend. Kade explains to her that he distanced himself from everyone for that reason. Cherri’s legs go out under her and she hugs herself, unable to believe what she saw was true.
Crying, she apologizes to Kade for misunderstanding him so much. She says she believed her brother’s lies and called him selfish. She cries into Kade as he soothes her, saying it’s not her fault and apologizing.
Meanwhile, at home, Zay is drawing when she hears someone opening the door. Excited, she flies to the front door, saying, “I missed yo-“, stopping mid-sentence when she sees Cherri. Down to Earth Chapter 213: Sleep Over
In Down to Earth Chapter 213, Cherri looks at the storm outside and informs the other she is shit scared of lightning. Glowing, Zay asks if she’s gonna sleep over and Cherri says yes. Once settled, she asks her if she can read minds and tests it. At Zay’s shocked reaction to her thoughts, Cherri confirms her ability.
Cherri thanked Kade for being honest with her, knowing it wasn’t easy for him. He apologizes for holding out for as long as he did and she says she still won’t forgive him for asking her out after Delilah. She then notes how much he cares about Zay at which Zay suddenly gets up and excuses herself. In her wake, Cherri, teasing, asks if they are in love and comments about the heavy sexual tension. Kade turns away, blushing hard, and says it’s a little different. She thinks of Cherri running away crying and says how he had thought dating others would help him move on. He says he never thought about the woman’s feelings or about him using them.
He then says he never wants her to forgive him for that. Cherri says he is not a shitty person and that he was just in a bad situation. She then asks if she loses her brother after they talk, can she call him big bro. Smiling, he says of course. Meanwhile, inside, Zay listens to it all, proud of both of them.
The next day, Cannon is at Cherri’s flat, looking around for his sister. Hearing a car outside, he looks out and is shocked to see his sister come out of Kade’s car and so Down to Earth Chapter 213 ends.
Chapter 214: Best Brother?
Down to Earth Chapter 214 opens with Cherri going in to find her brother sitting inside. He immediately tells her anything Kade told her is a lie. Cherri, shocked, remembers the memory she had seen in Kade, of Cannon beating him up. She gives her brother one last chance to come clean but he storms off. Feeling overwhelmed, she wonders who she can trust.
The next scene shows Kade, Suzy, and Stace at work. Suzy admires his new hair color and says it notes him. He notices Kade and he admits to worrying about Cannon and what he would do. As he panics, both Suzy and Stace put a hand on his shoulder and reassure him they are there for him. Suzy suggests they all go somewhere to let loose and Stace is happy to find he is a part of the ‘all’.
Meanwhile, at home, Kade’s mother decides to drop by and is disappointed to find his car missing. She notices the light in the living room and perks up at the thought of Zaida being home. She goes in, enthusiastic to see Zaida’s reaction to a gift she got her, concluding Down to Earth Chapter 214.
