Baby Tyrant Chapter 1 opens with Gyeoul Yoon, a young woman, on the edge of a rooftop, threatened by her father for money. Despite his intimidation, she refuses to give in, and in his anger, he raises his hand to strike her. In a moment of horror, she slips over the edge and meets her fate. Flashbacks reveal Gyeoul’s troubled past; she grew up in poverty, abandoned by her mother followinh her parents’ divorce. As an adult, her father relentlessly demanded money and ultimately stole everything she had. As she plummets to what seems like a tragic end, Gyeoul wishes only for peace.

Suddenly, the scene shifts to another world, where a baby named Mabel is introduced. We learn that Gyeoul Yoon has been reincarnated as Princess Mabel Gardenia Ermaneau, the second child of the emperor in the Ermaneau Empire. Tragically, her mother died shortly after giving birth to her.

Nestled between them is the Abelardo Empire, a sacred land where an oracle delivered a prophecy at Mabel’s birth: “At the end of the east, a seed of resurrection has been planted.” The Abelardo Empire sent a message to Emperor Estevan Nis Ermaneau, requesting that he send his daughter, believing Mabel to be the prophesied seed. However, the emperor refuses to let his daughter go.

In the emperor’s chamber, his son, First Prince Oscar Alle Ermaneau, eavesdrops on the conversation. He has been longing to meet his baby sister but has faced repeated rejections from his father. Noticing his sadness, the emperor finally agrees to let him see Mabel.

Meanwhile, Mabel is feeling bored and quickly drifts off to sleep. She awakens to the sound of footsteps as the emperor and Oscar enter the room. Initially reluctant to see her father, she is pleasantly surprised to recognize Oscar as her brother. Although he dotes on her, she finds the attention a bit annoying and wishes for them to leave. However, her expression is misinterpreted by her nanny, who thinks she is hungry and proceeds to feed her milk.

The servants panic at the scene, but Estevan oddly compares her vomit to holy water, leaving Mabel feeling even more uneasy. Looking to the others for support, she realizes that no one seems to understand her distress.

Days pass, and neither her father nor her brother shows any intention of leaving her alone; they frequently visit her, disrupting her desire for a quiet life. One day, Mabel hears a rumor that an egg of the guardian deity hatched on the same day she was born. While some in the palace believe it, she dismisses it as mere gossip.

Determined to improve her physical abilities, Mabel has been working hard to move her hands and feet. She succeeds in grabbing toys but struggles to hold up her head, which leads to frustration. Just then, Oscar, looking messy and dirty, bursts into the room, joyfully greeting his sister. He heads off to wash his hands, but the nanny scolds him.

Noticing Mabel trying to lift her head, the nanny misinterprets the situation, thinking Mabel is unwell, and hastily asks another maid, Larimah, to summon a physician. Panic spreads among the staff, and Mabel’s annoyance grows as she watches the chaos unfold. Baby Tyrant Chapter 3 concludes with the Emperor rushing to her room.

Chapter 4: First Time Outside

The physician examines her and confirms that she is completely healthy. Relieved, Estevan holds her in his arms, and she finds unexpected comfort in his embrace.

The narrative shifts to a flashback of ten minutes earlier, where the Emperor is in a meeting with other officials. They have finally captured the notorious Demon of Devlin, a recurring threat to the Ermaneau empire. However, to their surprise, it turns out that the demon is just a child. During this meeting, Estevan receives urgent news about Mabel’s supposed illness and hurriedly rushes to her side.

In the next scene, the maids dress Mabel and prepare her to go outside for the first time. Initially disinterested, she soon finds herself intrigued by the outside world and the sights of the imperial palace. However, she suddenly feels cold, prompting the servants to fuss over her to keep her warm. Estevan comes to check on her and wishes her a good time, even draping his special fabric cloth around her for extra warmth.

The scene shifts to a picnic beside the lake, where Mabel sits on Oscar’s lap. As she admires the sky and her surroundings, she begins to feel sleepy. Oscar, noticing her drowsiness, hugs her and encourages her to sleep peacefully, showering her with affection. Mabel wonders why he loves her so much, struggling to understand the family’s warm sentiments towards her, which feel entirely new.

Chapter 5: The Guardian Deity

Feeling a bit sad for him, Mabel reaches out to comfort Oscar and insists that they go find the guardian deity together.

As they all search for the deity, they come up empty-handed. Then, Mabel notices something shiny on the side and calls for the others. Oscar turns to see a golden kitten before them. Just as the guardian deity approaches them, it sneezes and scampers away. The servants worry that Mabel has stayed outside too long and might catch a cold, so they decide to head back to the palace.

On their way back, they run into Duchess Donovan. Oscar seems uneasy, and Mabel remembers that Duchess Pacifica Donovan is his birth mother. After divorcing the emperor, she has always held a complicated place in Oscar’s life. Mabel worries that the duchess might not like her, being the daughter of the emperor’s second wife. To avoid any awkwardness, they hurry past the duchess just as a commotion begins to unfold outside, concluding Baby Tyrant Chapter 5.

Just as they begin to depart, the boy collapses, allowing the knights to finally seize him.

In the next scene, an attendant rushes to report the incident to the emperor. He’s anxious about how to inform the emperor that the Demon of Devlin briefly met with the princess, fully aware of the emperor’s overprotective nature. Taking a deep breath, he shares the details, but the emperor remains surprisingly calm. However, when the aide mentions that Mabel said “Kit” as her first word, the emperor loses his composure and shatters his teacup in shock. His sanity frays as he processes the information, and he instantly rushes outside.

Meanwhile, Mabel feels uncomfortable and unusually hot, her mind wandering back to the boy she saw earlier. Just then, the emperor approaches her and picks her up, which annoys Mabel. In her excitement, she starts babbling “Kit.” The emperor feels a mix of joy and disappointment; he’s thrilled to hear her speak but wishes her first word had been “father.” Regardless, his heart warms at her development, and Baby Tyrant Chapter 6 concludes with him granting her the northern forest where the kitten lives.

Mabel feels utterly speechless.

Fast forward to when Mabel is three months old, the palace receives visitors from the Abelardo Empire—holy priests who believe Mabel to be the prophesied seed from an oracle they received. The emperor is displeased with their visit but feels unable to turn them away. Meanwhile, Mabel, bored in her cradle, is visited by Oscar, who begins reading academic papers to her, much to her annoyance. Just then, the emperor enters the room with the priests, and Baby Tyrant Chapter 7 ends with the priests expressing excitement to see Mabel while she feels a wave of nausea coming on.

Baby Tyrant Chapter 8 begins with the head priest approaching Mabel, praising her for her good health and divine power. The emperor keeps a watchful eye on the priest, warning him not to get too close. As he nears, Mabel feels a wave of nausea. The priests then discuss how they have captured the Demon of Devlin, advising caution as the demon seeks to reclaim its territory. After they leave, Mabel’s nausea subsides, but she feels uneasy about their words. Estevan and Oscar, sensing something amiss, assure her they will keep her safe.

Later that night, after her caregivers leave to rest, Mabel awakens and decides to practice rolling over, determined to grow up quickly and escape the confines of the palace. Just as she focuses on her goal, she hears footsteps approaching and becomes frightened. To her dismay, it’s the head priest from earlier. He addresses her respectfully, but he has sinister plans to kidnap her and take her to the Holy Kingdom. Mabel’s fear prompts her to scream, and the priest attempts to calm her. However, her cries grow louder, drawing attention. As he tries to use the commotion to escape with her, Mabel manages to roll over successfully, inching away from him. Baby Tyrant Chapter 8 concludes with Mabel finding a moment of triumph in her small victory.
