Castle Swimmer Chapter 23-25: The Escape Attempt

Castle Swimmer Chapter 23
Kappa and Siren

Castle Swimmer chapter 23 begins with Queen Nee reminiscing about her past life. She reveals how she was mistaken for a prince, and after many years of denying her authentic identity, she finally embraced herself. This inner struggle produces doubt about her ability to rule over others. Queen Nee’s story should remind us that societal expectations should never define our identity. We must find ourselves and choose our identities based on our desires and strengths.

As they continue this discussion, Siren curiously asks whether the queen obtained the dungeon key. They explained in detail that their real motive was to know the surroundings before making a proper decision. This action emphasizes how the queens think more strategically. Castle Swimmer chapter 23 ends with Kappa almost squeezing through the prison cell and eventually managing to slide through.

The Making of An Escape Plan

Escape Planning

Chapter 24 starts with the queens desperately trying to form an escape plan to get Kappa out of the castle. Their initial idea is to hide him among bags of smelly plants so that their odour can mask his presence. Meanwhile, Siren reminds them that Kappa is bound to him by the prophecy, and if Kappa is moved too far from him, he will be magically pulled back towards him.

Siren and Kappa discuss the details of their risky plan in a heartwarming conversation. Kappa asks whether he will die quickly if this fails. In response, his beloved friend promises to find a way to save him.

The chapter concludes with a touching farewell between Kappa and Siren that ends in silence. Their deep bond is expressed when they say goodbye without words. With much reluctance, Kappa gets into the smelly bag of plants, and the chapter closes on this tense note.

Interception

Queen Susca

Castle Swimmer Chapter 25 opens with high intensity as the characters leave the dungeons and approach the gates. As they reach the castle, the formidable Queen Susca blocks the guests and starts questioning them about the rumors about the castle. Following the argument, the Queen seems to believe they are here for peace. Nonetheless, she does something surprising and aggressive – with her spear, she rips the bag of stinking plants, exposing Kappa, the Beacon.

Chapters 26 to 29: The Runaway Prince

Kappa and Siren

Chapter 26 starts with Queen Nee throwing disgusting plants at the shark people, causing distraction. Siren takes advantage of the situation and tries to run away with wounded Kappa. As soon as the guards came close to capturing Siren and Kappa, the ceiling fell on top of them. This incident lets them grasp the opportunity to whisk somewhere safer. In the next scene, the Castle guards take Queen Nee and Queen Krilli away. On the other hand, Queen Susca is furious at the guards as they couldn’t catch Kappa and Siren.

Skiff, the Guard

Prince Siren, Kappa, and Skiff

Castle Swimmer Chapter 27 opens with a tense pursuit as the guards pursue Siren and Kappa. Knowing how desperate the situation is, Prince Siren realizes that their only hope lies in Skiff’s assistance. This decision portrays Siren’s faith in Skiff and desperation to save Kappa. Upon meeting Skiff, Siren tries to convince him to help them run away and provide necessary aid for Kappa’s wounded leg. This scene is captivating because of its dialogue about Siren’s desperation and Skiff’s inner struggle.

Skiff’s Tested Loyalty

Siren and Skiff

Chapter 28 begins with an emotive monologue from Skiff, the character who has suffered many tragedies but found happiness through friendship with the Prince. He expresses his concern, saying, “If I let you go, then you will die.” He was a young boy when tragedy struck his whole family, leaving only him; it was during those dark times that they became friends. Despite reminiscing their childhood memories, Skiff remains unwilling to allow Kappa to walk away.

The Prince assures Skiff that his actions will not doom the Shark people. Instead, he resolves to find another means of breaking the curse without killing Kappa. This chapter climaxes as Skiff hears determination in Siren’s voice and permits them to leave the palace.

The Monster

Kappa and Siren

On the verge of escaping the castle, three guards emerge from nowhere before they can taste freedom. They quickly seize Kappa from behind. On the other hand, Siren finds himself trapped when two other guards converge on him. Siren, who is now backed into a corner, is saved by Kappa as he yells out to warn him and the guards of imminent danger, but his pleas are ignored. At this moment, an eerie creature suddenly pops up in front of Siren, releasing sheer terror between them. This section focuses on the growing bond between Kappa and Siren. Kappa demonstrates bravery and loyalty by trying to alert Siren and the guards despite being in immediate danger.
