The Ki Sisters has taken a fascinating turn! Our love birds Junhui and Jenny now have a new barrier in their relationship apart from Jenny’s sisters and Seho – Queen Lola! In the previous chapter, we discovered how Junhui is afraid of her presence. Although it seemed confusing by the end of the chapter we learned that Lola is Junhui’s ex. And, if you’re smacking your forehead thinking all of this happened had to happen right before their confession!? Well exactly, that’s what was supposed to happen, according to Jaerim and Seho’s plan. Still a bit confused? Keep reading, because The Ki Sisters Chapter 29 is about to devastate our protagonist.
The Ki Sisters Chapter 29: Lola’s Intention
The Ki Sisters Chapter 29 begins with Jenny entering the class and hearing everyone talk about Junhui and Lola. Although knowing Lola is his ex-girlfriend baffles her, she decides to prioritize the confession. She begins, “Ever since we first met, I…” However, she gets interuppted by Lola, “You want to ask Junhui out, huh? Sorry, but I’ll have to reject you on his behalf.” (Talk about audacity!) Jenny can’t help but asks what gives her the right to take such a stand. And Lola begins her story on how she and Junhui promised to spend the rest of their lives together ten years ago. This time Jenny interrupts her, “Let’s talk outside Junhui.” This prompts him to stop Jenny from interuppting her but before he could finish, Lola flips the table. (Apparently, that’s what she does when she is interuppted!)
Lola starts from the top how she and Junhui met ten years ago, how he is her first crush, and first kiss. They were eight years old when they promised all their “firsts” would be with each other. According to her, one should never break two things – “A promise and someone else’s skull.” (What a line!) Junhui tries to make sense saying they broke up ten years ago. But, she believes they didn’t break up since he ran away before she could give an answer. “Love is like sitting in the middle of a movie theatre. It’s not easy to enter or leave.” (AGAIN, what a line!) Jenny stands up saying her argument is completely unreasonable.
Jenny Ki Feels Defeated
Being true to the genre, the next scene of The Ki Sisters is extremely hilarious. Junhui tries to stop Jenny saying no one can insult Lola or else they have to face her lethal move. And before Miss Ki could fathom what is happening, Lola starts click-clacking her nails and within a few seconds Jenny and Junhui drop on the floor. She makes it very clear that there’s no place for Jenny here, making the latter run away from the class. Although Junhui tries to catch her, Lola grabs her hoodie and drags him back to the classroom.
Jenny is wailing up in the classical theater club. She is unsure of her next step. Should she beg Lola to leave him? Or should she wait for them to break up? Seho appears saying their homeroom teacher is looking for her. He wonders if Lola did her job right and is there any more chance for Junhui in Jenny’s life. Although he feels guilty for making her sad, he is also happy by the whole thing happened. She asks him how was Junhui’s previous relationship. Seho sits down saying it’s a long story, concluding The Ki Sisters Chapter 29.
What Happened So Far?
Jenny and Junhui dreamt of sunshine and rainbows, and dark grey clouds covering their fantasy world. After a very awkward but sweet date, the main characters become certain about their emotions towards each other. Well, as they say, keep your relationship private! Because the moment she reveals it to her sister Jaerim, her mind started running and now she will break their bond even before it begins. And that’s where we meet Queen Lola – a perfectly planned plot of Jaerim and Seho. Lola enters the school by pushing Jenny and almost ruining the hand-made chocolates she made for Junhui. Her entrance makes her intention very obvious.
On the other hand, Junhui gets a brain fog seeing Lola after all these years. Initially, his behavior is very confusing to the readers. Is she a friend? Did Junhui do anything bad to her? By the end of The Ki Sisters everyone in class including Jenny learns that Lola and Junhui used to date.
