Osora stands out as one of the best webtoons when it comes to the blend of romance and fantasy genres, as well as queer webtoons. The way ToniRenea has forged the Calaveras and Sergos Kingdom, focusing on the intentions and agencies of each character is commendable. Osora primarily deals with the chemistry of Arias and the titular character. Alongside that, the Calaveras kingdom is witnessing a budding relationship between the princesses. In Osora Chapter 49 we learn Celia is looking at Catalina a little differently. On the other hand, Osora and Arias are trying their best to keep their changed dynamic a secret but alas!
Osora Chapter 49: Sleepover And Stories
Osora Chapter 49 begins with Catalina waking up Celia to ask if she could sleep with her. And, certainly, the latter can’t refuse her. Upon asking about the nightmare, Catalina opens up saying it’s the molestation incident. And, although it happened four years ago, it feels like it’s happening at this moment. Trying to uplift her spirit, Celia replies that the old guard is rotting in hell and she will never see him again. This prompts her to open up a little more and she expresses her fear of men, it’s not just about the old guard. Celia agrees but also lets her know that there are some decent men out there as well. To which she replies, “Why do people even like men? Women are much nicer and prettier and softer.” Not being able to conceal the goofy side, Celia says she can’t argue that.
In a moment of silence, after looking at Catalina, Celia realizes her heart is beating faster than usual. However, she ignores it thinking it must be a caffeine overdose. She tries to start a conversation and compliments Rocky for being her guard, there can’t be a better option. To which Catalina mentions Osora and how he will protect her, “All men should be like Osora.” This makes the Calaveras princess a little jealous and she wonders why she is in her bed instead of her brother’s if he is so perfect. So, she asks Catalina to go to sleep.
Not wanting to stop talking, Catalina mentions that she read the story. Excited to hear that, Celia gets up a little and asks, “You just skipped to the part I told you about, didn’t you?” She directly asks her if she likes the book, which prompts Catalina to ask if she can borrow the other books. Promising she will give the books tomorrow, Celia asks her to sleep.
Celia and Osora’s Sibling Banters
Displaying her adorable side, Catalina asks Celia if she can tell her a story. The latter can’t help but call her a little kid, but Catalina says she is feeling anxious and wants to distract herself. So she decides to tell her a story about her and Osora’s childhood.
Celia started locking the door of her room from an early age and instead of giving her privacy, Osora learned how to pick the lock. And, he would play the weirdest pranks on her. So, she started doing the same with him. He used to always demand her to make him bread pudding. Osora likes bread pudding only when his sister makes it. Celia asks Catalina to not believe Osora when he says he doesn’t like his sister’s cooking. Catalina realizes the reason why she likes the Calaveras princess so much is because she is confident and secure. She hugs her and addresses her as her best friend.
Celia apologizes because she told Osora that her shy friend likes girls. Catalina asks if he is mad. To which she admits yes he is but not because of this. He is mad at his sister for pointing out his feminine features. She asks Catalina if she is angry at her. When she says no, the Calaveras princess asks why she is never mad at her, she is allowed to be mad. She plans on surprising Osora because her little brother is mad at her.
Osora Chapter 49 ends with Osora shouting at Arias for giving him a hickey. To which Arias says he did the same to him. From now on they have to do it in a place that people can’t see.
What Happened So Far In Osora?
Princess Catalina seeks comfort from Princess Celia after a nightmare about her childhood assault. She decides to sleep beside her, and Celia can’t say no to her. (No, not because she is a princess, because the Calaveras princess finds her goddamn adorable!) On the other hand, Arias and Osora can’t keep their hands to themselves. While the former is all goofy and giddy having managed to break the prince’s pride, Osora realizes he has never been this happy before. However, every emotion is fleeting, especially happiness. So, at the back of his mind, he knows that he needs to build a barrier between them to keep Arias safe. But, for now, he just wants to hold him as close as possible.
Back in the Sergos Kingdom, Mar, who is stuck in the prison wants to gain the trust of Lord Hyrus. Upon talking to Sunni, he learns about Osora and Arias and how they are more than just friends. She also reveals that Lord Hyrus plans to make the Prince of the Calaveras Kingdom one of them by giving him sergo powers. He wants to use Osora and Arias’s affection for each other to their advantage. Apollo appears and points out how Mar is trying to fish information, displaying he is smarter than other Sergos and he keeps an eye on everyone. We will learn more about our adorable couple and their fate in Osora Chapter 50.
